Mike Sonko splashes millions on German machine for his son’s 19th birthday (Photos)

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko surprised his adopted son Gift Osinya with a brand new German machine car as he turned a year older.

Gift celebrated his 19th birthday on Sunday, May 17 2020 in the company of his brother Satrine, sister Sandra Mbuvi and the governor’s wife Primrose Mbuvi.

The governor, who is known for his flashy lifestyle and charitable contributions, went all out on his son’s birthday.

Sonko also went on to showcase a video of how the young man had grown since he adopted him and how his life had changed for the better.

The son, who has proved to be an intelligent young man, managed to pass his KCPE with flying colors in 2016 leaving his family in a celebratory mood and later on joined Lenana High.

Like father like son Gift is known to also showcase a lavish lifestyle on social media where he also posted a video of him and his friends driving around in his new sleek brand new car.

Gift came into the limelight after losing his mom in a church shoot-out where he was seen cuddling with his younger brother in a saddening photo.

He is a lucky young man and we as Ghafla wish him the best as he sits for his KCSE exams this year.

Check out photos of the car below.

Tulia unachoma bana! Sonko says he’s a witness Ken Okoth has a child outside marriage that need to be taken care off

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has claimed the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth has a child outside his marriage.

He spoke during the Late Okoth’s memorial service held at Moi Girls High School where he said Okoth got a child with a nurse who worked for his rescue team.

“During some medical camp in 2013 Ken met a beautiful nurse from Sonko Rescue Team with whom he bore a child. I am a witness to that effect,” Sonko claimed.

Public affair

Sonko also went on to add that the lady is currently a nominated MCA in Nairobi county and her love for Okoth was a public affair and no one should downplay it.

“The two lovebirds did not hide the fact that they shared a son. Unfortunately, today Anita was stopped at the Lee funeral home as she took their son to pay last respect to his father.Who does that?”

Governor Joho´s barber on the spot over mediocre haircut

Governor 001, Ali Hassan Joho, never misses out on his taste of fashion, his haircut as well as full grown beard.

However, his barber might have missed this time round after a camera captured the back of his head, parading an ´unfinished´ haircut.

On Tuesday, while taking President Uhuru around his Mombasa County, Kenyans could not help but notice the island popping from a sea of hair.

It has always been his forehead that we have occasionally been exposed to, hardly the back of his head but we did not expect it to be this bad.

In pictures that have since gone viral on social media, Joho´s back head is unfamiliar to us.

Apparently, in a recent interview with Citizen TV´s, Willy M Tuva, the governor once paid his barber, George Dufanda, $100 (a whooping Ksh 10,000) just for a shave.

The barber

The popular county Governor seeks services from a top Congolese barber, George Dafunda who gives him a state of the art haircut.

The Congolese national has previously revealed that the Governor does pay him well for a haircut.

Revealing that whenever Joho requires a shave, his assistants usually contact him then he goes to his Nairobi house to get his trademark perfectly done.

Sonko to Nairobians: I want to assure you that you will walk again. I won’t accept laziness. I’d rather be a one-term governor

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has promised Nairobi residents to gear up for another serious trekking session as he fights to end congestion in the CBD.

Sonko’s first attempt, done last week, turned out disastrous as hundreds were trapped in jams for hours while others had to walk several kilometers to get a matatu.

Speaking during the commissioning of the KCB Foundation 2jiajiri Youth Empowerment Program, Class of 2018 on Thursday, the governor said that Kenyans have become lazy and he won’t allow that.

“I’d rather be a one-term governor than leave Nairobi city the way I found it. Let us be unpopular now but we make the right decisions which at times can be very painful. Walking is exercise and you will still walk again. Even in Rwanda, President Kagame is making people exercise,” he said.

Elderly and the physically challenged

The governor added that next time he’s implementing the ban, only elderly and physically challenged will be given consideration.

“We will only look after the pregnant women, elderly and the physically challenged. For the youth, you must walk. From Muthurwa or any bus terminus to the CBD is only 1km…We must be active. As your governor, I will not allow laziness and I want to assure you that you will walk again,” said Sonko.

Sonko: I don’t hate Kikuyus. All my Mpango wa kandos are Kikuyu

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has come out to state that he doesn’t hate any tribe, especially Kikuyu unlike what some have been speculating.

The governor was responding to rumors that he has sidelined the tribe in his government and frustrating those who are holding powerful offices in the county.

What surprised many though is how Sonko said that it when defending his office. In a rather unexpected turn, the governor, who is married, claimed that he has Mpango wa Kando who are all Kikuyu.

“People say Sonko hates Kikuyu, it’s untrue. I have nominated over 10 Kikuyu MCAS, my wife is a Kikuyu, all my side dishes and in laws are Kikuyu. Even the incoming deputy governor is a Kikuyu,” Sonko said.

Mike Sonko allegedly shares screenshots of his conversation with sassy preacher, Reverend Natasha (Photo)

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is said to have shared a screenshot of his conversation with Reverend Natasha Lucy. The photo which is making rounds on social media shows the two talking about an upcoming all night prayers.

However Reverend Natasha’s main reason for their conversation is to see whether the governor would approve 2 of her church posters to land on billboards in the city.

Since the two are good friends, the governor probably thought of sharing the post to support the event. He went to caption the photo saying;

Thank you for remembering me in your prayers Reverend. I’ll attend the CROSSOVER NIGHT prayers at Mawingo Ha, Lilian towers during the New Year’s Eve Kesha

His Facebook followers however could not help but make fan of the two.

Boss Moves: Prezzo reveals why he met up with Nairobi’s Governor, Mike Sonko

Rapper Prezzo has lately been keeping a low profile making many wonder what he has been up to. However, I have learnt that the fella has been up and down working on different projects.

While many might think that he has been stressing over his ex getting pregnant for her new beau…the rapper has been handling matters that will help many youths who are caught up in drugs and those handling illegal weapons.
Speaking to popular news outlet the rapper came out to confirm that he indeed met up with Governor Mike Sonko just recently where they talked about several issues that will help the youths in the country. He said;

“Yes, it is true I paid a courtesy call on Governor Sonko in his office and among the things we talked about was the issue of drug abuse and illegal guns in the hands of youths, not only in Nairobi but also in other urban centres across the country. I have first-hand experience in this and I am offering myself to articulate the issues,”

Having been caught up in drugs a while back, Prezzo said that he is now reformed and is focusing on helping others who are facing the same problem. He concluded by adding;

Before and After; Prezzo

“I am a reformed CMB Prezzo and right now, my focus is on serving my generation through such openings and using my life experience as a reform ambassador for youths,”

Well this is a move we expect our leaders to concentrate on and hopefully Prezzo will make a difference as our Youths seem to be caught up in the fast life that forces them to use drugs and at the same time choose the life of crime to satisfy their needs.
