Diamond and Rayvanny’s new hit song ‘Mwanza’ banned from being played anywhere including nightclubs

Diamond Platnumz has once again clashed with Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) – an organization tasked with regulating entertainment events and review of entertainment content in Tanzania.

Rayvanny featured Diamond in a new song dubbed ‘Mwanza’ which was released on November 10th 2018. According to the two singers, the song celebrates the lakeside city of Mwanza which is the second biggest city in Tanzania after Dar.

Banned everywhere

On Monday November 12th 2018, Basata announced that ‘Mwanza’ had been banned from being played anywhere including the forthcoming Wasafi Festival.

Basata explains that the title ‘Mwanza’ was used to conceal the real message that the song is conveying, they condemned the two singers for using lewd language and promoting homosexuality in their new song.

“Tumesikitishwa sana na msanii mkubwa kama Diamond kushiriki kuimba wimbo usio na maadili kwa kuwa ni msanii mkubwa anayetazamwa kama kioo na jamii. Maneno yaliyotumika katika wimbo huo yanahamasisha ngono kinyume na maumbile na matusi mengine yanayobomoa maadili. Nimesikitishwa sana na maneno yaliyotumika, hivi wanavyoimba hivyo hawaoni kama ndugu zao wanaweza kusikiliza wimbo huo? Maana kutamka hadharani ni sawa na kuongea mbele ya mama yake au watoto wake,” said Basata executive secretary Godfrey Mngereza.

 

 

Alikiba thwarts efforts by Diamond to end their beef

Diamond Platnumz sought to end years of rivalry with Alikiba by inviting him to perform at the forthcoming Wasafi Festival set to be held in Kenya and Tanzania.

“Na kwa kudhihirisha kwamba hili ni Tamasha la Kwetu wote, Mpaka Kaka yangu @officialalikiba ningependa kumuona anashiriki katika @wasafifestival_. Lengo si kuonyesha nani mkubwa bali ni kuuleta Mziki wetu pamoja and huifanya dunia kuona kwamba , kumbe na sisi Tanzania tunaeza shikamana na kufanya vitu vikubwa,” wrote Diamond Platnumz.

Wasafi festival is set to kick off on November 24, 2018 in Mtwara, Tanzania. The show will then end in Mombasa and Nairobi on December 26 and 31st respectively.

Mockery

Alikiba took to social media to make a joke out of Diamond’s invitation for him to perform at Wasafi Festival. The ‘Seduce Me’ singer shared a meme of Mr. Bean with a message written ‘Thank you for listening to my presentation’. He further captioned the meme ‘Thank you’.

Alikiba is seen to be sending a coded message to Diamond, telling him that he didn’t ask for the invitation to perform at the forthcoming Wasafi Festival.

 

 

 

“2018 has been a bad year for me” Diamond recounts how his mother’s sickness brought him to tears

Bongo heartthrob Diamond Platnumz has been wearing a brave face in public but behind the scene he has been struggling to contain his tears.

The ‘Jibebe’ hit maker was terrified by his mother’s sickness, apparently Sanura Sandra had been sick for a while in the beginning of the year even though the public didn’t get wind of it.

Diamond opened up about his mother’s sickness during an interview with a Tanzanian radio station where he narrated how he was deeply affected.

The father of three says he hit rock bottom and was confused when his mother got seriously sick. He reveals that he used to cry everyday for the time his mom was unwell.

“I’ve stayed with my mother for long and never seen my mum in pain. When the year started, I used to cry everyday, I was really confused. I learnt that in life there is health and sickness. Right now, my mum is okay. I’ve learnt that today, you might be on stage performing and tomorrow you are sick,” said Diamond.

Sanura Sandra disapproved her son’s relationship with Hamisa Mobetto. Diamond’s mother even roughed up Mobetto when she found her at her Madale home on May 14th 2018.

“Hayo mambo ya mzazi mwenzie ni huko, pale Madale ni kwangu na simtaki nyumbani kwangu kabisa. Alipokuja kiwizi usiku ule na kulala nyumbani kwangu, alipaswa kuondoka kabla sijamuona kwa nini alisubiri mimi nimkute maana siku hiyo asubuhi yake nilitoka na nilivyorudi ndipo nikamkuta. Mimi nilimsubiri tu getini na nilishajiapiza lazima nimpige,” said Sanura after she chased away Mobetto.

Sanura has since softened her stance on who her son should marry. Speaking during an interview with Risasi Vibes, Diamond’s mother said that her son is free to marry whoever he wishes.

“Unajua siwezi kumchagulia Diamond mwanamke wa kuoa bali yeye mwenyewe ndiye atakayechagua maana hata kama watu wanavyosema amuoe Zari  wakati wanakutana na kuanzisha uhusiano wao mpaka wakapata watoto mimi sikuwepo hivyo mambo ya kuoa ni uamuzi wa mtu mwenyewe,” said Sanura.

Diamond Platnumz broke up with Hamisa Mobetto sometimes in August 2018 after he accused her of using witchcraft to lure him into marriage.

Almost three months have passed since the breakup, Hamisa claims her life has been better ever since her baby daddy walked out of her life.

The mother of three now says that her life was jinxed while she was still dating Diamond. Speaking during an interview with Global Publishers, Hamisa sensationally stated that Diamond brought bad luck to her life.

Hamisa explains that ever since Diamond and her broke up she has been landing more lucrative deals. She recently traveled to America to host a club event.

Diamond Platnumz quietly laid off his bodyguard of five years Mwarabu Fighter in February 2018. It was not until June 2018 that the world knew Mwarabu had been fired without even him knowing.

In an interview with Ijumaa Wikienda in June, Mwarabu Fighter revealed that Wasafi management told him to relax at home until he hears from them.

Diamond hired a new personal bodyguard who is even bigger in size compared to Mwarabu Fighter. The new bodyguard was seen accompanying the singer as he was traveling abroad.

New hustle

Mwarabu Fighter started his own security firm ‘SM Guards Com Ltd’ months after he was laid off. His company provides service to anyone, even for a short duration.

Of late, Fighter has been seen guarding Irene Uwoya – Diamond Platnumz’s ex girlfriend. He opened up about being hired by Uwoya during an interview with Wasafi TV.

Hawa successfully underwent surgery at an Indian hospital on Wednesday October 24th. The Bongo singer traveled to India in company of Babu Tale after Diamond Platnumz pledged Tsh50 million (Sh2.2 million) to her treatment.

For starters, Diamond featured Hawa in a 2011 hit song ‘Nitarejea’, they starred as man and wife in the music video. Hawa never released another song after the collabo with Diamond.

Diamond rushed to Hawa’s rescue after he was informed that she was sick and in desperate need of treatment, she was so broke she couldn’t afford the treatment.

Surgery

Doctors in India discovered Hawa was suffering from a heart condition contrary to earlier report that it was her liver that had issue. Many people believed she was suffering from a liver condition due to her heavy drinking.

Diamond Platnumz announced his generous contribution to Hawa after he was accused of neglecting ailing singer whom she collaborated with years ago.

Diamond featured Hawa in a 2011 hit song ‘Nitarejea’, they starred as man and wife in the music video. Hawa never released another song after the collabo with Diamond.

She took to heavy drinking out of frustration of failing as a musician. Hawa’s healthy subsequently deteriorated and many believed she was suffering from a liver condition due to heavy drinking.

Diamond pledged Tsh50 million (Sh2.2 million) to have Hawa flown to India for specialized treatment for a liver ailment.

It turns out that Hawa is now suffering from a heart condition, her liver is just fine after all. Diamond’s manager, Babu Tale who traveled with Hawa to India, has given an update on her condition.

In a post on social media, Babu Tale revealed that doctors in India are now planning to operate on Hawa’s heart to fix the condition.

Diamond Platnumz’s stepfather Maisala Shante popularly known as Rally Jones is accused of cheating on his wife Sanura Sandra with a married woman.

Tanzanian newspaper Risasi reports that Shante has been exchanging love messages with a married woman. The daily contacted the woman who claimed that she lost her phone, she said that someone else could have been using her phone to send out messages.

“Nimekuambia simu yangu ilipotea, unachoniambia mimi sikikumbuki kabisa kama niliwahi kuchati na huyo mwanaume chochote, lakini pia kama nitakuwa nimechati naye kuna ubaya gani, si mwanaume kama wanaume wengine,” said the woman.

I don’t chat with women

Maisala Shante denied chatting with the married woman when he was contacted for comment. He claims that he doesn’t even send women text messages.

“Nakuheshimu kama mwandishi kukujibu swali hili, mimi sijawahi kuchati na wanawake ovyo, kama una namba ya huyo mwanamke nitumie ndio nitakujibu,” said Maisala Shante.

Shante got married to Diamond’s mother last year, the two lovebirds only made their marriage public in December 2017. There were also claims that Shante was still a married man when Sanura married him.

Miriam says that she knows her daughter all too well and that she is sure she will never get back with Diamond since now they only have a platonic relationship.

Hamisa Mobetto has decided to fire back at Diamond for claiming she used witchcraft on him. The mother of two sarcastically commented on her fan’s post saying that she not only bewitched Diamond but she is also a witch-doctor.

Hamisa said that women need to be witch-doctors to have their relationships under control.

 

Zari compels Diamond to travel to South Africa regularly to be with his kids

When Zari Hassan announced the end of her relationship with Diamond Platnumz in February 2018, she insisted that he will co-parent with her.

“Understand that this is very difficult for me to do. There have been multiple rumors some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond, as my RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIGNITY & WELL BEING cannot be compromised.
We are separating as partners but not as parents. This doesn’t reduce me as a self-made individual, and as a caring mother, and the boss lady you have all come to know. I will continue to build as a mogul, i will inspire the world of women to become boss ladies too,” wrote Zari in part.

Zari has now compelled Diamond to be a responsible father to their two children Tiffah and Nillan. Tanzanian daily Ijumaa Wikienda reports that Diamond has been forced to travel to South Africa on a monthly basis for fear of losing custody of his children.

The mother of five is said to have hired a lawyer and who was aiding her to seek full custody on grounds that Diamond was continually absent in his kids’ lives.

“Unaambia siri ya Diamond kwenda Sauz (Afrika Kusini) kila mwezi ni baada ya kuwekewa mwanasheria huyo ambaye anamfuatilia kwa karibu ili kuhakikisha haendi kinyume na matakwa ya sheria. Diamond however dismissed claims Zari was seeking full custody, the ‘Jibebe’ hit maker explains that he has decided to travel to South Africa regularly to be with his kids on his own free will.

“Waswahili nimewazoea sana tu, wasiponiongelea na Zari hawaoni sawa, mimi huwa nakuja huku kwa ajili ya kuwaona watoto wangu, natimiza majukumu kama baba, hayo mengine nawaachia wao,” said Diamond.

This has been proven in a new video shared by the singer as he tries to promote a new song dubbed Nitake Nini by WCB’s LavaLava.

Diamond Platnumz is seen singing along to the song – but what caught many people’s attention are the lyrics in the first verse; which are apparently aimed at Hamisa Mobetto.

Apparently this is after Mama Dangote came across some audios of Hamisa Mobetto asking a witch doctor to make it easy for her to get married to Diamond Platnumz.

President John Pombe Magufuli is really messing up East Africa, apart from starting trade wars with Kenya he is also messing with youth in Tanzania.

Diamond Platnumz campaigned for Magufuli and his Chama Cha Mapinduzi party in 2015, he even did a remix of Number One to praise CCM and Magufuli.

Since Magufuli came to power, Diamond has seen several of his songs get banned. And early this year CCM announced that they will no longer use Bongo artiste during campaigns as was the case in the past.

CCM Secretary General Bashiru Ally said that the ruling party will not have a budget for musicians in their 2020 general elections campaigns.

Diamond enjoyed good times during Jakaya Kikwete’s tenure as president, so did Kenya-Tanzania relationship. The ‘Jibebe’ hit maker complained to Kikwete about how CCM was messing youth in Tanzania on his birthday message to him.

Mzee Abdul is however optimistic that Diamond will invite him next year because he heard that his son will be giving back to the community every year he celebrates his birthday.

Diamond Platnumz is a funny person in a good way, instead of receiving gifts on his birthday he was the one who was dishing out gifts to people.

The ‘Katika’ hit maker decided to celebrate his birthday in Tadale, he donated 20 motorbikes to youth, he announced that he will offer health insurance to at least 300 children in Tandale and at least 200 women also got capital from Diamond to start their businesses.

Diamond also announced that he had bought a brand new car for his photographer Lukumba during his birthday celebration in Tandale.

“Lukamba anakaa Bunju, kuna kipindi alikabwa na kuchukuliwa hadi laptop sasa leo nampatia gari,” said Diamond.

Zari raised eyebrows when she sent Diamond a rude message on his 29th birthday. This despite the fact that the singer celebrated her on her 38th birthday which was just a week from his own birthday.

Diamond Platnumz’s birthday celebration will be held in Tandale this coming Friday. The singer has decided to celebrate his birthday in Tandale where he was brought up.

For starters, Diamond turned 29 on Tuesday October 2nd. The singer has decided to celebrate his birthday with Tandale residents to show appreciation to his former hood.

Diamond will be spending millions of shillings on his birthday. The singer revealed plans to give goodies to Tandale residents during his birthday celebration.

Health insurance

Speaking during an interview with Wasafi TV, Diamond said that he will donate 20 motorbikes to youth in Tandale and that he will also renovate his former primary school.

Diamond also announced that he will offer health insurance to at least 300 children in Tandale. At least 200 women will also get capital from Diamond to start their businesses.
