Popular rapper Chidi Benz arrested yet again in possession of illegal drugs

Tanzanian rapper Chidi Benz has been arrested in Dodoma in possession of illegal drugs. According to Commandeered in charge of the Dodoma Police Station Giless Muroto, Benz is being held in custody for questioning.

It’s not the first time however, the rapper is being arrested over drugs. In 2017, he was placed in a rehab to help him recover from drug addiction but was later, in the company of his four friends, arrested and put under police custody with experts running tests on the drugs to determine their type.

Tanzanian rapper Chidi Benz is back in police custody. This after he was arrested on 30th December 2017 for being in possession of drugs.

Having been arrested for the same crime before; the police say they found Heroine on him again. The rappers wife and two other male friends are also facing possible jail times as they were arrested together.

Speaking to the media; the police commissioner of Dodoma, SACP, Giless Muroto confirmed  that the will go unpunished for his crime. He said

 “Ni kweli Chidi Benz mnamo tarehe 30/12/2017, tulimkamata akiwa yeye na mke wake na vijana wawili. Tumemkamata akiwa na dawa za kulevya zidhaniwayo kuwa ni Heroine. Jalada lake lipo tayari kwa Mwanasheria wa wa serikali linafanyiwa uchunguzi na muda wowote watapelekwa mahakamani”
