Daddy Owen shares why boy child is frustrated and why lovers are breaking up left right center

Gospel singer Daddy Owen believes boy child is currently frustrated because he hasn’t been well prepared for women empowerment.

“The world is changing. People should understand that we are in a transition period where women are being empowered without preparing the men. As for me I am educated and I know some of this things we go through in marriages and relationships is a transition.” he said in an interview with Mpasho.

Killings

He added that teachings have now changed since what boys were taught while growing up is turning out to be the opposite.

“When I was growing up I knew how a man should be and how a man should behave because my dad and uncle taught me these things. All these things are hardly being practiced anymore. Personally, I sit down and discuss issues with my wife but that was unheard of back then. Whatever my dad said was final. The best thing is to sort every issues as it arises.” he said.

Owen added that he believes this is one of the reasons relationships are turning tragic and people are killing each other.

“The reason why people are killing each other is because of frustrations. You are like ‘how am I arguing with a woman?Haniskii aje?’ back then, women had no opinions.

“Women are changing and men are not changing because they were not prepared for this ‘revolution’. I am in marriage and the rate breakups among the friends we got married with at the same, is big.

“The solution to some of these problems is for us to prepare the boy child so that asiingie kwa marriage thinking he is the ‘boss’.” he added

Daddy Owen proves he’s not an ‘instagram dad’ and spends time with his kid: We take long drives to bond

A quick look at Instagram you’ll find younger men posting their sons and daughters almost everyday and sharing how special they are to them. Still, most of these kids’ mothers are out here calling out their men for not spending time with their children. Such men are usually refereed to as instagram fathers who only share photos but spend months before spending quality with their kids.

Gospel singer Daddy Owen, however, shed light that he doesn’t belong to this bashed category of  dads.

In an interview with Word Is, the singer said that he drops off his kid at school instead of paying for a bus.

“Fatherhood is okay. Every day I learn something new from the kids. You know being a parent helps one understand better the struggles our parents went through when we were young.Being a father also makes one understand things they could not understand before. I always drop my son to school every morning, despite the fact the school offers an option where one can pay for transport when paying school fees,” he said.

Bonding during weekends

Another thing that Daddy Owen, who welcomed his second born with wife Farida Wambui last year June, does to connect with his son is take long drives during the weekends.

“Technology has taken over. Instead of them spending all their time in the house playing video games, we take long drives. That’s one way for us to bond and know what’s going on in his life. It’s very important to me. On weekends we also take long drives alone.” he said.

Daddy Owen’s new song Donjo, what do you think? Crap or hit?

Daddy Owen has a new song out called “Donjo” that apparently not many have noticed yet. Of late, the  gospel singer has not being ruling the airwaves like he used to during his “Vanity” and “System ya Kapungala” days.

The singer, who’s wife Faridah Wambui will be heading to the maternity soon for a second delivery, worked with Magix Enga and True Video for the new song which is struggling badly online.

Hit or miss?

In two days, the song has not even clocked 2000 views leaving many with questions. Any way, here’s the song. What do you think? Is it a hit or should be sent straight to the trash?

Daddy Owen opens up on why he planned a baby shower for his wife

Singer Daddy Owen and his wife last weekend had a very lovely baby shower. Though the event was exclusively for friends and relatives, it made to the headlines.

I did it

What shocked many is that Daddy Owen himself planned the event and not his wife Farida Wambui.

“I planned the baby shower myself and invited her workmates and a few of my relatives. That has not happened before. It is always the other way round, but I chose to organize it myself because I wanted it to be private,” he said.

He went on:

The difference between my wife and I is that in I am in the limelight and she is not. I understand her so well because even me, who has been in the industry for over 15 years, there are things I find tough as a celebrity, so I found it necessary to keep it a secret,” he said in the interview with The Star newspaper
