Daddy Owen shares why boy child is frustrated and why lovers are breaking up left right center

Gospel singer Daddy Owen believes boy child is currently frustrated because he hasn’t been well prepared for women empowerment.

“The world is changing. People should understand that we are in a transition period where women are being empowered without preparing the men. As for me I am educated and I know some of this things we go through in marriages and relationships is a transition.” he said in an interview with Mpasho.

Killings

He added that teachings have now changed since what boys were taught while growing up is turning out to be the opposite.

“When I was growing up I knew how a man should be and how a man should behave because my dad and uncle taught me these things. All these things are hardly being practiced anymore. Personally, I sit down and discuss issues with my wife but that was unheard of back then. Whatever my dad said was final. The best thing is to sort every issues as it arises.” he said.

Owen added that he believes this is one of the reasons relationships are turning tragic and people are killing each other.

“The reason why people are killing each other is because of frustrations. You are like ‘how am I arguing with a woman?Haniskii aje?’ back then, women had no opinions.

“Women are changing and men are not changing because they were not prepared for this ‘revolution’. I am in marriage and the rate breakups among the friends we got married with at the same, is big.

“The solution to some of these problems is for us to prepare the boy child so that asiingie kwa marriage thinking he is the ‘boss’.” he added

I was a hardcore thug and a crowd tried killing me – Daddy Owen on why he has a bad eye

You might know him from his inspirational gospel songs but some know him for his past criminal life.

Singer Daddy Owen, before he picked up a microphone and decided to make lovely gospel music, was a hardcore criminal in Umoja Estate.

In an interview with Kiss FM, the singer shared why he has squinted eyes saying that it’s because of a beating he got from an angry audience he was trying to rob in his thieving days after High School.

“My friends and I had planned to steal in a matatu, but things did not turn out well as the people in that matatu beat me up. I came to Nairobi from shags, met different people here, and as a young person, I wanted to fit in the crew. I joined a gang that we used to call ‘Mbogi’, and our work was to rob from people. I don’t like this story but I want to inspire someone who will hear it. I became a thug for two to three years,” he said.

Killings

Police started killing members of the gang one by one but this didn’t shake Daddy Owen.

“Most of my friends were killed, others burned down to ashes but I still did it. You know it is only serious when it happens to you? There were no phones and so my friends realised that there were askaris in that car and left without my knowledge. Like we had planned, I started the mission of stealing from the back seats but I was caught and badly beaten. That is when my eye was pierced,” he said.

He realized that he needed to change his life or he’ll also be killed just like his friends.

“I realised I needed to change my life as well as behaviour. I had fought so hard to fit in the gang, but all of them did not come to visit me in hospital. The most supportive person was my brother Rufftone, who completely stood by me because my dad was away, working to keep the family going. He was the big brother and he really helped me. He mentored me and my music journey was inspired by him. Immediately after I was discharged from hospital, I got saved,” Owen said.

Daddy Owen’s new song Donjo, what do you think? Crap or hit?

Daddy Owen has a new song out called “Donjo” that apparently not many have noticed yet. Of late, the  gospel singer has not being ruling the airwaves like he used to during his “Vanity” and “System ya Kapungala” days.

The singer, who’s wife Faridah Wambui will be heading to the maternity soon for a second delivery, worked with Magix Enga and True Video for the new song which is struggling badly online.

Hit or miss?

In two days, the song has not even clocked 2000 views leaving many with questions. Any way, here’s the song. What do you think? Is it a hit or should be sent straight to the trash?

Daddy Owen this past weekend shared a never-before-seen photo from his wedding in honor of his first anniversary of being married to the love of his life, Farida. The couple were married April 2nd, 2016 at a low profiled wedding that only saw friends and family attend.

Judging from the message he wrote to celebrate his wife on their first wedding anniversary, there is no doubt that the gospel singer is pretty much still in love with his lady and no, he is not afraid of showing it either.
