Best friends! Jacque Maribe and Itumbi spotted together at invites only party(photos)

Jackie Maribe and Dennis Itumbi over the weekend attended an invite-only birthday party of one of their friends.

Maribe and Itumbi’s friendship has been a rather controversial topic given how the two have always insisted they are good friends.

Itumbi more than once has penned lovely poems for Maribe on social media especially during the time she was in Jail.

Poems

Jacky has never written anything for him publicly.

Anyway, the two were attending one of their friend’s party in a popular joint and where they shared a few photos. Itumbi, as usual, penned down a sweet poem for his friend which said:

Friendship is Martin Gitau

Happy Birthday my friend.

Our story from the days of hustle in Mukuru Slums to Mbotela and our little victories along the way is one written in both our hearts and soul.

We have had our challenges, but we have stood for each other when we had nothing and when we have something to share.

You family and mine have become friends because we are.

During our birthdays we celebrate our friendship.

Daamn, the journey of life, through its blessings and challenges, poetry and lyrics and through its demands has been easier because you have been right there.

Our trophy and medal moments, our cheer and sad moments – are the paragraphs of our great story of friendship.

As you celebrate your birthday, I wish you a full cup of life. I will be there with you, like you have been here with me.

I wish you a great year buddy!

Happy Birthday!

Jackie Maribe forced to resign at Citizen TV hours after police cell photos with Itumbi

Controversial journalist Jackie Maribe last week was forced to resign at Citizen TV according to sources.

The former news anchor handed in her resignation letter earlier on in the week citing personal reasons but birds are whispering to Ghafla that her recent visit to State House digital director Dennis Itumbi at Muthaiga Police Station is the reason why she had to quit.

Maribe was told by Citizen TV to either resign or be fired. Maribe has an ongoing court case after being released on bail by Justice Wakiaga but was ordered to not read the news until the case is concluded.

Controversies

Itumbi’s visit has now turned controversial and it seems Jackie’s employers didn’t want to be a part of the string of controversies that she has been attracting lately.

Baby on board? Dennis Itumbi hinting Jacque Maribe is pregnant with baby number 2?

Dennis Itumbi has left tongues wagging after revealing that Jacque Maribe is pregnant with her second child.

Unlike most celebrities who often hold private baby showers with close friends and family; Jacque Maribe and Dennis Itumbi were open to celebrate this special occasion with the public as it is set to go down at Cohoot’s pub from 6pm till late.

Through his Instagram page Dennis Itumbi went on to caption the photo saying;

All invited. @Cohoots pub pale Kindaruma road.

Dress code your favorite color

Baby Daddy?

Judging from the comments left by fans under the post shared by Itumbi, many can’t wait to know who the baby’s father is.

Well, this is because Jacque Maribe had been engaged to Jowie before their breakup after her fiancé was accused of murder – something that also saw her stay behind bars for a while.

However, others couldn’t help but congratulate Dennis Itumbi for the hard work he put in…and now the results are being seen!

We should ask Itumbi! Jackie Maribe deletes photos of Jowi from Instagram page

Citizen TV employee Jackie Maribe is slowing returning to her normal life after the jaw-dropping case in which she was accused of murdering Monica Kimani. Jackie and her fiance Joseph Irungu were accused of killing Monica in a bizarre case last year.

Well, a trip through her Instagram page which is no longer as active as it used to be, it seems Maribe has cleared all Jowi’s photos a sign that maybe she has moved on or just doesn’t want her relationship to be public anymore.

Jowie is currently detained at Kamiti Maximum Prison after the court denied him bail. Months after being released on bail, Maribe hadn’t deleted the photos of Jowi, including the time he proposed in a glamorous event.

Embracing

Last year in December during one of their court proceeding, the two seemed to have rekindled their love after Jowie was pictured embracing her tightly at Milimani Law Courts in their first such reconciliatory gesture since they were both charged with murder.

Jowi gave Jackie and her mum warm hugs that lasted almost a minute during their court appearance a thing that left cameramen scrambling for pictures.

Who are your friends and who are their friends? Abel Mutua shares how he ended working for president Uhuru

Popular Kenyan Actor and script writer Abel Mutua has revealed how he was included in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s first presidential campaign.

According to Mutua who had just resigned from Citizen TV, Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi approached him after he left the job.

Referral

Speaking in an interview on Radio Jambo, Mutua shared that during the 2012-2013 General election, he was handed the mandate of being the Brand Ambassador of Uwezo fund, set up to help youth across the country.

“So 2012 October, nikakutana na my friend Dennis Itumbi, akanishow naskia ulitoka Citizen, so hauko Jobo, so niko na beshte yangu anataka kuran for president. Ni kamuuliza Getau juu mimi najua mabeshet yake kadhaa. Akanishow Uhuru, I was surprised juu nikamshow unaweza ongea tu ivo casually juu ya Uhuru, Minister of Energy? Akaniambia anataka kuran for Presidencey ana amempick yeye kuwa kwa Campaign team yake, na kuna kitu inaitwa team Uhuru pale, Foundation Fulani tutaimia kuhelp wasee na pia kaa campaign tool. So nikasema twende sana. So after Uhuru ameingia, watu wakarudi kazi mimi huyo sina kazi. So itakibidii niambie kamwana (Uhuru) juu tulikuwa tuna meet once in a while, so ikabidii nijitetee na juu IEBC ilikuwa imeset aside 16 Billion in case of a run-off, but si watu wakapiga 51plus one , so ikawaa hiyo 16 Billion haina Kazi. Wakasema waunde Fund ya Vijana na kwa sababu sikuwa na Kazi , si mimi huyo nikapewa kuwa Ambassador. So Kazi yangu ilikuwa publicist” said Abel Mutua.

Itumbi to Kenyans after Jowi’s passionate hug: I’m okay with Maribe friend-zoning me

Kenyans believe Dennis Itumbi has been seriously friend-zoned by Citizen TV employee Jackie Maribe and will not win her despite all the letters and poems he’s been taking time to write.

Kenyans took social media to mock the State House Secretary of Digital Communication after Jospeh Irungu and Maribe “rekindled” their love and were photographed exchanging a long hug at Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday.

Okay with being friends

Jowi held her for exactly 10 seconds, a thing that has not been happening since the two were accused of murdering Monica Kimani. He also hugged Jacque’s mother, who was standing nearby, for close to a minute.

All this time, Itumbi has been getting only handshakes, which Kenyans believe is a sign he’s deep into the friend zone.

“The poems will continue. When the time comes for marriage, I will take the microphone during the reception and recite a poem. It shall be on FB Live.” said Itumbi on social media after Kenyans trolled him.

In another post, a fan wrote: “My prayer is that Jacque Maribe should someday give Dennis Itumbi a chance to love her properly. It has been a long time and the comrade seems to genuinely love her.”

Itumbi replied with “We are good friends for life. Mimi niko friend zone and I am happy there.”

Jacque Maribe’s sister Cate Maribe heavily pregnant(photo)

It has been one of the toughest years for the Maribes after Jackie was caught up in an ugly case following the death of Monica Kimani.

The Maribes, however, are about to end the year in a happy mood after Jacky’s sister Catherine, recently took to social media to announce the gender of her baby and..drum rolls please, it’s a girl.

Baby number 3

Catherine posted a photo on social media. She’s expecting her third baby while Jacky is a mother of one.

Catherine was first ushered into the lime light during Jacky’s case when she vehemently defended her sister against the murder charges.

She has always supported her sister during the case just like all other family members.

Itumbi celebrates with this lovely message after Jacque Maribe is released

Director of Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communications in the office of the President Dennis Itumbi has been giving Jacque Maribe all the support she needs during her on going case.

His prayers have resulted to mixed emotions from Kenyans as others begged him to also pray for Jowi and not just Maribe alone -that is if he was praying for justice.

Maribe has been released on a Sh1 million cash bail in the Monica Kimani murder case. She was granted an alternative of a Sh2 million bond or three sureties of a similar amount. Her fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, on the other hand, will remain in custody for the rest of the murder trial.

Prayer

Itumbi thanked God for answering his and other Kenyans prayers who were praying for Maribe to be released.

Asanteni kwa maombi. Whether prayers were Loud or silent, God has answered the prayers…God favour each of you… May Justice like many waters flow…” read Itumbi’s post.

Maribe will use her Citizen TV news platform to win Kenyans if released on bail – DPP

State counsel Catherine Mwaniki yesterday told court that Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe should be barred from presenting news because she might use the platform to sway Kenyan’s support regarding her on going murder case.

The prosecutor further argued that Maribe should not be given bail because she might still do the same when she’s out and mingles with the public.

“All we are saying is that being a media personality, there is a high possibility that while mingling with the members of the public, she is likely to take advantage to influence the witnesses,” the assistant DPP said.

Not yet

Though Jackie Maribe’s lawyers rejected the bid, Judge James Wakiaga said Maribe and her fiancé will remain in custody until Tuesday, October 30, the day the court will rule on their bail application.

Jacque Maribe to spend more time in jail after recent court ruling

Jacque Maribe will spend another 6 days at Langata Women Prison after Justice James Wakiaga ruled that the her bail ruling would be heard on Tuesday 30th October 2018.

Maribe and fiance Joseph Irungu made an appearance seeking for bail after being accused of the murder of Monica Kimani.

Justice Wakiaga ruled in the favour of the prosecution, quashing the affidavit.

Old School

On Wednesday, October 17, Justice Wakiaga also warned the media against engaging prejudicial reporting of the case, saying that he does not like being influenced before hearing a case.  “I’m an old school judge and I do not like it when I’m influenced before I hear a case…media should guard against what to put out,” he said.

Itumbi and Jackie Maribe

Itumbi’s letter to Zahari

Although the young boy cannot understand what Itumbi is talking about; he hopes that in future he will come to understand why his mum went through a hard time and what she did just to be close to her son.

Zahari

“This is a letter addressed to you in future,

I know one day the Internet will show you what has been said and written about Mum, Jacque Maribe.

As the search returns the results, may you also find this message.

Mum has friends, who stood by her because they know, she is the true definition of Love.

When she loved she gave her soul and heart as it should be. She loves with all she got. Pure and true.

As a friend, she was always available, even for smaller functions where friends do not have to turn up, she always showed up. Friendship is not an after-thought for her, it is a lifestyle.

That is why despite all the defense she has, she choose to say the only reason she wants Bail was because she wanted to be with you – Her love. – That is Mum for you.

To her friends Loyalty, to those she loves, wholesome sacrifice and endless affection.

Importantly, despite all that is written, we believe she is innocent.

By the time you read this in the future, she will be free, will have written a great book and all that negativity about her will have been replaced by the reality that Mum is a lovely human being.

We pray for Justice for all involved. It has been established by final verdicts in courts that Prosecutors and investigators are not always right.

We stretch a hand of friendship and sincere prayers to and for Mum.

She was not alone, through what Google may return as results, she lived well with people, in turn, her friends stood with her

I am not a perfect friend, but like all her friends, we all aim for perfection, just like her.

God strengthen Mum.”
