Otile Brown video director, Deska, savagely beaten by friend over Nairobi babe

Acclaimed music video director Destin Kaleba, popularly known as Deska Torres, has alleged that he was physically assaulted by a former family friend at his home in Kahawa West, Nairobi.

According to reports filed with the Kahawa West Police Station, the altercation between Deska and the accused, Jackson Kuria, turned violent, leading to severe injuries.

The dispute erupted when Kuria accused Deska of being romantically involved with his ex-partner, whom he shares a child with.

Deska shared his harrowing experience in a social media post, writing that Kuria kicked down the door to his house and launched an attack. He also accused Kuria of biting his nose and ear.

Deska was able to escape and seek help from neighbours. However, he later returned to his house to find his Mac Book Pro M2, Tecno Spark Go phone, and three hard disks smashed.

The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, as both parties have been known to be on amicable terms in the past.

The authorities are currently investigating the matter, and the local community is eagerly awaiting further developments.

This is not the first time that Deska has been involved in a life-threatening incident. Just last year, he was involved in a hit-and-run situation with an armed man who disguised himself as a DCI officer for 10 years.

Deska’s assault is a reminder of the dangers that people face in Kenya, even from those who are supposed to be their friends and family. It is also a reminder of the importance of speaking out against violence and abuse.

Spice Diana treats fans with new single ‘On You’ (Video)

Award-winning Ugandan songstress Hajara Diana Namukwaya, popularly known as Spice Diana, has released a new song and it’s getting a lot of love from her fans.

The jam titled On You has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it, or else we would not be reviewing it, would we? Okay, maybe we would but you get my point, don’t you?

From my understanding, this is a love ballad. Well, kind of. The songstress is obsessed with a certain guy so much so that she can’t wait to see him and put it on him. However you understand this is entirely up to you.

Spice Diana

On You is a beautiful composition. Maybe it’s just me but I totally love how Spice Diana switches from English to her native language and vice versa in her lyrics. Perhaps, it’s one of the reasons why this song is infectious.

The other reason, of course, is due to the fact that this lass has a beautiful voice. Actually, I do n0t think the adjective ‘beautiful’ can suffice when it comes to describing her voice. As such, we’ll just say that it’s glorious.

The beat and instrumentation on this jam was also perfect. Although it has been modernized a bit, I love the fact that it was inspired by the traditional Baganda sound.

The video, which was directed by Platnumz Pictures, was dope. Apart from the impeccable choreography, I also loved the overall quality and scene transitioning.

Arrow Bwoy didn’t come to play! Check out his new club banger dubbed ‘Ngeta’ (Video)

Kenyan singer Ali Yusuf, popularly known as Arrow Bwoy, has dropped a new single ahead of the release of his much-anticipated album in August.

Dubbed Ngeta, the new jam is a fusion of dancehall and Swahili RnB. The result is a blazing club banger that will make you hit the replay button at least a couple of times.

To be honest, I didn’t really feel the song when I first heard it but after listening to it a couple of times, I realized that it was a masterpiece and probably Arrow Bwoy’s best work yet.

Ngeta is a Sheng word that means ‘to be mugged’. In the song, the Digi Digi hit maker says you should press it (you know what) as if you are mugging him. Does it sound ridiculous? I thought so too.

As is the norm, Arrow Bwoy threw in some Luganda words and they really spiced up the song. You’ll also hear the word chinkororo, which means Kisii warriors, a lot so much so that you’ll be tempted to think it’s the title of the song.

Ngeta was produced by Victor Muisyo Mutungi, or Vicky Pon Dis if you like and he really came through on this track. The beat is very decent and it will get you in a good mood from the moment you hit the play button.

Apart from the beautiful video vixens, another thing that caught my attention was the use of colour and how it was well co-ordinated i.e. through their outfits and the umbrellas that were used as props.

But this doesn’t really come as a surprise since the video was directed by the one and only Deska Torres of Platnumz Pictures. Put simply, he did an incredible job.
