Comedian Henry Desagu is a talented man when it comes to cracking jokes! Apart from this, he is also a well educated man who studied economics at the Kenyatta University!

Speaking during a recent interview with a popular news outlet; the comedian for the first time opened up about his late dad revealing quite a number of things.

Desagu who started off his career by sharing his funny videos on Facebook said that his dad passed away a few years ago; but before this his old man happened to come across one of his videos which left him wondering whether his son had gone mad!

According to Desagu, his dad had to assume that he was on drugs since his appearances on the videos looked like those of man going insane.

My dad did not have an idea of what is YouTube or even Facebook. When he saw me, he sent my sister who was doing fashion and design to make some suits for me,

However with time Desagu managed to convince his dad about his career as a comedian.

He went on to add that by the time he had passed on; his dad already been familiar with the kind of job he was now venturing into. He went on to say;

Before my dad died, he had understood the industry that I was in after I explained it to him.”

The funnyman went on to conclude saying;

“I used to invite him to concerts so he could understand. Plus I started paying my school fees and reducing the financial burdens since I was now making money.”

After praising mama Tiffah for being the cleanest woman he had ever come across; Juma Lokole has decided to shade Zari in broad day light!

Speaking during a recent interview with one of Bongo’s new outlets, Juma Lokole went on to show his bitter side; while revealing the reasons as to why Diamond and Zari were never getting back together!

According to Lokole, despite Zari being the first woman to have Diamond Platnumz children; this did not mean that the mother of 5 had the right to get back with the singer now that he is a single man.

This comes about a week after Tanasha Donna walked out on Diamond Platnumz and after Zari learnt about the break up; Mama decided to shade Diamond Platnumz for being a typical womanizer.

However Juma Lokole happened to be following up with Zari’s posts on social media; which inspired him to hit back at mama Tiffah for allegedly being disrespectful towards Diamond Platnumz.

In his interview Mr Lokole urged Zari to move on with her life instead of concentrating with other people’s lives. He also mentioned that Zari should continue following up with filters which she likes to use as a weapon to conceal her old age.

As disrespect as Lokole sounded Zari did not engage him in an online war; but she proved to be a boss lady who was not ready to stoop to Lokole’s level!

Joyce Omondi has hit back with a new powerful hit titled This Is My God. The news anchor has it all when it comes to music.

First, you notice how strong her vocals are. I mean this is the kind of voice that will woe you. This Is My God is her first jam in 2020 and I can already tell the year will be good.

To add on, Joyce Omondi is among the few gospel singers who are taking the industry higher. This Is My God has a whole new video. Look at the dance moves and how jovial the singer is.

I doubt there is any other singer with this kind of energy. Joyce Omondi is a talent that needs to be releasing hits a lot.

This Is My God is a praise song acknowledging God

This Is My God is simply explained in simple Bible verses. “Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

In addition to the strong work, she is basically what has been keeping the gospel industry growing. She might not be releasing jams every now and then but you can attest she is great.

Although the song is being received slowly, This Is My God is just superb. Joyce Omondi needs to try a collaboration with Mercy Masika. I am sure the duo will bring the best.

Also, This Is My God is purely based on the word of God. What do I mean? This jam is so Biblical. Further, into the song, Joyce Omondi shows how mighty her voice is. She is just great in her vocals.

To add on, this song is relevant in relation to Christianity and anyone else who believes in the existence of God. It is open to all be it the old or the young.

Guardian Angel takes gospel higher with “Utashangaa”

Guardian Angel is back with a new tune dubbed Utashangaa. The gospel singer is very talented from his voice to writing.

Also, Utashangaa is a praise song that is meant to show how strong God is. First, he highlights the scenarios that God has rescued his people.

Actually, he asks people to count their blessings and see what God has done. Also, it is good to notice that this song sounds like a Swahili cover of the English song Count Your Blessings.

It is with no doubt the best hit of the month in the gospel world. Guardian Angel has continued to display creativity in his work.

Utashangaa is more of a thanksgiving song

To add on, there is a need to note that this song is very relevant in the Christianity world. It clearly shows how those who trust in the Lord get the best.

Further into the song, Guardian Angel talks of how Jesus Christ performed a miracle with only a few fish and two loaves of bread.

“Yesu ana mikate mitano na samaki wawili Na kuna watu elfu tano wake pia watoto Neno lasema alishukuru na vikaongezeka Watu wakala na vikabaki vinashangaa,” reads the lyrics.

In addition, Guardian Angel has applied repetition in Utashangaa. To start with, you realise that the chorus and the word Utashangaa are well repeated.

Also, this gives the song that unique feel and it draws one to the worship mood.

Further, into the lyrics, Guardian Angel keeps on asking those listening to the song to keep and respect blessings. In addition, this instance he simply calls on respect for God.

To add on, the audio is well done and it shows seriousness. To start with, you realise that there is no clashing of the beats and the audio.

However, there is so much that needs to be improved. For now, we will leave the little to pass considering he is a great guy.

Dazlah is back with a new banger title Wana Wivu. This is a hit that has been sponsored by Joho the Mombasa Governor.

To start with, Dazlah is very talented and this son is just proof of how good he is. Wana Wivu brings out the lyrical prowess in him.

Although Kenyans tend to focus more on Tanzanian music, they need to give Dazlah space. Wana Wivu talks of a love story that is facing a lot of objection.

Also, he has put a lot of emotions in this song. The emotions enable one to sink it the actual mood of the song.

To add on, the audio of Wana Wivu is just so good. The beats do not compete with the audio. Everything is well equalised giving the song a great feel.

Also, Dazlah delivers the song so well and clearly his voice is a masterpiece. In conclusion, this is a great song that was well thought of.

Otile Brown is back with a new tune dubbed Wine. The new song comes one week after the release of Aiyana a collaboration with Kenya’s finest, Sanaipei Tande.

To start with, in Wine, Otile Brown has slightly ditched his usual style of singing. I must say that in this one he has done a better job trying something new.

First, Wine is a dance video and for sure it looks like it. From the video, it tells it all. There is only one vixen doing her thing as Otile Brown sings in the background.

Also, from the lyrics, it is easy to understand what this song is all about.

There is a way and a tone in which Otile Brown delivers the stanza. First, you notice he has adopted bass to create uniqueness. I must admit that this one has worked.

Wine is all about a woman shaking her body and doing all the gymnastics involved in dancing. Also, Otile Brown repeats the chorus so much to emphasise on the title of the song.

Daktari is a Swahili word that simply means doctor. In this case, you need not assume that Ethic Entertainment is talking about a hospital set up. This is just the use of some words to create relevance and uniqueness in their work.

To start with, Rekles is the loudest and most conspicuous in Daktari as he delivers his chorus. C’mon, this dude is just talented and calm.

Ethic as a team are still taking the Gengetone anthem far as they have started taking into consideration their content. Although the production of the video is lit, it seems they have been unable to part away with the twerking.

Also, women seem to have clouded their musical judgement. Like, in this case, you realise that there are women everywhere.

Daktari is more of a club banger

But you people Ethic need to be tamed. Like how does one talking of having sex in such an open manner? In this case, one says that he is the Daktari anadunga inabaki ndani. I am just tired.

To add on, just like their fellas, Ethic Entertainment has fully failed as they see women as sexual beings. I really feel like someone needs to crack a whip on them.

Chris Kaiga rocks in new banger Chain Chain

Chris Kaiga has launched the month of February with a new tune dubbed Chain Chain. The gengetone artiste has treated his fans to one of his lit jam.

Just like fellow artistes in the Gengetone genre, Chris Kaiga has brought the vibe. Interestingly what is sweet about this new jam Chain Chain are the beats. Am sure the majority have fallen for the trap only to realise in the lyrics there is nothing.

What gives Chris Kaiga’s song a vibe is repetition because it makes it listenable is there is such a thing. Lol. Some of these kids though.

Chris Kaiga in Chain Chain is talking about a routine that he has adopted. In this jam, he describes specific events and how he gets to undertake them.

To start with, I will trash the Chain Chain song because he basically makes women appear like sexual beings. Am no feminist but it is time this mediocre stopped.

Without wasting a lot of time, let’s get what message is in the lyrics. It is clear that this young kid, Chris Kaiga, is talking about being high and calls it having fun in life.

“Wamlambez ka ulimi Nishakuwa champez na imewacha kuwa siri Ndio maana navaa machain na machingri Na siku hizi hata ukikam na sanse sishikiki,” reads part of the song.

When I listen to Chain Chain in the above verse, I fail to understand why a sane producer would sit down and watch a raw talent fail. There is nothing new about this and the other Wamlambez.

“Baadae niko rieng ya madrinks na mayeng But 9 niko tings naona nikibleki ten Sai siko right so itabidi nimeleft Ju pori venye ziko brathe ni ka zimeweza,” he adds.

Who on this ear thinks of this nonsense as a way to relax. But anyway this is not my battle. It is high time something was done.

In addition, it is good to give credit where it is due. The video production team did a nice job for creativity. Also, the audio is a tick for me.

Last but not least, Chris Kaiga gets a rating of 4/10 in Chain Chain.

Willy Paul bounces back with new tune, Banana

Willy Paul is back with a new tune dubbed Banana. This comes a few weeks after his latest release Controller. Banana is a fruit that is enjoyed by all globally.

First I must say that Willy Paul should have just delivered this jam in Swahili. I mean he is so perfect when it comes to that. In this case, it feels kinda off and I am still wondering why he opted for the queen’s language.

Also, it is good to give credit where it is due, in Banana, the Kenyan king has shown that he is talented be it in whatever way musically.

To add on, this work is his own from the writing and only sought a director from neighbouring Tanzania. It was directed by the one and only Ivan. Also, the audio was produced by Saldido International in conjunction with Silver Birds Record, Jamaica.

There is so much to grasp from the Banana video as there is a lot of creativity displayed. In addition, the singer went beyond his usual self to give his fans quality.

Banana is all about a man in love

Even as we continue to enjoy the good work, it is good we got to understand Willy Paul’s message in Banana.

“Your love gon make me die one day Willy Paul paul. Your love gon make me die one day,” read the first three lines.

In this first stanza, it already tells us that Pozee is all about love. One thing to note is that he has adopted the Jamaican style in his lyrics.

“The way you gave me love Inna mi rover Make me wanna speed you over The way you gave me love inna mi rover Make me wanna speed you over,” reads stanza two.

In this one, Willy Paul is talking about how the girl is driving him crazy. He says that the girl is making him feel like taking her over sexually.

Banana is a great song that places Willy Paul at the top of the music scene in Kenya. Last but not least, it gets a rating of 6/10.

Enock Bella was a former vocalist of the disbanded Yamoto Band that comprised of Mbosso, Aslay and one more. Kama Wewe is one project that shows the two are a great team and should focus more on working together.

Fist, we all Mapozi is a great talent in this industry. The song Kama Wewe is all about and one thing to note is that Enock Bella and his starring are good together.

Straight to the point, this is a song that talks about a girl. Mapozi in Kama Wewe brings out the girl in a pictorial way. To start with, listening to the words just prove how love is a sweet thing.

Kama Wewe has been produce under Mpaozi Gang Entertainment. Quite a good thing that the two are able to deliver such a powerful message.

Magix Enga is back with a super banger dubbed Yoyo. The singer cum producer has adopted a new style in his new jam. Known for his Gengetone style, he is now back with a more sensible style.

It is a sweet thing that Magix Enga has distanced himself slightly with the obvious mediocre. In this YoYo song, he has done it in English. It is for sure that this is one of the best tracks he has ever done.

To start with, the video is very lit and nothing like any of his other works. This is when we get to sayMagix Enga to the world.

At least he can now stand and compete with other artistes. As much as he is talking about love, YoYo is not an ordinary piece of work. This is new to many am so sure.

YoYo is a song that bears a very coded message

It is now time we get to understand the lyrics of the YoYo song. Being a producer and a write, he is with no doubt a great talent. I can only imagine how he crafted these sweet lyrics.

In this first stanza, Mafix Enga features this girl who has driving a guy closer. If this is not love, then I do not know what it is.

This stanza is disgusting as Magix Enga features this girl as a sexual being. He is talking of having sex so that the girl can prove his d*** is not small.

I am going to overlook everything else and focus on the Hawataki video. To start with, K2ga did a great thing in delivering this video. It shows the extent to which people go to make great music.

To add on, there is so much to gain from the video as it is in sync with the wordings in the song. Also, it delivers the message of love as expected. I am sure most of you will fall for this.

The vixens have delivered well and it is just a great tune. K2ga needs to be doing more of these lovey-dovey things.

All said ad done, it is time we get to feel and understand the message in this new hit Hawataki.

Also, K2ga talks to the girl and asks her not to blame herself as he is in love with her. He also asks her to believe that he loves her.

Hawataki is that tune that lovers should embrace and fight those objecting their love.

“Unaposikia mabaya yangu sema Kwamba nakucheat, sikupendi Nina wanawake wengi sana Mmmh ooh sana, oooh ooh,” K2ga adds in stanza 2.

Rayvanny is back with a new single that is all about love dubbed Vumilia. This is a Kiswahili word that asks one to be patient.

The Wasafi member is back with a loud bang and one thing that is for sure he is great. Rayvanny has great vocals and in addition to this, his lyrical prowess is unmatched.

To start with, the jam has been produced by one superman, Bob Manecky. It is a song filled with love. The way Rayvanny delivers Vumilia brings the solemn mood of the jam.

Actually, it is clear from the lyrics that the person has no material wealth. Also, he asks the lady to woman to exercise patience as he finds them something like a better life.

“Niwe kibatari Ama mwanga wa mshumaa Kwenye kigiza cha jioni Nikagonga ngangari Tulishushie na dagaa Ukishatoka sokoni,” reads the firts two stanzas.

To add on, in the next verse of Vumilia, Rayvanny narrates ow the girl goes to the market and has to walk back carrying the goodies.

Elani are back with a new song dubbed Joto. This jam is the fourth song of their single album, Colours of Love. To start with, the trio has released this song just on time.

Joto is a song that mostly talks of love and as we are nearing the Valentines season, you’ll realise that it is a perfect time.

To add on it continues the red phase of the journey of Colours of Love with deep, committed love.

At this juncture, it is a good thing that we focus on the lyrics to get the flow of this jam. You realise that the trio has great voices that compliment each other.

How sweet are the lyrics?

In the first stanza, they talk of how one is glued to a specific person.

“Wengi wamezaliwa duniani Nataka tu mi niwe nawe Nataka tu mi niwe nawe,” reads the first stanza.

Further into the Joto, one is pleading to be with the person they love in this world. She says that she has made a decision to stick to that love.

Harmonize should slow down, too many songs at once

Harmonize is for sure in a hurry to claim his space in the bongo industry. The Tanzanian singer has been releasing a song every week after parting ways with Diamond Platinumz.

In a span of two months, the singer has released a couple of songs that we even cannot remember where he started. First, it is a good thing that he wants to remain relevant but in the process, he is losing.

I do not even know what the hurry is for because no one is competing. It is a good thing that he is seeking relevance but the question is from who?

One thing that clearly stands out is that his management is just lazy. They really do not watch the market. Imagine having two songs in a week and you expect them to hit? It does not work like this. Give us time to feel one song. This way we even get to interact with your songs.

Lyrics are whack

While at Wasafi, Konde Boy was the master of the lyrics but that is no longer there. Could it be because he is in a hurry to compete with himself?

Is Harmonize fighting himself because I do not see any other artiste be it from Wasafi competing from him?

It is a good thing that he considers his fans as well as his main goal. When one releases a couple of songs together, only one will win. This is even dangerous for Harmonize because he needs to sell.

Back to the lyrics, a man who used to write some strong words no longer has that skill. It leaves one questioning if he wrote his work while at Wasafi or someone did it for him?

First, we might not understand his goal but one clear thing is that Harmonize needs to strategize. His first Uno is still struggling to get to 10 million views, Hujanikomoa his latest is not even close to 1 million views within a period of four days.

Piece of advice to the bongo master, Harmonize, go slow and you will make it to the top. No one cares what your competitors have but your name Harmonize has its space.

Why Bahati got his former producer arrested for the second time!

Bahati’s former producer Paolo found himself behind bars barely a month after his former boss had him arrested together with Peter Blessing!

Speaking to one popular news out let just recently, Paolo revealed that Bahati had him arrested in town where he had gone to pick an award.

According to Paolo, he received a call from an unknown person asking hi to pick an award he had scooped only for him to be arrested and taken back to central police station where he spent the night.

When asked why he was arrested, Paolo says Bahati accused him of theft. Apparently the producer was said to have stolen a table and sound proof materials from Bahati’s studio.

Bahati and Weezdom came to the station and said Producer was spoiling his name because they had agreed before that he was not supposed to say anything about what happened during the first arrest. So basically Bahati said he was taking him to jail.

Mr Paolo went on to add that he did not know why Bahati was taking him in circles; yet deep down inside he knew that Paolo had not stolen anything.

They are saying that he stole some table and sound proof from Bahati’s studio. The other side is that Bahati gave him these when he was upgrading his studio. So we don’t know why Bahati is taking him on rounds, but I perceive this to be intimidation.

Palio’s lawyer has gone ahead to add that they are waiting for Bahati to record a statement before they move the matter to court.

Willy is back with his first jam of the year, Controller. The Kenyan singer hits back at a time that was least expected. Controller which comes out as a professional song is more of a love song.

To start with, being his first work this year, the legend has given his fans a new feel in this great hit. As always, Willy Paul knows how to hit back as this jam is super lit.

First and foremost, we seek to understand what the song Controller is about. You’ll notice that unlike any of Willy Paul’s work, Controller has adopted a new style. What do I mean? That this jam is has brought on board nudity at some point.

Controller is more of a fun love song

Look at the costumes that have been worn by the beauty queens. Thye are partially naked but for one to sell, then I bet it is okay.

Also, let’s look at what the lyrics carry for us. First, are the lines easy to grasp? Yes, they are. They are short and easy to grasp.

In addition to that, the Controller song is about love. In this case, she acts as the Controller of a man’s life.

“Nichum unavyotaka Niguse unavyotaka, my beiby yeah Nipande unavyotaka Kaa unavyotaka, my beiby yeah,” reads the first stanza.

To add on, the singer says that the girl is fire. According to the third stanza, she is confusing the guy and cannot be able to let her off his mind.

Also, he also describes how the girl is confusing him with her dances. It seems the lady’s speed is very fast that Willy Paul asks her to slow down.

In addition to the good stanza arrangement, Willy Paul has adopted repetition in this great piece of work. The keyword, Controller, has been repeated in every stanza.

Also, it has also been used a lot in the chorus thus making it easy for one to relate with the song.

In conclusion, Willy Paul has done a great job as a result, Controller gets a rating of 7/10.

Mako-Stamina is Z Anto’s piece of work after a long break from the music scene. To start with, it seems 2020 we will be hearing more of him.

Actually, his last hit was in 2018 dubbed Mpaka Naogopa. His debut in 2020, Mako-Stamina has a great feel and the vibe he had back in the day is back.
