Rekles seemingly reacts to stories claiming he exited Gengetone music group, Ethic

Singer Rekles has come out to share his side of the story moments after rumor had it that he was now done with Gengetone group, Ethic.

Rumor had it that Rekles is currently working as a solo artist; weeks after he dropped several projects featuring other artists as seen on social media. Also, judging from the fact that he seems to be working better as a solo artist, this has now left many claiming that he is now all independent.

But since where there is smoke…there always fire; we believe that the rumors may have some truth. This is judging from how Rekless has been moving in the entertainment industry! Speaking about this, the management went on to deny rumors claiming that Ethic’s is no longer together; but oh well let’s see how it plays out.

Rekles responds

Being the one in the middle of the ‘allegations’ Rekless also decided to share his side through his social media pages. A relaxed Rekles went on to write;

Ethic apologize for their new song after Ezekiel Mutua blasted them

Popular group Ethic has released a statement apologizing for their new song “Tarimbo” which has become a controversial topic.

KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua led Kenyans by claiming the song was too dirty and advocated rape.

In their statement, the group apologized saying that they did not intend to be disrespectful even though the lyrics were negatively interpreted.

“As Ethic Entertainment, we are truly remorseful for any dolor caused by the lyrics to our single, and for every single person that was triggered to a displeasing memory or emotion by it, receive our sincere apologies. Rest assured that no disrespect was intended” reads the Tweet.

Community

They added that they did not advocate for rape because they are part of the community which supports them.

“…As artists, we are sons to our mothers, brothers to our sisters, uncles to our nieces and friends to our female friends and fans, and it is not in any way our intention to publicize violence or rape against these highly revered individuals in our community.” they wrote.

 

Video: Kameno Goro stars in Ethic’s new song ‘Figa’, SWAT drops killer verse 

Ethic has done it again.

The group that has four members, Swat, Rekles, Zilla and Seska has released yet another banger called “Figa”. Figa has Kamene Goro as the video vixen and is the first song from the group since landing a deal from AI records.

The video was done by VJ One and features media personality Goro in the video dancing with the young kids who are taking over the music industry.

Speaking of their signing, Ethic’s manager, John Mbugua said, “We are thrilled to join AI Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, Africa, and look forward to making good music and putting Kenya on the global arena.

“It’s a great opportunity for us musically, as it gives us a leg-up in coming up with projects that will leverage our influence and appeal in crossing the borders with our music.”
