“Masterpice ni hypocrite” Boondocks Gang throws shade to Willy Paul and other gospel artists

Gospel singers have always been called fake and pretenders many times in Kenya.

Many have always believed that they lack the true test to become real Christians and are just in music for the money and fame.

Boondocks Gang, which is made up of Mr Mukuruweng, Xray (Utaniua) and Odi wa Murang’a (Mr ThoboThobo), has also joined this tune and released bashed gospel artists for being fake. They gave an example of Masterpiece saying he’s just after kiki and not praising God.

“Masterpiece, huyo msee munasema sijjui Masterpice ni hypocrite. Hawa wasee unaweza patana naye kwa club. Hawa wasee wako mtaani waukata mbaya sana. Wanakupima tuhapa hivi. Kazi ni kupimanisha tu watu,” the said.

Fame

They further added that artists like Willy Paul are true pretenders and don’t focus on anything other than just getting people’s attention.

“Mara juzi juzi Willy Paul ameimba Lamba Nyonyo hapa halafu akam kutuimbia ngoma ingine hapo utamskiza aje?,” he posted.

Boondocks Gang has teamed up with Quanchy on ‘Fimbo’ and we love it (Video)

Boondocks Gang – the group that became a household name in Kenya after releasing Rieng – is back with a new joint alongside an upcoming singer who is known as Quanchy.

The song dubbed Fimbo and I’m sure you know what it’s all about unless you are too young which makes me wonder why you are reading this article in the first place.

Anyway, the song opens up with Ex Ray and as you would easily expect, he really brought his A-game. His wordplay and rhymes were really on point. They will leave you scratching your head.

For instance, the part where he says, “Msupa ako tire amenyanya na cookie, kumba mshudhe arushe mkuki ashikwe na nyege atoke mkuki…”

Ladies and gentlemen if this is not greatness then I really don’t know what is. I really don’t.

Odi Wa Murang’a also came through on this jam. Apart from his rhymes, there’s just something about his voice that makes you want to listen to him over and over. Quanchy also did well.

To add to that, the beat was also dope. The hook sticks in your head the first time you listen to the song, “Fimbo hadi upate kidumbo*3.”

I would rate this song at 8/10 but that’s just me. Maybe you feel it deserves better. Listen to Fimbo below and tell us what you think.
