Kenya Air Force fighter jets arrive in Kisumu Airport ahead of Mashujaa Day celebration in Kakamega (Photos)

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to lead the nation in marking Mashujaa Day which will be hosted at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Saturday October 20th.

Different counties have been hosting national celebrations since Uhuru became president in 2013. 2018 Madaraka Day celebration was held at Kinoru stadium in Nyeri County.A

Preparations for the 2018 Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kakamega are in high gear as Kenya Air Force is all ready to put up a spectacular air show over the air at Bukhungu Stadium.

Proximity to Kisumu

Kenya Air Force fight jets have already landed in Kisumu ahead of Mashujaa Day celebrations. Kisumu has the biggest airport in Western Kenya and it’s only 48 km from Kakamega.

Air force jets will now fly from Kisumu airport to Kakamega instead of flying all the way from Laikipia Air Base in Nanyuki for the air show in Kakamega.
