Gross! Saumu Mbuvi narrates ordeal of how attacker followed her to the toilet

Governor Mike Sonko´s daughter, Saumu Mbuvi and lover, Senator Anwar Loitiptip have recorded statements with the police after gruesome attack just Saturday.

Ms Mbuvi and the Lamu Senator are allegedly dating.

On Saturday night, like any ordinary evening, the duo spent the night out.

This time watching UEFA Champion´s League final at the Memphis Lounge close to USIU, along Thika Road.

Statement

While recording her statement at Kasarani police station, Saumu sadly recounts:

We stayed at the club up to 0240hours on the 2nd day of June 2019.

As we were moving out I went to answer to a call of nature

And I went to the toilet located at the entrance of the said lounge.

As I went inside the toilet, a man who was standing in front of the toilet followed me and grabbed me by the top.

He pulled the top tearing it.

I screamed for help and someone threw a stone inside.

The man who was brown and short moved out and entered into a room and locked himself in.

Soon after the screams, the Lamu Senator moves in to the location of the suspect, ordering him to show himself and explain what exactly that was all about.

However, the man comes out and apologizes.

Contrary, according to a detective speaking to ´Nation´, Senator Anwar actually attacked the suspect with taser gun.

And it is the attack that led to the confrontation that later took place at the parking lot.

The detective cites that investigations are still underway, trying to trace the taser gun.

At the parking lot, Saumu articulates that a 10-man gang attacked the Senator with crude weapons.

After the incident, we left heading to the car when a group of about nine in the company of the brown [man] came after us.

The men were all armed with clubs and started beating Anwar on the foot prompting him to fall down.

I covered his head and shielded him from the beatings when I was also hit on the right arm sustaining injuries.

It is after the attack that Saumu calls her cousin and stepsister, taking them to the Aga Khan University Hospital.

The Lamu Senator is currently admitted, nursing head injuries that include serious cuts.

At the moment, one suspect, apparently a bouncer at the club has been apprehended with the police chasing the other 9.

Swahili songbird, Sanaipei Tande´s melodious voice has been an emblem in the music industry since the hey days but her journey has not been golden.

At the tender age of 19, a young girl decides to pursue the path of music but gets it rough, speaking to 10 over 10´s Willis Raburu:

When I first started out in the industry at 19, there were things that were written about me that affected me so much.

And the media doesn´t realize that they´re affecting people´s lives with what they publish.

When you read about me when I was still 19 you´ll probably believe what you read.

The ¨Amina¨ hitmaker sadly realized how untruthful the media can get, unable to put to mind that what the media publishes is what the public believes.

Maybe it wasn´t true but you believe it because media wrote it to you.

So media has to understand that they have a responsibility to report the right things.

However, she learnt her lesson the hard way, having to develop some thick skin in order to do what she likes, and still live her life.

I had to develop a tough skin and said ´You know what, you write what you want.´

I told myself, if media won´t do it for me, then I have to do it for myself.

Sana decided to write her own story, her way.

For as long as those close to her heart knew the truth, the rest she gave a deaf ear to.

Then I have to learn how not to let things affect me if they´re not true.

The people who matter to me are the people who know the truth.

During the Interview, the 34-year old beauty spoke about recent body shamming trolls, leaving pieces of advice, for any victims present.

H_art the band suffers poor treatment at Choma na Ngoma event

Popular boy band H_art the band this past weekend found themselves at an awkward position thanks to the Choma na Ngoma event organizers.

Word making rounds on social media is that the well known boy band was forced to perform last during the much hyped second edition Choma na Ngoma festival at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

Apparently songstress Alicios started off the performance then was followed by Nandy and Willy Paul who swept many off their feet. Sauti Sol then came later to take H_art the Bands place since one of them had an early morning flight.

However one would expect that H_art the Band to perform next – but seems that the event organizers had someone else in mind.

Well, Nigeria’s Patoranking got to perform next which put H_art the band last. This is however not the first time the boy band is facing poor treatment at an event.

In 2017 during the BBQ Live headlined by Wizkid; H_art the band was mistreated by the organizers of the event after being hurriedly informed to step on the stage despite having had part of their team frozen at the enterance.

Monday night, Kenya´s Willy Paul and Tanzania´s Nandy among other artists were involved in a nasty road accident in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The group was headed for Nandy´s show ¨Nandy Festival¨ set to go down in Sumbawanga come Saturday.

According to Tanzania media sources, the 2 were travelling in a branded bus alongside other bongo artistes before the driver lost control.

K24´s ¨Alfajiri¨ show co-host, Serah Ndanu Teshna, calls it quits as she is set to venture into the film industry, taking up an acting role.

Singer Diamond Platnumz shocked many after unfollowing his daughter Tiffah and son Nillan  on Instagram. This was apparently after Zari Hassan went to call out the Tanzanian singer for neglecting his children.

The battle between the ex lovers however continues to heat up especially now that Zari moved out of the mansion Diamond Platnumz had gifted her.

It took me one year to get over it but even to date, I am still affected.

With my career, you have to be happy, especially when you are performing to people, so I used to fake a smile.

He discloses that he at one point, had suicidal thoughts.

I felt like there was something wrong, but the best thing was that I had a friend who would come to my house.

We would chat and slowly all the suicidal thoughts faded away and I got better.
