Kenyan artist leaves mark on Country Music scene with a Soul-stirring Gospel Hit

Country music endears for its timelessness, authenticity, innovation and cultural significance.

The genre boasts universal themes around love, freedom and social justice. Country music’s deepest touch, though – comes along with gospel music.

Locally, various musicians have achieved various levels of success. Granted, Mugithi is the native country music variety, right? Its common in outdoor and themed-night live band settings and performances.

Msanii Foreman has dropped a soul-stirring country-themed gem titled ‘Lord, Thank You‘ that draws inspiration from the legendary Kenny Rogers’ classic ‘The Gambler’.

The versatile US-based Kenyan artist skillfully delivers an heartfelt rendition infused with an almost-tangible spiritual depth.

The first notes of ‘Lord, Thank You’ showcase a fine mastery of the guitar. It shines through to set the tone for a melodious journey filled with warmth and gratitude.

The country-inspired instrumentation coupled with soulful vocals creates a tranquil atmosphere that uplifts with a message of thanksgiving.

The lyrics are relatable, simple and sincere. Easy sing-along lyrics whose core message is gratitude and faith.

The genuine appreciation for life’s blessings and an acknowledgement of a divine providence that guides our path transcends borders and cultures.

The video is directed by Ona Tena, the brains behind Ona Tena Media.

It’s a work of visual art that captures the rugged Texan countryside of cowboys, horses and the signature cowboy hats juxtaposed with Msanii Foreman’s East African roots.

The seamless integration of culture adds depth to the narrative and universality of music.
I’d be glad to see a remix or a medley that features other artists, especially female vocals on the bridge and chorus.

Lord, Thank You‘ is a beautiful addition to the world of praise and worship, and a positive tag in the timeless power of music that uplifts and unites souls in harmony.

Well done, cowboy. Sample it here:

Stunt? Has gospel singer Mr Seed bought multi-million car for mum?(photo)

Gospel singer Mr Seed had a huge surprise for his mum that has always supported him in his career. The singer is said to have gifted his mum a brand new Audi as a gift. But some are doubting.

No gift

It’s not really clear if it was a gift or he was just shooting a new music video. Gospel artists have perfected the art of lying to their followers whenever they are about to release something. Some fans even argued that the he doesn’t have a car how can he gift his mum with one?

Anyhow, Mr Seed took to social media to flaunt his love for his mother saying:

“BEST MOM EVER.. one for my mom ☺☺??.” he said.

Just like Jalongo, Robert Burale trashes Kenyan gospel artists: No content, please regroup

A lot of people have been complaining about gospel songs in Kenya. Groove Awards this year is facing a tough challenge on who should represent them after a bunch of watered-down releases from different artists.

Jalang’o mercilessly attacked the artists for having useless content in their songs instead of putting uplifting messages. His attack was not taken kindly and even singer size 8 has come out to defend the artists.

Please change or stop

Pastor Robert Burale is also siding with Jalong’o. He has come out to attack artists who are doing gospel for the money and fame instead of to spread the word.

Here’s what he said on social media:

TODAY allow me to talk to the Kenyan Artists both Gospel and Secular …You have complained for too long that the public support international acts at your expense ..well sit down and let’s talk

1: Try and put some more effort In shooting your videos ..Avoid cheap graphics that look like a kindergarten “video thesis”..People appreciate where effort is EVIDENT…(Ofcourse not all Artists fall here ..Some are very very good and we know them )

2: LYRICS …you don’t have to use words like “pupu” in your songs to sell…You can do love songs without necessarily using deamining words like ” mahaga zimeiva kama ndondo” .. And you wonder why majority prefer love songs by Tanzanian,Nigerian artists and few Kenyan acts like Sauti Sol …

3:Gospel Artists/Ministers….If your song excites the flesh more than the spirit …please regroup..

4:We don’t need to hear your name 75 times before we hear the name of Jesus …Bible says IF I BE LIFTED UP …

5..Lastly to the so called VIDEO VIXENS ..did someone tell you that to qualify to appear in a music video you must be almost NAKED…if you want to be NAKED go the the SAUNA

Wacha nikapige Raundi…..Au sio..

PART MBEE….
