Harmonize emotionally breaks down at President Mkapa’s funeral, walks off stage mid-performance (Video)

As Tanzania and the East African community sent off the former President Benjamin Mkapa in a stately function, Harmonize who performed at the event, could not hold back his tears before emotionally breaking down.

Soon as he got on stage, the Bongo star hailed the late Mkapa with praises, for his notable work in the countrys infrastructure.

The late President Mkapa was laid to rest at his home in Lupaso, Masasi in Mtwara region, after his untimely demise on Friday, July 24 while in hospital, following an undisclosed illness.

Aged 81, the fallen hero will be remembered as the third president of Tanzania, a two-term president who helped transform the nation to a free-market economy among many other reforms.

He became president following the countrys first multiparty election in 1995 up until 2005 when he left office. His death has seen him leave behind a widow Anna Maro and their children.
