City businessman Benson Thuranira writes to DPP again seeking action against Bahati who he accuses of conning him

Benson Thuranira accused gospel singer Kevin Bahati of conning him sometimes in October 2017. The businessman claims Bahati has been using his influence with authority to obstruct justice.

Benson lent Bahati Kes 200,000 after he told him that he was going to use the money for business. The businessman says Bahati wanted to borrow 5 million from him but he could only manage to give him 200k.

He is certain that Bahati used the money he gave him for his wedding with Diana Marua. Benson revealed that the singer only started wedding preparations after he gave him the cash.

Writes to DPP again

Benson was forced to to write to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for the second time. This after he failed to get any recourse four months after reporting the matter at the Karuri police station.

The first letter from Benson’s lawyer was received by the DPP’s office on December 13th 2017 with regards to the case recorded in the Occurrence Book on October 28 at Karuri police station.

The second letter was received by the DPP’s office on February 5th 2017. In the letter, Benson’s lawyer asks DPP to act swiftly as his client feels neglected.

Benson and his lawyers also went to court to seek protection from the OCS of Karuri police station. According to court documents dated December 6, Benson sought protection against arrest because he believed the OCS might arrest him anytime thus curtailing his freedom.
