Diamond Platnumz has several baby mamas and exes whom he treats like they don’t exist. I can’t blame him for taking that approach and save for Zari Hassan, the rest knew who they were getting involved with given his track record.

Hamisa Mobetto took him from Zari at a time when he had lost his patience with her and to be honest, Diamond Platnumz had moved on long before he was dumped through Instagram. But I digress.

Tanasha actually is the most culpable for the situation she finds herself in as a single mother because on top of being warned by everyone that this would happen, she had the benefit of watching to see how Zari and Hamisa had been treated. So she has no excuse.

Yet, when everything is said and done, if there is a lady who has held down Diamond Platnumz, it is his compatriot Hamisa Mobetto. She nary has a bad word to say about Diamond instead, uplifting him at every opportunity she gets. Nothing exemplifies this better than how Diamond Platnumz’exes handled Father’s Day.

None of them has a reason to celebrate the man who gave them their children. Diamond Platnumz, after all, isn’t exactly daddy material. He is largely an absentee father, chiefly due to the nature of his career but even now as the world deals with the Coronavirus quarantine, he couldn’t be arsed to visit the one child he has closest to him, Hamisa Mobetto’s son.
That is why for a man who lives his entire life out in public for the world to see, we have seen no photos or videos of him spending time with Dylan.

But given this truth, Hamisa Mobetto is the only one of Diamond’s former women who make an effort to celebrate the role he played at least in their getting children. Hamisa Mobetto took to her Instagram account to celebrate Dylan’s father. And this is actually a testament to Hamisa Mobetto’s pedigree. Zari Hassan too shared a post on her Instagram stories but that is so that it is transitory and will disappear after 24 hours.

She didn’t only celebrate Diamond Platnumz but also celebrated her other child’s father too. And this is proof of the fact that she understands that for the sake of her children, she needs to maintain a good relationship with her children’s fathers even if it means covering him in public and handling business privately.

Because make no mistake about it, Hamisa Mobetto handles business. She even took Diamond Platnumz to court for child support. She is clearly no pushover.

And that is why Diamond Platnumz should break his mould and actually treat Hamisa Mobetto well. She is the only woman who he gave seed who is actually trying to raise balanced children -because by now, we know that children with fathers in their lives perform better than those without.

Add to this the fact that even though he can be argued to be a man ill-fitted to be a father, Hamisa Mobetto is the only one of his former women who doesn’t run to the media with that ammo trying to tarnish his image for public sympathy and other unknown benefits.
So if Mondi has any sense in his coconut, this is the one woman he will honour above all else.

Hamisa Mobetto is said to be dating a Naija tycoon and it has caused quite the stir south of the Kenyan border. You see, ever since she and Diamond Platnumz decided to go their separate ways, she has had a string of useless relationships.

And the reason that is the adjective I have elected to use is that if a relationship doesn’t lead to anything serious, then it was useless. And Hamisa Mobetto has had more than her fair share.

At some point, she even pulled a Zari Hassan: She alleged she was engaged to be married and her fans celebrated her, waiting for her impending nuptials but she just went cold on the whole affair. According to Tanzanian tabloids, she was involved in an affair with a married man whom she was attempting to pressure into making an honest woman of her.

Whatever the case may be, she was completely convincing but she has since moved on and found herself in the arms of a Naija tycoon. And Tanzanians are going crazy because they recognize that this might just be the guy to make her move on from Diamond Platnumz. You see, he has been an everlasting stench on her psyche. He was the ultimate alpha in her life. He has the money, status and the bad boy appeal. But now, she might just have a Mr Moneybags and we all know how alpha Naija men are.

And if this relationship doesn’t fizzle out, we are going to be treated to quite the tabloid legend. can you imagine Hamisa Mobetto inviting Diamond Platnumz for their son’s birthday and him having to chill next to a man who is now both Hamisa and their son’s daddy? That would be quite the interesting blended family don’t you think? The child calling out for his daddy and both of them responding. Or worse still, Hamisa calling out for daddy to come and help her bring the cake to the living room and they both stand up…

Why Diamond hitting 1 billion views is a blessing for Kenyan artists

Diamond hit 1 billion YouTube streams and this was a huge deal for many reasons. For one, it is always assumed that Nigerian artists are the biggest in Africa and he has literally bucked the assumption.

Another reason why this is a huge deal is that no other east African artist is anywhere close to curbing his popularity as most are still some ways away from achieving such a monolithic milestone.

Another interesting reason why this is a huge deal is that it coincidentally, Zari decided to bury the hatchet with him right at this moment.

And an even more interesting take that appeals to me is the fact that Diamond’s win is proof Kenyan artists can aspire to greatness and actually get it. Ofcourse, this is assuming they have either as much or more talent than Diamond. And after this, we can then assume that they have the management team in place to help them navigate the business of entertainment just like Diamond was fortunate to have constructed around him.

WHY KENYANS ARE THE BACKBONE OF DIAMOND PLATNUMZ SUCCESS

And then comes the real secret weapon in Diamond’s arsenal: Kenyans.

You see, Diamond managed to land his 1 billion YouTube views courtesy of the support shown to him by Kenyans who for some reason decided to park their goodwill right at the Tanzanian’s feet.
And this is an opportunity for Kenyans.

WHY DIAMOND PLATNUMZ DIDN’T DEFEND TANASHA AGAINST MWIJAKU’S CLAIM

Now, picture if you will, for argument’s sake, an artist with Diamond’s talent as stated earlier. this guy also gets to team up with a management team that has financial muscle. They decide to invest in Kenya’s new version of Diamond, allowing him to work with awesome producers and sound engineers and make collaborations to introduce him (or her really) to new markets.

The Kenyan Diamond can have access to all the best Afropop artists from Nigeria, Ghana, Congo or wherever else. Then, our Diamond example gets the backing of Kenyans.

And this support allows him to garner YouTube views in the millions. Then from there, he can focus on growing his brand in Tanzania and Uganda. And from there, he can also begin to grow into Congo, Rwanda and West Africa.

And this Diamond character could already exist in the mould of Willy Paul, Otile Brown, Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Ethic, Ochungulo Family or whichever other talented act I haven’t mentioned. And the only missing link to their success is Kenyan support.

To bring everything full circle, Diamond hitting that 1 billion views mark is actually a blessing because now everyone has realized just how important Kenyan support is and Kenyan artists have just realized what the missing link to their success is.

Bahati’s latest Instagram pattern is his most pathetic

Bahati has taken on a new line of attracting attention: attacking Harmonize. The diminutive gospel singer has decided that he would focus his angst and aggression on Harmonize, even going as far as demanding he stop using his moniker of “Tembo” and instead leaving it for Bahati.

The bizarre turn of events came about seemingly unprovoked with Bahati weighing in in the fight between Diamond and Harmonize, effectively taking the opinion that Harmonize is the antagonist even though he is an outsider looking in and he doesn’t know the nitty-gritty of the facts.

But Bahati has never been one to let better judgement get in the way of a good publicity opportunity.

Bahati came out guns blazing and demanded that Harmonize stop being “ungrateful and greedy” and going on to say,

What is interesting is the dim view Kenyans have of the lad, because when many read his outrage, they immediately wrote it off as a publicity stunt for a new upcoming song. Kenyans do not take his statements to heart, instead seeing insidious motives for them.

And that brings us to why this stunt is utter ~~bullshit~~.

Bahati recently released a song. and him being “an artist of immense calibre” he would want to focus on promoting that song, you would think that all his effort would be put into ensuring he would get the most airplay and his songs get the most downloads and views on Youtube but instead, he is busy discussing Harmonize.

This in and of itself is an admission that he knows he isn’t a big artist. Bahati has swallowed his pride and accepted that he needs drama to get his name on headlines. And that is an issue because it has translated in seeing him engineer some nonsensical controversies around both himself and his family.

Harmonize is busy doing his thing then all of a sudden he realizes his name is being brought up by some artist he has never worked with… And that artist, Bahati, is more focused on addressing an old issue, his drama with Diamond Platnumz, rather than churning out music.

So Bahati has decided to be delving in nonsense that is 6 months dead to revive his career. And it gets so bizarre that he even has to address whether or not Diamond Platnumz paid him to take on Harmonize…

So the guy who was unable to run a record label because all his artists would accuse him of bad business practices is busy telling Tanzanians how to manage their affairs? Nope. Bahati seems to think talking about Diamond and Harmonize’s already dead beef is leaving a dent on the world.

Homie needs to take an entire cup of ~~Shut The F Up~~ and focus on what seems to be the dwindling of his musical career. This trend of his that sees him talk about none issues isn’t the way to revive his career and it merely makes us look at him as a has-been fighting to remain relevant.

And the argument that you should respect the man who discovered you simply because he discovered you is illogical. Business is business and we all have to do what is right for us. We do not know the details of the business falling out between the two. If you aren’t involved in the deal, maintain sharp and focus and on your own hustle Bahati.

What next for Tanasha Donna’s career after splitting with Diamond?

Tanasha Donna is facing a rather interesting question. A dilemma that will unfold soon enough and depends on her efforts and talents just as much as it depends on whomever Diamond Platnumz dates next.

You see, Tanasha donna’s fame is currently intricately woven in with Diamond Platnumz’ brand. She is yet to release a song on her own since her split and we are yet to see whether she has the star quality and the talent to make it on her own.

While she was in Kenya prior to the breakup, she was a radio presenter with middling fame and success. But once her relationship with Diamond Platnumz came to light, she shot to prominence almost overnight. Infact, it can be argued that Diamond dating her wasn’t worth a damn outside of the child they share. Tanasha, on the other hand, grew in stature and fame and she was able to record an entire EP free of charge as well as getting to put out music that introduced her to an audience she would otherwise have stood no chance of reaching.

Now, while Mondi is in her past, it is the recent past and any mention of her name conjures up his memory and given that he is a superstar, she can ride on his coattails. However, were he to announce a new relationship or were he to be linked with a woman longer than say two months, she will be consigned to the forgotten heap with the rest of her exes.
Or perhaps she will enjoy some level of success but it can’t foreseeable reach the same level she did while with Chibu Dee.

So what next? When she finally releases a new song, which artist could she possibly collabo with who sits on Diamond Platnumz’ profile? I mean, she could always try and work with a Nigerian artist but they ever so famously charge for collabos. or perhaps it will come down to her insisting Chibu Dangote works with her one last time?

Because even if she calls in a couple of favours and gets the song to play on radio with heavy rotation, her YouTube numbers will reflect that she is an industry plant.
But if Tanasha Donna can score that one hit, an earworm of a song, then maybe, just maybe, she can create a hit. And as unlikely an outcome, as this is, that could actually propel her to a level of success that sees her build a base in Tanzania and beyond.

Turns out Diamond Platnumz owes a lot Kenyans. According to a recently conducted Billboard piece, a large section of his fans and supporters are Kenyan.

I would argue that this means we are owed a free concert. After all, the fact that he came to Kenya to get his most recent baby momma only served him. It is a very interesting thing, however, as it shows that Kenyans have the power to make a star.

That means that once again, Kenyans have proven their hypocrisy and the fact that we love anything foreign whether it comes from West Africa, South Africa or even just south of our border. So what happens now you ask?

Well, given just how successful Diamond Platnumz is, perhaps Kenyans could make a star of our own. Perhaps we could galvanize behind our most talented and marketable stars and we can make them great.

Afterall, with the case of Diamond Platnumz, it is clear that for any star to make name for themselves, they need a home base with ready fans who will propel them far. That way, when they get accepted in new markets, they completely dominated. They can grow to superstardom.
Diamond Platnumz, for instance, is a success because Kenyans support him after he already has the home base behind him.

Imagine if you will, just how successful Sauti Sol would be if we galvanized behind them like we do Diamond. None of the hating, no making excuses, we all just support them with our views, our love and our money. The same way we blindly worship Mondi, we could get behind a Kenyan act.

That would be quite something to behold. But for now, we will continue to support Diamond Platnumz. And then we shall complain about the fact that these guys are winning. And how Kenya lacks real superstars.

Why Zari inviting Diamond Platnumz back into his children’s life is fantastic

Zari and Diamond Platnumz have had a storied history for such a shortlived couple. the two were the quintessential toxic couple. When things were good, they looked like they were on cloud nine. But when things started going south, the couple lived in and created hell for each other.

Diamond Platnumz created hell by not caring about Zari who went into a whirlwind of trying to humiliate him by publicly dumping him on Valentine’s day. It can be argued that Chibu D had gotten what he wanted but was too cowardly to execute. But Zari continued her campaign of emotional harassment, and blame. we were treated to accusations of infidelity aswell as allegations of his being a deadbeat dad.

The stories would change subtly from time to time to the point we found out Zari had moved into Diamond Platnumz’ home in South Africa. But make no mistake about it, Mondi too fed the fire, constantly taking digs at Zari by praising whichever woman had caught his fancy.

And this was all taking a toll on both Tiffah and Nilan, the former couple’s children.

And for years, the couple were at an impasse as Zari soon moved out of Diamond’s house and refused to allow Diamond Platnumz from seeing or talking to his children. The year 2020 however, has been a mixed bag for Diamond who cannot tour but has been granted access to his children.
That means that if he actually gets his act together, he will actually be a good influence on their lives.

And this is actually a scientific fact as children who grow without their father’s involvement have abandonment issues. And for their children, this could manifest in a rebellious tendency that is caused by resentment of father figures and authority figures.

Attachment issues which could lead to an affinity to resort to anger as a baseline emotion. Also, kids from households without fathers form unhealthy attachments to their partners much later in life. And this is something Diamond Platnumz should be cognizant of especially with regard to his daughter Tiffah.

I was researching for this opinion piece but I am not going to paraphrase what I found. Instead, allow me to share with you what I found which diamond Platnumz should really hope to guard against now that Zari has given him this opportunity to be involved in his children’s lives:

Why Diamond Platnumz didn’t defend Tanasha against Mwijaku’s claim

Diamond Platnumz was mute during the entire spell when Mwijaku was busy claiming that it was really he (the comedian) who had fathered Tanasha’s son. Let that sink in. A man who once claimed to love Tanasha Donna with all his being was not just slow to act but actually didn’t seem to give a damn.

That fact piqued my interest as we watched Tanasha shout herself blue in the face to defend Diamond Platnumz and their son who in effect was being called a bastard for nothing more than a punchline. I applause Tanasha Donna for not tolerating that nonsense as sometimes we have to dispel all doubts.

But what about Diamond Platnumz? Well, to be fair, he might have known something we didn’t which is why he was silent. Perhaps his silence is supreme confidence. He saw no need to involve himself in a fight with little more than a court jester.

Or perhaps Mondi was content to watch his former beau’s struggle to defend the child. Knowing him, he was probably just chilling somewhere enjoying the exchange and seeing Tanasha show pure hostility.

Or maybe, just maybe, Diamond Platnumz had no idea what to think so he was watching to see her reaction. Perhaps unbeknownst to us, he was busy sending a flurry of text messages that kept edging Tanasha Donna on as she was simply tired of having to assure diamond Platnumz that their son was indeed the fruit of his loins.

Or maybe, and here I think I have stumbled upon the real reason, but maybe Diamond Platnumz just didn’t care. he didn’t know what was happening and he didn’t care. Or perhaps he was aware and he just didn’t care. So he was unaware. And his handlers ensured he had no idea what was going on for fear of feeding his insecurities seeing as how he had to deal with the same emotional hell he had to deal with when the whispers were raging about Zari.

Whatever the case may be, Diamond was silent and as they say, silence too can be deafening.

Why Zari’s co-parenting style is emotionally abusive

Zari and Diamond Platnumz are co-parents. The two were involved in a romantic relationship for a couple of years resulting in the births of Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan. The relationship didn’t last long and after playing itself out in the public gallery, it soon imploded just as publicly. Zari shared a now-infamous black rose post on Valentine’s Day of 2018.

The post saw her pull the curtains on her romantic dalliance with the star who by all reports had already moved on from their love, their marital bed and their familial bond, preferring Hamisa Mobetto’s bed. Zari was saving face and given just how solipsistic her fanbase is, she managed to convince them that she was the one who initiated the break-up.

Zari then fled the house she lived in with Diamond and went to South Africa where she quickly got her children South African nationality and from there, she demanded Diamond be making the trip to South Africa to be seeing his children.
Diamond did initially do so, even allowing her to live in his house in South Africa but Mondi soon began to grumble about the cost and inconvenience of the matter, eventually requesting her to move back to Tanzania, a request Zari Hassan would hear none of.

WHY ZARI LAUGHING AT AND INSULTING SLAY QUEENS IS AN OWN GOAL

Mondi eventually got fed up and started talking to Zari through his lawyers. Probably someone in his camp advised him to protect himself. Zari, during her interview with Millard Ayo, cited this as something that caused her irritation so she began to also demand that his lawyers talk to her lawyers rather than to her directly. She then began to run the narrative that Diamond is a deadbeat dad -all the while she would be posting content from the house he had allowed her to live in for the sake of his children.

This doesn’t absolve Diamond from his personal failing sand capabilities. Rather, this is an article about how Zari’s idea of co-parenting is witchcraft. Why? Because rather than facilitate the interactions between Diamond and his children, she ran to air his dirty linen in public. And ever the egotistical man, Diamond recoiled from the sting of public scrutiny. Things reportedly got so bad that when he declared he would be paying for 500 Tanzanian families their rent during the Covid19 pandemic period, she jumped in to attack the Tanzanian crooner about abandoning his children.

And speaking to this assumption of poor co-parenting skills, Zari allowed Diamond and his family to talk to his children and they were all over the moon at being allowed so special a gift by the children’s mother.
Let that sink in.

Diamond Platnumz and Zari Hassan finally settle their differences!

The truth of how abusive that fact alone is very clear once you swallow your dislike of who Diamond Platnumz or rather Abdul Naseeb Jnr is as a man, as a father. You have to admit that if co-parenting is to work, both parents have to be willing to make it work. That would mean Zari has to meet Diamond halfway. You cannot run to South Africa and demand Diamond comes all the way from Tanzania to see his children for a weekend or even a week. You cannot visit Tanzania and refuse to bring your children along with you to spend time with their father or his family. What sort of co-parenting witchcraft is this?

And ultimately, Zari has to remember that for better or for worse, it was she who decided to have children and settle down with diamond even though all knew too well just what kind of man Diamond Platnumz is.

Why Tanasha Donna won’t be a practicing muslim for long

Tanasha Donna recently attracted the ire of many a Muslim who felt that the way she dressed up was inappropriate for a Muslim lady especially during the holy month of Ramadhan. I felt that this was an unfair comment because it failed to take into account that Islamic living doesn’t come naturally for her because she wasn’t raised Muslim.

But this situation sparked a thought in my mind about just how long Tanasha Donna will remain a practising Muslim -and I am willing to bet the house that it shan’t be for too long. It might last longer than her situation with Diamond Platnumz but I am not here to mock her about a situation we all saw coming her way.

It was Tanasha Donna’s play at cementing her relationship with Diamond whose mother was reported to be unhappy with the fact they didn’t share a religion with the family. This is actually a major issue for people who want to marry Muslims as the children could be considered illegitimate. Think of this as a newborn baby in the faith who is left orphaned and all alone in her world.

There is a saying an Islamic teacher explain to me a while back, and it was the concept of mantiq behind conversion in which he explained that one who was devout in their previous faith will transfer that devotion to Islam. So it goes that a person who was lackadaisical about their faith as Tanasha Donna was, will make uninspired Muslims too.
When the Islamic path becomes too difficult, they will stray. Or when things become boring, they will simply stop.

Diamond Platnumz has an issue that most men who are mummy’s boys can relate with -he might not be able to settle down with a woman while his mother still draws breath. And this is an issue that both parties are to blame for. Diamond Platnumz for never setting boundaries for his mother and family and Mama Dangote for not respecting her son’s independence and privacy.

Simply put, any woman diamond Platnumz decides to settle down with must not only successfully woo him but also Mama Diamond who is infamously known to be a right, royal cunt when she decides she doesn’t like a woman. One could actually be forgiven for drawing Oedipal conclusions really.

You see, Hamisa Mobetto was the one lass who so famously catalogued her maltreatment at the hands of Diamond Platnumz’ mother, Mama Dangote, Kendra Michaels, Sanura Michaels or whatever the hell she decides to go by on any given day. Hamisa Mobetto even famously put her ordeal in a song about dealing with them and the lack of protection from Diamond Platnumz who is too much of a coward to protect his unborn child from his mother’s savagery.

The same story reportedly played out with Tanasha Donna who was on top of the world while she and Sanura Michaels were on the same page. It was akin to having the sunshine on you but once Sanura had made up her mind that she didn’t want her son to marry a Kenyan, instead preferring a Tanzanian, Tanasha’s goose was cooked.

Meanwhile, this also gives Diamond Playtnumz permission to be a deadbeat father -his mother doesn’t hold him up to any standard when it comes to how he relates with the children he has sired with women she doesn’t approve of. And with the way Diamond has been conducting himself, not using protection, this trend will continue resulting in more neglected children.

The argument can be made that even the women who attempt to trap Mondi with a child are just as culpable for the situation as he is but the fact still remains that the overarching spectre of Sanura limits the growth of their relationship. So no marriage is on the cards as long as she is alive.

Picture if you will, that diamond meets the next woman and he wants to marry her as he did with Zari, Hamisa and Tanasha (proof of the fact is that he sings about his intent). It isn’t too hard to imagine that his mother wouldn’t approve of that union too and diamond is stuck with more bastards than Ol’ Dirty.

Which leave Diamond Platnumz with the only option he has the stomach to implementing: outliving his mother. And given his penchant for unprotected sex, this course of action isn’t entirely guaranteed.

Diamond Platnumz has had some of the most dramatic soap opera level drama regarding the paternity of his children. It is the veritable “Whodunnit” as East Africans try to sleuth out details on “who really sired his children”. When Zari had their son, Diamond’s first son, the rumour mill was riff with information about her ex-husband, the late Ivan Ssemwanga being his father.

Diamond Platnumz struggled with this information and ever so famously had a major meltdown on Instagram, accusing Zari of doing him dirty; never mind that he was cheating all along. That mistress of his, Hamisa Mobetto, ended up conceiving. Hamisa was mistreated by Diamond’s mother and sister and Diamond allowed it up to the point the child, his second son was born and the baby was a spitting image of him.

Then came Tanasha Donna. She is the most recent victim of feminine hubris; she believed she was the woman to tame and change Diamond Platnumz. We have all seen how that went and one of the issues she has had to contend with are questions regarding the paternity of their son.

That is of interest because for many people, the idea of a man as successful as Diamond, a superstar at the top of his craft, still falling victim to female troglodyte instincts is exciting. Simply put, “Yaani pia Diamond anaweza chezwa kama sisi wanaume wengine?!”

Enter Hamisa Mobetto. Diamond Platnumz has actually been rather involved in the life of his son by Hamisa Mobetto. That son, incidentally, looks like a lot like Diamond Platnumz… Coincidence?

And the allegation by Bwana Juma probably hit Tanasha’s nerve because when it was made, she even made a dig at his alleged sexuality with a thinly veiled jab.

Tanasha Donna is the most recent victim of the Diamond Platnumz curse. “What’s that?” I hear you ask? Well, she has become the latest woman to have been left high and dry after bearing his son. This, however, should come as no surprise seeing as everyone except Tanasha Donna could see this outcome from a mile away.

Before Tanasha, there was Zari, Hamisa Mobetto and a whole host of unnamed socialites from all over East Africa. But for some inexplicable reason, our Kenyan lass decided she was the one destined to change Diamond from a lothario and irresponsible player to a monogamous, happy family man.

And of all the people who had warned her of what the outcome would be, was one Zari. And just like Zari, Tanasha Donna has refused to move on from Diamond. The constant flapping of her gums about her ex shows she still hasn’t healed and probably will not heal so from here on out, her next relationships will be shortlived because, at the end of the day, her heart, mind and soul are still pining and longing for Abdul Naseeb Jnr’s father.

For a few weeks now many have been questioning as to whether Tanasha Donna is really pregnant. Well, we can now confidently say yes thanks to a video shared on Instagram by Mange Kimambi.

Ravvany surprised S2Kizzy with the car while he was on a live interview on Wasafi FM. According to Ravanny, he gifted the producer with the car because he noticed he was always having it difficult getting to work.

After Diamond confessed how Zari Hassan was cheating on him with singer Peter Okoye of P Square and a gym trainer, he has now come out to reveal that he has never been dumped by any of his lovers.

But unlike many others who only enjoy his songs, Ndoro also loved how he managed to do it all. The 24 year old speaker decided to capture it all this in his new book ‘Success secrets from Diamond Platnumz’.

The book is about how Diamond came from nothing to the artists he is and how he did it in just a decade.

With 110 pages, the book has 40 chapters, which explain in detail the artiste’s success secrets.

“It’s a motivational book that discusses the good things we can learn from Diamond Platnumz. Of course, there was some negative criticism. There was always the question, is Diamond really the right person? Why not talk about a musician from Kenya? Isn’t he an Illuminati?” Ngoro said.

Diamond Platnumz’s sister Queen Darleen was left in stitches after seeing his father, Mzee Juma, featured in a new song.

Mzee Juma teamed up with Tanzanian artists, Sungura Madini and Blod gaza for a new song dubbed “Umenikamata” which Darleen believes was just too funny.

Queen Darleen says when she saw it, she laughed so hard to a point she got a headache because what she was seeing was just too much to handle.

“When I saw it, I laughed for almost two hours. My boyfriend told me to just stop watching,” she said.

The family has asked the singer to first marry their daughter before thinking of starting a family with her. According to Global Publishers, Diamond, according to sources, has been heard saying he plans to get Tanasha pregnant before the end of 2019.

“As a family, we held talks and came to the conclusion Tanasha should not have a kid with Diamond. You have to realise Tanasha comes from a religious family. Her parents are staunch Christians and they do not like things that go against their morals,” the relative said.

Diamond and Tanasha were to get married this Valentine’s Day but quickly postponed the wedding to an unknown date. The family says that they are afraid Diamond might dump her.

“We have no problem with their relationship. What we do not want is Tanasha to be dumped after getting pregnant,” Tanasha’s kin said.

Singer Q-Boy tomented by regrets after ditching Diamond Platnumz’ Wasafi Records three years ago

Tanzanian singer Q-Boy has confessed that he’s regretting leaving Diamond Platnumz’ label Wasafi Records.

The singer, who left Wasafi without clearly explaining why, recently spoke about it with Dizzim saying that he deeply regrets leaving and doesn’t mind returning. Q-Boy also made it clear that it’s not about money but the kind of music they are making and it’s impact.

“Hata kama ningekuwa na pesa kama bakhresa bado ningerudi wcb kuomba msamaha.” he said.

He also apologized in the interview saying that he might have had a few disagreement with them that forced him to leave WCB long ago before they became a movement, but he’s sorry just in case he angered them. Q-Boy left Wasafi almost three years while Diamond was still assembling the team that has now grown into a music force.

Diamond Platnumz sends consoling message to Kenyans following Dusit D2 attack

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has sent his condolences after yesterday’s terror attack at Dusit D2 in 14 Riverside.

Diamond took to social media after the attack which has left several dead and dozens injured.

“Maombi yangu yapo kwenu KENYA…Poleni sana na Inshaallah Mwenyezi Mungu atawasimamia… ,” captioned a photo of Kenyan flag.

Timeline

The attack happened around 4pm when four suspected terrorists arrived at the hotel in a silver 5-seater hatchback and walked toward security officers at the hotel’s gate, where they throw an explosive at the security agents.

They then went a head to open fire shooting indiscriminately, killing and injuring dozens. At 4.30, Recce Squad managed to take over the building and neutralized the threat.

Diamond will still perform in Embu, Mombasa and Nairobi as planned- manager Babu Tale

Diamond Platnumz will still grace different arenas as planned despite his recent ban by Tanzania’s music regulatory body Basata after ignoring the body and performing “Mwanza” in Tanzanian.

Diamond and Rayvanny defied Basata’s ban and went on to perform ‘Mwanza’ during Wasafi festival at the lakeside city of Mwanza on Saturday December 15th which earned them another ban that prohibits them from performing anywhere.

In talks

According to his manager Babu Tale, Diamond’s scheduled shows in Kenya will still take place as planned and fans should not be worried. Tale said they are already in talks to ensure the ban was lifted.

Diamond is set to perform in Embu, Mombasa and Nairobi.

“That is our task. We will reach out to them and see how we can meet halfway. Meanwhile, we will handle the consequences when we get there,” said Babu Tale in an interview with Edaily.

Diamond had to pay a Ksh 400,000 fine after releasing the song as BASATA termed it explicit. Mwanza was also banned from being played on any TV and Radio stations in Tanzania or being performed in concerts.
