I’m a big fan of Tanzanian songstress Maua Sama so when I heard that she had released a new song, I was naturally excited and I hope that you will be too after listening to it.

So, the jam is titled Nioneshe, which is Swahili for show me and it’s such a beautiful composition. If you’re into love ballads, I have a feeling that you will be listening to it on replay for a very long time.

Maua Sama

From my understanding, Maua Sama is not too sure whether a certain chap loves her. As such, she wants he wants him to show her that he really loves her through his actions.

I only started jamming to Bongo recently so when I tell you that this track is dope, you better believe me. You really should ladies and gentlemen.

For starters, Maua Sama has a lovely voice, the kind that most men, including myself, wouldn’t mind listening to all day. She really sounds like an angel, wait how do they even sound?

Maua Sama

She has a way of expressing herself in her songs that makes you feel like she is talking to you and then she is sincere in the way she sings.

To add to that there is a guy with a deep base on the background vocals and I feel their voices blend so well. Although my Swahili is not all that, I feel Nioneshe is lyrically on point.

The beat and instrumentation are not that bad either. If you’ve heard of the name Kimambo then I’m sure you know that he is probably the best beat maker in Tanzania.

The video is also really dope. One of the things I love most about it is it’s crisp quality. Of course, the location, props and scene transitioning were also impeccable. Kudos to Hanscana.

The jam titled Haina Maana, which loosely translates to ‘it does not have any meaning’, has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.

Basically, this track s about a lady who is in love with a certain guy but it’s like her partner does not really  appreciate her so she decides to throw in the towel because she does not see the point in them being together.

Haina Maana is really infectious. I’ve listened to it a couple of times since it came out and every time I play it, it’s like I’m hearing if for the very first time. Yup, it’s that good ladies and gentlemen.

Mimi Mars, who is Vanessa Mdee’s younger sister, has amazing vocals and I believe it is something that runs in their family since their other sister – Nancy Hebron – also has a lovely voice.

Mimi Mars

To add to that, she knows how to control her voice and as you are listening to her you kind of get the feeling like it’s a live performance and you are the only one in the audience.

Notably, Haina Maana is also well arranged which simply means that it flows smoothly. If you are the kind of people who love to master songs then believe yo me, you’ll learn the whole of it after listening twice or maybe thrice.

The beat and instrumentation on this jam are impeccable. Other than the fact that they make the song catchy, they’re also in tandem with Mimi Mars’ vibe, style and tempo.

Award-winning Tanzanian singer Nurdin Bilal Ali, better known as Shetta, has released a new track alongside Rhino and it’s getting so much love from their fans.

The song dubbed Wekka has been getting a lot of airplay since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we’re also feeling it or else we would not be reviewing it, would we? Okay, maybe we would.

Basically, this track is about a certain guy who is obsessed with a beautiful lady to an extent where he can not put his mind to anything else.

Shetta

In the second verse, Shetta says that he wants people to know that they really love each other and it doesn’t matter if the relationship will cost him a lot of money because she belongs to him after all.

Wekaa is such a beautiful composition. To add to that, it’s well-arranged. It’s those kind of jams that you hear on the radio and a specific person, perhaps your crush, comes to your mind almost instantly.

The voices of Rhino and that of Shetta, also known as Baba Qayllah, blend perfectly. While the latter’s voice is subtle and soft, the former’s is a bit horse and together they sound so perfect.

Notably, the beat and instrumentation on this jam are also dope so much so that you will just keep hitting the replay button. Yup, it’s that good. We have to give it to the super-talented Kimambo for the good work.

Listen to Wekaa below and tell us what you think. Enjoy.
