“They are already calling you ugly!” Shame on keyboard warriors picking on 4 year old, Mueni Bahati

Okay the trolling, name calling and trolling little children should stop! Keyboard warriors hiding behind their computers and phone screens should be ashamed for picking on small kids who barely understand anything!

After Mr Seed and his wife came out to reveal that they are a few characters here and there who have been abusing their son Gold; another parent, Yvette Obura has also come out to reveal that she has also been receiving such comments about her daughter.

Mr Seed and Nimo’s son, Gold

As seen on her post, Yvette Obura not only poured out her heart to the young girl; but also shared a few tips teaching her daughter how she will manage to over look the hate speech and hate on social media once she is older.

Reading through the post, one can’t help but hold back their tears as Ms Yvette reveals how cruel social media users have since become. She wrote;

Yvette with daughter, Mueni

 You’ll understand even in your silence; you will still be castigated. But in all these mama, live your purpose.Be ugly,fat,thin, disabled but never forget to appreciate God for HIS doing.It’s a cruel world out here mama, people learnt to spread hate more than love without them thinking about other people’s emotions but it will always be you against the world.

Calling her ugly

What caught many people’s attention is the fact that there are those who have been calling Mueni Bahati ugly. Not quite sure whether this is because Bahati’s other children are light skinned – but if you ask me…. Mueni is gem and her skin tone is what makes her an African princess. Anyway Yvette went on to add saying;

Bahati’s eldest daughter

Your life is out there as you grow up be ready for everything that will be thrown at you, they’re already calling you ugly but in my eyes you’re the most beautiful person . ????Be like mummy a weak woman with a strong GOD.I love you mama @mueni_bahati,

Keyboard warriors!

Well we all know that cowards don’t pick on people their size and unfortunately today we have to face idiots who throw shade at small children! What a shame!

Khaligraph Jones responds to rumors claiming he dissed Bahati and his wife

Khaligraph Jones remains unapologetic about his latest song dubbed Hao.

The song has been receiving massive attention for days now; as fans look forward to listening to the part where the ‘OG’ dissed Bahati and his wife!

Most social media users were left shocked by how Khaligraph called out a fellow artist; who is not just a husband but a father of 3. Khaligraph shamed him for allegedly letting his wife control and baby him. In the song Khaligraph Jones goes ahead to spit saying;

Khaligraph Jones ft Masauti

Kuwa celebrity ni garama juu wakishakujua ni lawama, Bahati akianza alikuwa mtoto wa mama sahii twitter amegeuziwa yeye ni mtoto wa Diana hakuna huruma siri ni kulenga tu

Khaligraph Jones speaks

However speaking during his Instagram live session, Khaligraph Jones denied dissing Bahati or his wife in the new song.

According to Khaligraph, he was just echoing what many have been saying on Twitter and Instagram!

Rapper, Khaligraph Jones

For him, this was just another creative way to create awareness on the different types of bullying Kenyans on social media have recently been accommodating. He explained himself saying;

“I said Bahati akianza alikuwa mtoto wa mama sahii twitter amegeuziwa ni mtoto wa Diana. First of all, that is not a diss and I’m seeing people who are trying to make it sound or look like Khaligraph Jones is dissing Bahati. I’m just echoing the sentiments of these people on twitter so Bahati manze usijali Khaligraph Jones hakuwa anakudiss,”

Mulamwah exposed as a bully

Khali’s new song drops just a few day’s after Mulamwah announced that he was quitting comedy and the online life as he could no longer handle the bullies!

Comedian Mulamwah

But even before this could settle, fans on social media went all out to expose him as one of the notorious bullies known on social media.

Many felt this was a move to gain sympathy from online fans who already knew the type of person Mulamwah is!

But as far as bullying is concerned in the entertainment; it’s a shame that celebrities are on the forefront encouraging such petty acts just to get noticed.

Bahati responds to Khaligraph Jones’ diss!

Bahati has been receiving a lot of back lash from fellow artists and fans on social media.

After being exposed for dragging Peter Blessing to court for allegedly quitting EMB records; fans on social medians she  stopped viewing him as a gospel artist.

So far he has been dissed by Willy Paul several times but never has he ever thought of responding!

However after Khaligraph Jones released a new song where he threw some excess shade about Bahati being Diana’s son, the singer has decided to respond and unfortunately or rather fortunately he enjoys being Diana’s baby!

Bahati responds to Khaligraph’s diss

Through his Instagram page, Bahati has gone ahead to reveal that being Diana’s baby is the best thing that ever happened to him.

Those who assumed he would take this as an insult; have been left looking for places to hide their faces as Bahati seems to careless about the diss track.

He went on to write saying;

Bahati with his wife

Bahati Akianza Alikua Mtoto Wa Mama • Sahiiii Ni Mtoto Wa Diana and I’m Loving it ❤️ @DIANA_MARUA

From the way Bahati has been reacting on his social media pages; it seems that he has now grown thick skin and is not worried what fans say about him.

Diana Marua’s response

Looking at Diana’s page, she also seems to be in support of her husband’s actions and sadly for haters; Mama Heaven still loves her husband even when fans and celebrities troll him on social media.

She went on to show how much she adores her husband by saying;

Why is the Kenyan gospel industry such a mess?

Although I’m not a staunch Christian, I must admit that sometimes I get bothered when I see some of the things that are going on in the Kenyan gospel industry.  I’m sure many of you who are reading this are perturbed s well.

Also read: Gengetone gospel should not become a thing!

In the past few months, a new genre of music that many people refer to as gospel gengetone has gained traction and to be honest, it is one of the things that really worries me.

Size 8

I knew things had gotten out of hand when Linet Munyali, alias Size 8, released a song with Masterpiece titled High Bila Ndom. For a woman who is a role model to hundreds of thousands, that was a new low.

The gospel industry is also riddled with many scandals. From Bahati’s dramatic fall outs with artists who are singed to his label to the sex scandal involving DK Kwenye Beat and Hopekid to the countless pregnancy scandals.

I don’t really know what happened but it seems somewhere along the way, gospel artists forgot that their main role is to spread God’s word. It like the fame and money got into their tiny heads.

Alice Kimanzi and Paul Clement treat us to Yuko Mungu
Alice Kimanzi

I wish that the gospel industry could be as it was in the early 2010s. Every secular artists wanted to become a gospel musician because they were good examples to others and the industry was very vibrant.

Outrageous scandals involving gospel musicians – something that has become the norm today – were almost unheard of back then and neither were did they have to pull stunts before releasing new music. It was just good vibes.

I think it is time for the players in the gospel industry re-evaluate themselves.They should go back and see where the rain started beating them before it’s too late.

And no, I did not say that all the gospel artists have lost their ways, the likes of; Mercy Masika, Alice Kimanzi, Pitson, Guardian Angel and Gloria Muliro still make good music and it’s my hope that they will be steadfast in the faith.

Boss baby! This is how baby Heaven refers to her daddy, Bahati

Baby Heaven is apparently her dad’s princess and the two seem inseparable even with Bahati’s busy schedule.

Anyway, now that everything has been left on stand still thanks to the coronavirus; singer a Bahati now has enough time on his hands to spend with his sons and daughter back at their home!

Baby Heaven

So far the Bahati’s not only share details of their relationship on social media but kind enough to share their kids milestones as seen on Diana Marua’s page.

Daddy’s girl

Well, thanks to a new video shared by Marua, we now understand that the young girl has been picking words from her mummy now that she is learning how to speak!

Among the words that have already stuck in baby Heaven’s mind is ‘babe.’ This could be because Diana often likes referring to her husband using this name!

And now baby Heaven has resulted to using it on her papa as heard on the video shared by Diana.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B-rsDs_ASr0/?igshid=19ybxv7jnc2sh

As hilarious as it sounds, many babies seem to have magnet brains while picking worlds; and this is why most parents are advertised to watch out on the conversations they have in front of their children

Majesty Bahati

Bahati’s 8 month old son on the other hand seems to be Heaven’s photocopy in terms of appearance and skin tone!

Clearly Diana Marua seems to have strong genes which played a major role in making her children.

Morgan on the other hand continues to have striking resemblance with Bahati; making fans wonder whether he is adopted or otherwise.

“I promise you the biggest wedding Kenya has ever seen!” Bahati tells Diana Marua

With Coronavirus sweeping people off the face of the earth left, right and center; there are so many things that have changed but not Bahati love for his wife Diana Marua.

Diana Marua

The two love birds have been entertaining their online fans for a while now and even with the petty and major scandals; fans can’t seem to stay away from this lovely couple.

Anyway, just recently Diana Marua went on to shower her hubby with a special message shared on her Instagram page. She thanked her man for all the happiness he brings to her life. Diana Marua went on to write saying;

Diana Marua with hubby and their son

I’ll never trade this happiness for anything. I am Blessed ???? After hii Rona @bahatikenya let’s explore this life with a big spoon. Thank you for creating beautiful memories in my heart. Always and Forever my reasons ❤❤❤”

Wedding bells!

With such a lovely and special message from his wife; Bahati also decided to up his game during his response!

Unlike other men who would shy off from publicly ‘romancing’ their wives on social media; Bahati used this opportunity to make couples out here jealous of his love with Diana Maria.

The Bahati’s

Well, as seen on his response to his baby mama cum wifey, Bahati promised Marua the biggest wedding ever witnessed in Kenya. He wrote;

 After this Corona I Promise you the Best| Biggest Wedding that +254 has ever Seen❤️…… Let’s Pray God all Comes Back to Normalcy ????❤️????

Bahati is a disgrace to the gospel fraternity

It’s hard to understand what Kevin Bahati has become these days. If you’ve been following his musical journey then I am sure you know that Mr Seed introduced him to the gospel industry then he went on to become a bigger artist.

Also read: Are Kenyan gospel musicians asleep?

There was a time when the 26-year-old singer made good music, the kind that you could listen to even when an elder person was in the room. However, I don’t know what became of him, I really don’t.

Bahati
Bahati

For many people, when Willy Paul started becoming unruly, being involved in scandals and releasing secular music, they saw Bahati as the better option since he was rooted in the gospel, had a family and made good music.

Lately, I’m not so sure. He has taken a whole 360 turn and he is now even worse than his nemesis Willy Paul who has since ditched the gospel industry.

If there is a scandal today, you’ll probably hear Bahati’s name in it. He is also known for exploiting artists at his EMB Record label then he was the first artist to release a Gospel Gengetone jam.

Sometimes you look at the happenings in the industry and you wonder what happened to this young man. Did he let the little fame that he has get into his head? I really don’t know what to make of his recent behavior.

I’ve always assumed that artists or pretty much anyone in the limelight have people who advice them the same would apply for Bahati since he has been in the industry for 10 or more years.

Bahati

Are they quiet as they see this young man throw his career away in the name of looking for relevance? Is it okay to do so? Because I don’t like sugar coating things I’ll tell you that he is a disgrace to the gospel fraternity.

There are people who have always seen him as a role model since he has always had a good reputation. What do they think of him now? Would they even want to associate with him?

There are things that are permissible when you are a secular artist but the fact Kevin Bahati has always identified as a gospel artists should actually mean something, otherwise he is just mocking God.

“She accused me of trying to sacrifice my small brother!” Bahati speaks about his step Mother

Controversial gospel artist Bahati recently had the opportunity of speaking about his step mum that we know nothing about.

Singer Bahati

Speaking during his reality TV show, Bahati revealed that he doesn’t share such a strong relationship with his step mother. This is because they have both had their issues here and there before the lady he called his mum crosses the boundaries!

According to Bahati, his step mum once accused him of being a devil worshipper and one who was trying to sacrifice his small brother.

Bahati´s Reality TV show receives backlash after programming changes are made

Mimi nilireach out kwa familia, mama Benja that was like 4 years ago nilikuwa naenda namchukua vile tu Mungu amenibariki Kenya ikaanza kunijua kidogo.

Wicked Step mum?

According to Bahati this is because back then he used to hire cars to travel to Yatta ; and every time he showed up with a different car. Seeing this his old lady started assuming that the overnight wealth was a result of devil worshipping!

Akikuja nampeleka juu sina pesa enough hadi anaona Uhuru Park, anaona town. Mimi sikuwa hata na gari nilikuwa nachukuanga car hire natoka hapa nadrive mpaka Yatta naenda namchukua na sasa juu uko na car hire kesho ukimuendea unaenda na gari tofauti.

Sacrificing Benja

The controversial singer went on to add that his small brother told the step mum about Bahati’s prayer routine; only for her to claim that he was worshiping the devil and wanted to sacrifice his small brother. Bahati added;

The Bahati’s

so the next thing nilipigiwa juu pia shida ingine nilikuwa nayo sijui kama ni shida ama ni nini; most of the time juu naimba mpaka late, mimi huamka kama 3AM kuomba. Sasa si unajua huyu mtoto ako excited anamuambia kuhusu Nairobi. Kurudi home vile aliambia mamake vile Bahati ako na gari nyingi; alafu anaombanga na nguvu saa tisa mamake akanipigia akaniambia mimi ni devil worshiper. mimi mwenyewe hata sijui devil ana worshippiwa pande gani.

Ikakuwa ati nataka kusacrifice brother yangu hapo ndio mimi nilicut communication,”

Gengetone gospel should not become a thing!

There is a new music genre called Gengetone gospel and as much as it slaps so hard, I just hope it does not become a thing because it just seems like a mockery of God. Actually, it is.

Also read: Gengetone is still alive, kind of

It all started when Bahati released a song dubbed Taniua with Boondocks Gang which is made up of Ex Ray, Maddox and Odi Wa Murang’a. They are the guys behind hits such as Mboko Haram, Rieng and Kidolee.

Boondocks Gang and Magix Enga on Rewind it
Boondocks Gang

Mr Seed followed suit with Kwa Hao alongside Vuva 34 GVNG, Breeder LW, Maddox, Dezian and Kartelo. I know it is only a matter of time before Willy Paul drops his.

Sooner or later upcoming artists will think its okay to release such songs because their role models and the bigwigs in the industry are doing so and it is then that things will get out of control.

Also read: Kenyan gospel artists must wake up

I don’t know about you but I think the fact that gospel musicians are tasked with spreading God’s word should mean something.

They should not mix the gospel with all these dirty songs. It is completely wrong. I did not say that I have a problem with Gengetone, I enjoy it probably more than you but just not when associated with God’s word.

Bahati

A few days ago, I was watched an interview where Bahati why he did a collabo with Boondocks Gang and he said that he is trying to win them over to Christ.

What a joke. Their song was motivated by the need to make money and grow their fan bases. As such, it;s very wrong for Bahati to claim that he is leading Boondocks Gang to Christ because they will continue to make raunchy music.

Even in the song where Bahati featured them, Boondocks Gang threw in some coded and dirty Sheng words and they made me wonder what motivated them to poke fun at God and shoot the video in a Church to rub it in his face.

“The only time I heard about him alikua amepiga boy Muti!” Bahati accuses DJ GMoney of being gay

Singer Bahati must be using something really strong or is finally showing Kenyans his true colors by being himself on social media.

Bahati´s Reality TV

Just a few hours ago the controversial gospel artist was seen hurling insults at popular Jamaican deejay G Money; and from the look of things Bahati did not seem bothered by what people will say.

Through his Twitter handle Bahati savagely hit back at the popular DJ and presenter at Homeboyz Radio; giving many to a reason to continue disliking him on social media.

DJ G Money

How it all started

This however comes just a few day’s after DJ G Money confessed to not knowing who Bahati was while responding to Shaffer Weru who had asked the DJ which of singer Bahati’s songs he would be playing that night, only for G Money to throw Shade as he replied,

GMoney’s Tweet

“Who is that?”

Bahati responds to DJ G Money tweet

Seeing how DJ G Money belittled him on social media, Bahati also decided to go down the same road. Baba Heaven went on to claim that the DJ had been given asylum in Kenya not forgetting to add that he also sleeps with fellow men (gay).

Bahati accuses DJ G Money of being gay

I have heard there’s an upcoming DJ who Kenya has given asylum for 29 years by the name #GMoney #GMONEYizME – Ambieni huyo chichiman the only time I heard about him alikua anapiga boy MUTI???? na ata hajawai support Kenyan music no wonder hajuii wasanii wa Kenya #boomboclat!

With such a response, Bahati is currently a trending topic on Twitter; and this might just be the attention he was hoping to get!
Exray

Unlike before, it now appears that Kenyans have grown tired of the fake gospel industry; and would prefer if most followed into Willy Paul’s footsteps by quitting their fake spiritual lives!

Anyway several fans have gone ahead to call out Bahati both on Instagram and Twitter for being insensitive! A few fans also used the opportunity to attack his family now that Bahati had shown them that he could also insult people on social media.

Below are a few replies to Bahati’s Tweet!

Fans react

Having been born in Jamaica, DJ G Money has managed to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry for years now. He has however been living in Kenya for almost 10 years now; and his love for reggae music has become the main reason many celebrate him in Kenya!

Diana Marua’s special message to baby Heaven as she celebrates 2nd birthday!

Nation FM’s radio presenter Cate Rira calls out Bahati for producing mediocre song!

Controversial gospel artist Bahati has lately been receiving some back lash from the same fans who couldn’t help but praise his music back then.

Boondocks shooting Taniua with Bahati

Ever since Peter Blessing came out to expose Bahati, things have definitely been okay for the Bahati’s; and from the look of things they might just be getting worse now thanks to the singer’s new song ‘Taniua.’

Cate Rira

Well, Bahati latest song featuring Boondocks has left many talking on Social
Media and one Cate Rira could not help but tell the singer off for producing mediocre music!

Stop encouraging mediocrity

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the lass went on to urge fans not to support such content when it makes no sense at all.

In her post, Cate Rira also went on to remind fans why Kenya’s music never gets to grow; since no one is serious about releasing songs with content that both the young and old can relate with! She went on to say;

Nation FM radio presenter

Bahati first of all this is some bunch of Nonsense kwangu, for lack of a better word and if you feel bad take it up with someone else. I’m gonna tell it out with so much passion. The reason as to why our Industry will never grow is because we allow Mediocrity. I don’t have a problem with Gengetone, it is good I love it and I dance to it, but when you don’t use effort to bring out or to even speak the real gospel now that’s some trash.

Ms Cate Rira went on to add;

https://www.instagram.com/tv/B8eUfcDhnUa/?igshid=1oz2ik9lr92so

Let me tell you where we presenters go wrong, just because the song is trending let’s put it on blast, other industry’s don’t allow mediocrity to be broadcasted every day. Where we go wrong is that we allow mediocrity to surface everywhere and presenters go wrong. I know Mambo Mseto will promote this, I know people like Jalas wataipromote. I know there are people who will promote it, shame on you for doing that, you know why, you are the reason why our industry won’t grow. If something is mediocre stop elevating it. I’m gonna call Bahati for an interview here to tell me why he is doing songs like this and things that are good to broadcast. Also producers why are you allowing mediocrity to be here, let’s not allow mediocrity, we want out industry to grow lest reduce the mediocrity.

Mr Seed explains how he can help Peter Blessing

Mr Seed is among the celebrities who have come out to address the issue between Bahati and Peter Blessing.

Speaking on a video shared on his Instagram story, Mr Seed revealed that he had never met Peter Blessing before; but if he was in a position to help him – then he would.

Peter Blessing

He went on to add that despite being tagged on Peter Blessing posts, the only way he would step in to help the young singer is by prayers and fasting. Mr Seed went on to say;

Eh naweza msaidia kwa prayers na maombi, yes man. Unajua kitufunny  ni sijawai meet huyu boy, mnashinda mkinitag tag lakini we don’t even know each other.

Bahati and Mr Seed

Judging from his video, it’s not evident whether he is ready to help Peter Blessing; but what’s for sure is that he does not want to involve himself in Bahati’s issues.

Mr Seed and Bahati
Mr Seed and Bahati

Seed and Bahati have not been seeing eye to eye for a year now following what happened on 2018’s new year party. Word has it that Bahati ordered the arrest of Mr Seed’s pregnant wife and her dad for apparently selling coffee at the gig.

“Snitches are people who go to the police” Khaligraph Jones message to Bahati

Khaligraph Jones has joined the many people addressing the Bahati and Peter Blessing court issue on social media.

Bahati

Speaking exclusively to Mpasho the rapper went on to share a few words of advise to Bahati telling him that he should learn to stop running to the police everytime he has disputes with his EMB employees.

Last time he was said to have ordered the arrest of a pregnant Nimo and her dad for selling coffee without his consent at a New Years gig back in 2018.

Stop oppressing Peter Blessing

Well, Bahati is back with the same story as he was recently exposed for getting Peter Blessing and producer Paolo arrested after they walked out of EMB.

However Khaligraph Jones as seen that their is no need of keeping quiet about this matter. In his interview Khaligraph Jones went on to open up saying;

Khaligraph Jones advise to Bahati’s snitching behavior

Snitches are people who go to the police. Artists going to the police haiwezi they should sit down and talk and solve their issues. That is also my advise to Bahati. He should sit Peter Blessing down and talk. Police stations should be a last resort.

Khaligraph Jones went on to add that Bahati was oppressing the young man knowing very well that he had no money to battle him in court.

Speaking from his jail experience, Khaligraph went on to add;

Bahati and Peter

I have been arrested before and i know that it is not a good thing, instead of going through the trouble of court let them talk. That guy is broke and has no money, so why oppress him?that is a joke.

“Loved by many, respected by all!” Bahati hits back at his haters

EMB’s CEO Bahati will not let any negativity get him down despite what is being said about him.

Peter Blessing and Bahati

The controversial singer has lately been making headlines for the wrong reasons. Word has it that he recently ordered the arrest of his former producer Paolo for allegedly stealing a table and sound proof materials from his studio.

Controversial gospel singer with former producer, Paolo

Bahati was also linked to the arrest of Peter Blessing for breaching his contract with EMB after allegedly walked out.

Bahati responds

Although Baba Heaven did not mention anyone in his post it is obvious that he was directing it to those trying to ‘ruin’ his reputation.

The singer captioned his post;

LOVED BY MANY, RESPECTED BY ALL l❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Baha vs fan

This however rubbed a few of his fans the wrong way as they went on to bash him for his pride now that he has money!

From the comments, it appears that his fans feel that he is becoming arrogant and is misusing the power he now has.

“Nikikufa leo mtatoa wapi story?” Bahati angrily responds after he is questioned for getting Peter Blessing arrested!

The gospel industry is no longer what it used to be! After Willy Paul decided to shift from gospel to secular; fans called him out and bashed him – but at least he is no longer trying to live a lie!

Bahati on the other hand continues to insist that his mission in the gospel industry is to spread the gospel and help the less fortunate; but controversial stories can’t stop following him everywhere he goes.

Peter Blessing and Bahati

He is currently to have gotten Peter Blessing arrested for allegedly breaching his 20 year contract to EMB. According to reports, Peter Blessing wanted out since he was not making enough at Bahati’s company, but seems like Baba Heaven had other plans.

Bahati tells off popular tabloid.

He might feel bad that I am out but only God knows my future – an agonizing Peter Blessing speaks

Word has it that Bahati had Peter Blessing arrested for 3 days before his release. When called by Mpasho to get his side of the story; Bahati seemed angered by blogs spreading his stories on social media.

He went on to bash the popular tabloid saying;

Nikikufa mtatoa wapi story? Leo Jehova aamue anitoe, utafanya kazi aje siutapoteza kazi? Mnafaa mbiandikie cheque because nawapeanga stories kila meals.

(WHERE WILL YOU [MPASHO] GET CONTENT IF I WAS TO DIE TODAY? IF GOD DECIDES TO TAKE ME AWAY YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR JOB. IT’S TIME YOU [MPASHO] WROTE ME A CHEQUE BECAUSE I’M YOUR SOURCE OF CONTENT YEAR IN YEAR OUT). IT SEEMS MY STORIES HELP YOU PUT FOOD ON YOUR TABLE, THEN CONTINUE DOING THEM. HAVE A BLESSED DAY)

This is not the first time Bahati is using the police to handle his problems!

On New Year’s Eve 2018, Baha is said to have used cops to throw out Mr Seed’s pregnant wife and her dad for selling coffee at the all night event!

Blessings on Blessings! Bahati lands another major lucrative deal

Singer Bahati has been landing amazing deals for the past few months. He was first named as the brand Ambassador of a real estate company, Daykio Kenya before his big second deal.

From his social media posts we understand that he later bagged another deal with Zoe for men lotion; which was his second big deal.

Bahati’s deal with Zoe for men lotion

And now the singer is the proud ambassador for Indomie Kenya. The excited father of 4 rushed to share the news on his Instagram announcing the good news to his fans. He went to write saying;

New deal!

“GLORY TO GOD!!! #I JUST SIGNED AS THE OFFICIAL #INDOMIE_NOODLES BRAND AMBASSADOR ???????????? #YearOfTheLord #BrandAmbassador #NewDeal.”

Bahati’s career

There is no doubt that Bahati has dominated the entertainment industry especially with his gospel ministry.

Baba Heaven making big moves

He has overtaken the likes of Willy Paul by far despite being age mates and frenemies! Back in the day most people seemed to prefer Willy Paul because of his style only for his fans to later ditch him after quitting gospel music.

Well, Bahati on the other hand used this opportunity to do what he knows best and that is releasing new music and assuring his fans that he is still responsible.

Anyway his life story and success is one that will remain in the entertainment industry for a very long time as it continues to inspire the hopeless that there is still hope in life!

Kenyan gospel artists must wake up

A few months ago, I wrote an article where I stated that Kenyan gospel artists were deep in slumber reason being the industry is not as vibrant as it was 5 (or so) years ago.

Also read: Are Kenyan gospel musicians asleep?

Whichever way you look at it, the gospel industry seems to be lagging behind and that is something that is giving me sleepless nights because Kenya is a very religious country.

Mercy Masika
Mercy Masika

If you look at the biggest local songs this year, you’ll realize that most of them are risqué and I doubt there is a gospel singer who can say that he or she had a hit this year. Of course, Willy Paul does not count or does he?

I miss the days when the likes of Gloria Muliro (where did she disappear to btw?), Daddy Owen, Eunice Njeri, Mercy Masika, Marion Shakoo, Esther Wahome, M.O.G etc. would serve us with hit after hit.

Gospel concerts sold out in a matter of minutes and gospel award shows such as Groove Awards were really coveted. Those were the days when the gospel industry was at the top.

I don’t really know what happened but somewhere along the way, the rain started beating us so much so that almost everything has been dominated by secular artists. From radio and TV stations to awards shows.

M.O.G

To be honest, I don’t have a problem with secular artists. Afterall, they are also Kenyans and at the end of the day it’s a win for local music but at times I wonder what happened to gospel musicians? Did they get too comfortable?

Not that it’s a competition between the two camps but I’d prefer a situation where we have popular secular songs and popular gospel jams. All I am saying is that it’s high time Kenyan gospel musicians woke up from their deep sleep.

Bahati’s eldest son celebrates birthday in style! (Photos)

Morgan Bahati who is the eldest son of singer and reality tv star Bahati celebrated his birthday this past weekend and all we can say is that it was indeed lit!

Although his age remains a secret, we understand that he was adopted by the singer 7 years; and since then Bahati has been celebrating his birthday with Morgan’s on the same day.

Together with his wife and kids, Bahati went on to throw a special birthday party in honor of his son. He also shared a special message to Morgan where he wrote;

DEAR #MORGAN_BAHATI Let Me Start By Saying Happy Birthday Son. I Know You Wonder Why We Celebrate a birthday on the same Day but it’s A story I will Share Another Day! Just Know You Mean more than My Words on Social Media Can Explain. The first Time God Connected Us; Over 7 Years ago I knew He had a Purpose. Peter Blessings new blessing is all about prayer “Mpaji”

The Taita born artist Peter Blessing  has graced the gospel arena once again with his latest hit ‘Mpaji’. This song comes barely a month after his single ‘Nasubiri Bado’ under EMB Records.

The song seems well received by fans based on the comments its already receiving besides the rising views on you tube .

The soft spoken artist, who on several occasions, has had his voice likened to that of Rayvanny from Tanzania.

There is a touch of bongo in his music and many may mistake him for a Tanzanian artist: an aspect that most of his fans have appreciated.

The video

The video is simple and blends well with the pace of the song. Well we hope this stays for the longest time.

The non-dramatic video vixens gives the viewers an easy time to focus on the lyrics and the message in the song.

‘Kwenye milima na mabonde eeh
Wewe ndio mwelekezi wetu’

The fact that its simple without much pomp, the ‘gospel police’ can easily give it a pass without making a fuss

The lyrics

One easily gets the message in the song from the very first minute.

The singer Peter Blessing acknowledges the lord as the giver/provider. A message that easily relates to the life of the artist.

Having had  of humble beginning at the coastal area of Kenya;  resilience and hard work tha bore fruit once he stepped foot in Nairobi and eventually got to cross paths with Bahati, the EMB records CEO.

On the other hand, the chance of  meeting Bahati who has served as his role model without a doubt has been the doing of the Lord.

Judging by the progress seen in Peter Blessings musical journey so far; there is hope at the end of the tunnel. The gospel scene  clearly needs this kind of shine at the moment.

‘na wengi wakipita mtihani wanakusahau mwenyezi’
Lets hope this will not be the case with Peter Blessing.

Rating we’ll go for  7/10.Watch and tell us what you think.

Daddy’s look alike! New photo of Bahati’s son confirms the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

After unveiling his son’s face a few hours ago Bahati has gone ahead to share more photos of the little man – proving that his genes are quite strong.

It’s obvious that his kids are getting their skin tone from their mother Diana Marua but when it comes to looks, Bahati seems to have played the bigger role.

Heaven the now big sister of Majesty also shared a new photo of her handsome brother and went on to ‘caption’ saying;

Bro, you so cuuuuteeee @Majesty Bahati you are Treasured

Bahati on the other hand also shared a new photo introducing his son to his Instagram page.

Unlike the other photos we had seen from Diana and Majesty’s Instagram, we can confirm that little Majesty is his daddy’s photocopy!

Check out the photo below.

Frenemies?Bahati and Weezdom team up for new jam “Block” (video)

Well well,if you  thought they were done as a team then they just disapproved that notion. EMB records boss Bahati and Weezdom buried the hatchet and now team up to bring this new jam “Block”.

Bits of their story is that they had a fall out few years back  because of the rivalry between Bahati and Willy Paul. Then it was alleged that Bahati deleted all music  done by Weezdom after he appeared in Willy Paul and Alaine’s music video “I do”.

Bahati

By then Weezdom had been signed under Bahati’s label. Pettiness? If you think so then you need to see other details.

Block

Anyway, that aside.In these new jam the two bring in some exciting energy in this new jam dubbed “Block”.

Basically in these song the duo are trying to bring out one clear message.Block all negative energy that God doesn’t allow and instead focus on blessing bestowed on you.

That is the easiest way this song can be translated. Just that one line nothing else.

Lyrics

In my Opinion, this song was just done for the sake “Kiki”. I mean the lyrics in themselves are just all over. Forgive my insolence but this is just not well done.

Considering the two have been in the gospel industry long enough, Kenyans deserve more than this picki picki pong Zigi zigi zong kind of writing for gospel music.

Contemporary gospel musicians are really letting us down this  being an example.

For one I will give it Weezdom, his  verse was not badly down as he raps  about his thug life before he got saved. That gives it a point for this. Further he goes on to say that he regrets making rush decisions that almost drowned him.

He says, “Mi ni kaa kivuli vile God amenilock Ju devil akinisearch anapata nimemblock Kitambo nilikuwa na wasiwasi Nilitaka vitu zifanyike ka si kazi…….”

Weezdom

For Bahati’s role in the song, its more  playing the flower girl role. His lyrics are repetitive and rather boring to listen to.

If for anything the beat, color, dancers and costuming  is what saves this song.

Production

This is an EMB production.The son was directed by the talented video director Young Wallace the CEO of Convex Media. The editors did a good job too.

Bottomline they have served us beautiful song to dance but its essence is a no-brainer.

For rating I will give it 5/10.Tell us what you think.

“Sorry for the times I have made you cry!” Bahati pours out his heart to wife, Diana Marua

Gospel singer Bahati is one proud man after his wife Diana Marua welcomed his first son, Majesty a few days ago.

The excited singer recently shared a long post appreciating his wife for being a blessing in his life. Bahati went on to describe his wife as a queen and his number one person on earth.

He wrote saying;

Bahati’s post

Majesty

The couple has since been blessed with two kids, Heaven and Majesty and according to Diana Marua they will not be having any more kids in the near future.

A reflection of Bahati’s son

The couple also seems to be an inspiration to many youths who admire the type of relationship they share.

Bahati’s baby mama reveals whether or not the singer gives enough support for his daughter, Mueni

Yvette Obura who is widely known on social media as Bahati baby mama this past weekend had a few things to set straight about her relationship with the singer and their daughter.

As many now know, the two had their baby girl Mueni 3 years ago but decided to keep it a secret until about Bahati decided to come out clean about it.

Anyway due to the pressures of social media we can agree that keeping his daughter on the low came in handy especially by protecting her from online bullies.

Bahati and Mueni’s relationship

Bahati’s relationship with his first born however remains solid despite having split with Yvette and moved on with Diana Marua who is now his wife.

Bahati with Baby Mueni

Yvette went on to reveal that Bahati gives enough support for his daughter and she is grateful for that.

Yvette

About her relationship with the singer, Yvette made it clear that she was not romantically in love with her ex in a question and answer session on her Instagram page.

The gospel industry needs to find a new sound

The gospel industry used to be big three years ago (or so) but somewhere along the way, it was overtaken by the secular industry but have you ever wondered why? What happened? Where did the rain start beating them?

Also read: Are Kenyan gospel musicians asleep?

Well, I think I have a few pointers as to why. I feel that the gospel industry has remained stagnant for a very long time, save for Willy Paul, everyone sounds the same way they did when the gospel industry was at its peak. Don’t they though?

If there’s anything that I have learnt it’s that Kenyans get bored really fast. As such, artists have to find ways of making sure that whatever they are putting out is not monotonous. They need to switch up the sound every and then.

Bahati

You see, the reason why the secular industry is doing well at the moment is because there is a new sound. Some people might have concerns about it but the fact is that most people find it entertaining. The truth is also that Kenyans will get bored with it a few years down the line.

The gospel sound has remained the same since time immemorial. Once in a while you’ll see someone taking a different approach but when they realise that it’s not working, they quickly switch back to their old styles and this should not be the case.

In as much as gospel songs are all about praising God and winning back people to Christ, it doesn’t mean that they should not have a small element of entertainment. Gospel songs should not really be all about crying from the time the songs starts to the end.

It’s about time our local gospel artists realized that we need something different. I don’t even know what they should do, I only know that they should do something. Enough said!
