Presenter Mwakideu welcomes baby number 3 just weeks after losing mother(photo)

Popular Milele FM radio host Alex Mwakideu and his wife Dee Mbela have been blessed with a baby girl.

The two love birds welcomed their third born on Thursday, June 20, afternoon at an unidentified Nairobi hospital. Taking to social media, Mwakideu posted a photo of his newly-born baby which he captioned: “Hello baby Naya.”

“In case they ask… Tell them am here waiting for our new-born baby…” Mwakideu had posted in an earlier post indicating that he was expecting a baby very soon.

Dee and the presenter have been together for five years since their wedding. The baby also comes following a tough stretch for Mwakideu who lost his sister and mother in a span of 6 months.

His sister, Emmy passed on in January after battling with cancer. His mother died and was buried 19 days ago at Wundanyi in Taita Taveta County.

January has been a dark month to many people, Milele FM presenter Alex Mwakideu lost his sister Emmy Mwakideu who died on Friday January 11th.

The Milele presenter took to social media to mourn the death of his sister without revealing details of what caused her death.

“I just don’t have words to write. But still I am grateful to God for the time you were with us. I will miss you so much. Rest with the Angels my sister Emmy Mwakideu,” wrote Alex.

Cause of death

Apparently Emmy had been battling cancer for a long time, details from newspaper obituary indicate that the deceased was diagnosed with cancer in late 2017. She succumbed to the disease on January 11th 2019.

A memorial service of Alex Mwakideu’s sister was held last Saturday 19th January at the Nairobi Baptist Church on Ngong Road.
