Singer Pascal Tokodi drops new gospel song, is he born again now?

Singer Pascal Tokodi has become the latest name to ditch the secular world and join the gospel industry.

Pascal has now released a new song dubbed “Ewe Mola”, a song giving thanks to the lord for His blessings and favours.  The singer, who also doubles up as an actor, said that his life has had so many ups and downs, he though working on a song to show this would be a perfect fit.

“It has been a life full of ups and downs but I thank God for all the blessings and lessons. He has come through for me in so many ways and I just wanted to thank Him.” he said.

It’s not clear if he has ditched the secular world completely or it’s just a single gospel hit he has released. The song was produced by Jack Jack on The Beat, recorded at Kaka Empire Studios while the video was directed by Johnson Kyalo for Empire Films.

Gospel singer Mwihaki opens up of the embarrassment she got after getting divorced

Singer Kaki Mwihaki  has opened up on the embarrassment she got after getting a divorce. The singer, who belongs to Adawnage band, shared that she faced depression after her parting ways with her hubby.

“Marriage is a beautiful institution created by God and ordained by Him for His glory. Sadly, only a few people get the technicalities of this institution right. Three years of marriage, a quiet five-month separation, followed by divorce, is not usually the blueprint in any girl’s plan. Yet, this is where I found myself and I made the decision to file for divorce, based on my understanding of my options,” she said.

Hiding for two years

After the divorce, it took almost two years to recover. She went into hiding as depression took the better part of her.

“The divorce literally silenced me. I felt I couldn’t come out and talk about it, the stigma and depression of it all shut me up.

“The church also almost requires you to remain silent about it because ‘love covers a multitude of sins’. I was silenced, silenced by shame, silenced by divorce. Marital counseling, Pastoral guidance, interventions from family and close friends amidst emotional turmoil was part of the journey I had to walk through,” she said.

She went on:

“Two years ago; I sunk into depression and battled my lowest moments ever! I came face to face with rock bottom and it was my dwelling place.

I had nothing to look forward to and being alive was nothing but pain. I prayed that he may take my life but morning after morning He kept me.”

“During the burial, the maternal grandfather said he would ensure the child would not die alone,” he said adding that his parents ignored this threat and trouble followed. His younger sister and brother died and later, his arm started swelling.

“We tried all we could. We visited countless witch doctors. Later on, I underwent an operation but the doctor who operated on me ended up causing me more harm. He cut the nerves between my palm and arm,” he said.
