“There are times I lock myself in a room and cry” Mike Sonko confesses in emotional post

Mike Sonko has come from way too far. From a hustler who started his business of hawking in Mombasa to a flamboyant businessman who has not only used his wealth for his personal benefit; but also in helping the jobless youths in most of Nairobi ghetto areas.

Anyway, thanks to a new post shared by the Nairobi governor, he goes on to advice his followers on the importance of not giving up. Through his Instagram page the trendy MP went on to reveal that he has never given up on life; and this is why he has managed to come this far.

He went on to open up about this in a detailed post where he wrote;

Good morning dear brothers and sisters.

As Celine Dion would sing, a new day has come. How has your day started? I know times can be tough. There is that challenge each day brings with it. Maybe you are looking for a job that seems so hard to find, or have applied for that promotion but its not forthcoming, don’t you dare give up. I never give up and if you are my friend, I beg you to keep going.

We all stumble

Having seen so many youths and young families suffer during this pandemic; Sonko went on that he too breaks down and cries when he hits the wall.

Judging from the rest of the message, I bet Sonko has been witnessing most youths visit his office for donations; hence reminding him of the life he once lived. The stylish MP went on to add;

Sometimes you may look at my life and think it has been smooth sailing. That is far from the truth. There have been tough times, there are times I have closed myself in a room and shed tears wondering how tomorrow would be, but guess what I have never given up!

TBT: Sonko

You see, nobody’s journey is seamless or smooth. Not even Barrack Obama, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, or Abraham Lincoln or Nelson Mandela or whoever that person you idolize. We all stumble. We all have setbacks. There are times when things will go wrong, there are those times when you will hit a dead end. But remember dear friend, when that time comes, realize it’s just life’s way of saying, “time to change course.”

In conclusion, life will never be fair as it has it’s ups and downs. However choosing to give up will not help in any way. He went on to conclude saying;

In every failure, in every crisis, in every difficult time, I ask myself “what is this here to teach me? As soon as I get the lesson, I get to move on. I get to make wiser decisions, I get to be at peace with the world, I get to be a person’s role model, and I get to be a friend you can always talk to. Kila wakati sio siasa. Kweli rongo?

Mike Sonko’s piece of advice to youths looking to make quick and easy cash!

Governor and slay King Mike Sonko isn’t all about jokes when it comes to the youths! For some reason, he happens to be the only member of parliament with good intentions towards the young generation.

As seen on his latest post shared on his social media pages; Mike Sonko went on to urge the youths to start from the ground up – instead of jumping into quick sweet deals!

His post comes just a few weeks after one Kevin was said to have been murdered over money related issues. From the stories making rounds on social media, the guy is said to have been involved in an easy money making deal; however he did not live long enough to enjoy his money.

Let me share this…To our young men, under 30. Look my dear brothers fortunes and success in life are results of hardwork. If you by any chance angukia and become rich you have cheated in life, and most definitely you will fall back to zero. The best diamond passes through hot fire.

He went on to add;

Hizi deals za usiku kucha and you start spinning Porsche Panamera which you can’t tell how you earned, will dig you an early grave. The sweetest success has a story. You start a business, tried and failed, tried and failed, tried and failed and so on and so on until business teaches you enough money lessons.

Life has no short cut

To pass his message across, Mike Sonko went on to remind his followers that nothing in life comes easy; nor does it miraculously fall down from heaven.

For one to be successful, there must be hard work. The governor went on to add;

Life has no short cut, that’s why our fathers drove cars at 40s and 50s. Life experiences has no short cuts, that why it took our fathers years to finish the house we were brought up in.

Marriage has no shortcuts, you have to face challenges, you build it up through those challenges.

Nothing is easy to earn, and if you woke up a millionaire, just know you will not overstay on top. This wash wash businesses will give you a one hit wonder, or make you a one minute millionaire. And we can tell with the excitement you have, you are not built to last.

I have been approached many times, oooh bro with your brains you can do very well. Oooh, you just need to dress smart and nail a deal and walk out a rich man. Oooh, I will give you a good car bora deal iivane, nonsense let me work hard for my money. Let me cry when I fail, let me scratch the ground hard enough.

If God wants that for me, acha niangukie kaproject kapesa mzuri, that one I will have worked hard through my experience. Lakini hii, tupatane B club nikuonyeshane kwa mabig fish, you are wasting your time, I am not coming.

Think twice

There two things to understand in this businesses, one you can’t cheat on big fish, and if you do they will not have a second thought pulling that trigger.

Two, you can’t outsmart them, you can’t tell of their secret businesses, they watch your life more than your mother watches you. What a life you have money but nowhere to spend because you are being watched. If not by them, the DCI is tracing your steps.

Vijana acheni haraka yakuwa mabudesko, your time will come.

Mike Sonko embarks on weight loss journey, years after letting his body go!

Governor Mike Sonko is currently watching his weight now that his body fat has started to show; or rather already started showing a long time ago.

However thanks to his instincts, the youthful governor now has started sharing his weight loss journey through his social media pages. On his first day we understand chose to jog on his treadmill for a few minutes.

Judging from his beer belly,  must admit that Sonko may need more than jogging to get back his old body. This is because his current body makes him look a bit older and of course he can’t slay in his stylish designer outfits when the pot belly keeps getting in his way!

We all known our governor likes to enjoy the good life even if it means wearing fake designer outfits just for laughs and giggles! After photos of his Versage went viral, the governor decided to change the tune by flaunting his extravagant bedroom; giving fans on social media a reason to criticize.

Well the video aimed at showing Snko’s weight loss journey left fans talking about his expensive bed among other things. For a man with money like him, many hoped he would at least have bought a house with a walk in closet; and not the shoe rack seen blocking the bed view.

Indeed Sonko enjoys the fine life and having ‘worked’ his way to the top; the youthful politician can’t help but parade everything he has since achieved. I mean money is no longer an issue, but spending it on the fake designers is what seems to be the problem.

He wore clothes which were inscribed Louis Yutton, which is a knock off for Loius Vuitton. To add to that, his style generally seemed off.

Sonko left his followers wondering whether he has a stylist and what they were thinking when they bought those clothes.

Aura wrote, “I wonder why Sonko wear designer knock-offs when he has the money to buy the real thing.”

Atoti commented, “Thought it was a birthday clown till I looked closer.”

Martin posted, ” This is exactly what happened when you have so much money but zero drip.”

Why Mike Sonko is begging kenyans to remember in him in their prayers!

Mike Sonko has not been getting any sleep for the past few days; and word has it that this is because government agencies have been looking into his assets.

So far the Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) have been investigating how the governor spent Sh500 million between August 2017 and December 2019.

His spokesman Ben Mulwa recently confirmed that Sonko’s office in Upper Hill was recently raided by officers looking for unknown information; however since they did not have a search warrant, they were denied access!

Mike Sonko arrested in Mombasa

Sonko restless

Of course with trouble attacking him from all angles, Sonko have found himself battling a case of Insomnia as he probably fears ending up in court; or worse in jail if the stories circulating around assets are true.

On Monday morning around 3am, Sonko left some of his Facebook followers asking questions after he shared a post asking for prayers.

According to him, insomnia is real and has denied him the peace of enjoying a quiet night sleep for days now. Through his Facebook page the governor wrote;

Mike Sonko battling sleepless nights

Watu wangu, insomnia is real. Haki muendelee kuniombea mpaka Mungu Askie maombi yenu. Nami sitawawachilia

Political fights

In February 2020 Governor Mike Sonko suffered a blow after the High Court froze his 10 accounts. According to reports the accounts allegedly hold over Ksh 18 million believed to have been stolen from the county.

For this reason the court not only barred Mr Sonko from transferring; withdrawing but also using the funds deposited in six accounts at Equity Bank; three at Diamond Trust Bank and another at Co-operative Bank of Kenya.

However with 2022 around the corner, the governor has been doing the most to help the common mwanainchi; as he hopes to get re-elected in future to ‘help’ accomplish what he had started in Nairobi city!

All that money and still no sleep?

Mike Sonko’s heartfelt tribute to his late dad leaves many in tears

As the world marked Father’s Day,  Sunday June 21, Mike Sonko was not left behind! The controversial politician went on to appreciate his late dad in a moving message shared on his social media; leaving many in tears.

Although his father has been resting for a few years now; the governor could not hold back from remembering where they both came from. In his message, Mike Mbuvi appreciates his father for standing with him through both tough and happy times.

Sonko praying for his late dad at his final resting place

  I dedicate this special day to my late Father Gedion Kioko Mbuvi Kivanguli, whenever I was stranded, he was there for me to help me out.

It is no secret that Sonko had a humble beginning before the money and fame. For those who can remember, Sonko back in the day was a hustler in Mombasa; and being an ambitious man with a vision, the guy worked his way to the top.

In his message, he went on to also appreciate himself as a father figure to many; not forgetting to appreciate Nairobi Father’s for the sacrifices they have been making for their families. He went on to add;

Mike Sonko’s dad’s resting place

I take this opportunity to thank God for making me a father figure to many… To the rest of the Fathers in Nairobi, May the Almighty God bless you and the work of your hands for also being fathers to many people

Grandfather of 2

So far Sonko is not just a father but a grand daddy of 2 thanks to her eldest daughter, Saumu Mbuvi.

Saumu Mbuvi with dad, Mike Sonko (holding his granddaughter) and Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip

Just like his daughters, Mike Sonko is said to be in love with his grand children; and since he worked extra hard to ensure they have a good life – the girls will definitely have it easier!

Mike Sonko mocks cop who manhandled him in Voi, offers to pay his child after wife embarrassed him

;Back in 2019 Mike Sonko headlines following his dramatic arrest back in Voi; where he was roughed up by several police officers. The Nairobi governor was arrested and charged with money laundering; among other crimes which linked him to a multimillion dollar corruption scandal.

His arrest was however scandalous as he police officers roughed him up without a care in the world! A few months down the line and one of the officers who embarrassed him during the arrest has found himself in trouble with his baby mama.

As seen on a viral video shared on social media, the officer identified as retired Voi Base Commander Michael Mureithi was accused of neglecting his responsibilities by the mother of his child.

In the video, the baby mama is seen putting up a whole show why she publicly revealed how Mr Mureithi has refused to pay Ksh 300,000 for his child’s upkeep!

Sonko steps in

Having come across the video, Mike Sonko happened to recognize the officer and being a generous person; Sonko went to his facebook page where he wrote a detailed post promising to help Mr Mureithi with the money. He went on to write saying;

The Voi Base Commander who handcuffed me becomes a deadbeat dad. I do not support domestic violence. I condemn the use of violence in any relationship but pole sana my friend Mr. Mureithi the recently retired Voi Base commander who forcefully handcuffed me with two pairs of handcuffs just to board a police chopper during my arrest at Voi.

Since the officer is now retired, Sonko urged him to accept the responsibility of being a father not forgetting to add that he would help him pay the child support. He went on to add;

My humble advice to you, if the baby the woman is alleging is really yours kindly accept the responsibility it’s just normal part of life and since you are now retired, I’m willing to pay for you the 300,000/= upkeep the woman has been awarded by the children’s court.

As usual his posts never come without some petty shade; and this time around he was willing to help yet another cop who manhandled him during the arrest. He went on to conclude saying;

Mike Sonko arrested

I have also been made to understand that one of your colleagues who also manhandled me has a kidney problem I’m as well willing to help in meeting his medical expenses.

King Kaka sparks huge nationwide debate with latest release ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ (Video)

Award-winning Kenyan rapper Kennedy Ombima, popularly known as King Kaka, has been the talk of the town over the last few days after releasing a rather controversial song.

Also read: King Kaka is releasing so many songs but nobody cares

The jam titled Wajinga Nyinyi, which loosely translates to you fools, calls on Kenyans to rise up against vices such as corruption, tribalism, nepotism, favoritism and what have you.

In the song, which has so far crossed the 1 million views mark on YouTube, King Kaka tells Kenyans to avoid divisive politics and picking candidates not on the basis of merit but because they belong to the same tribe.

King Kaka

He also mentions various leaders who have been charged with corruption such as; Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

King Kaka further lambastes Kenyans, including clerics, for showering corrupt leaders with praise rather than telling them the truth. He compares the behavior to that of a fool saying:

“Si basi wakam kwa church watoe pesa tulitoa kama tax, na pastor ana-kiss ass ampatie hadi asome ka-verse, na sisi tuko busy wajinga nyinyi tunaclap.”

He goes on to explain the dire situation that Kenyans have to put up with such as unemployment, stalled government projects, being jailed for petty offences, inflation, high taxation, crime, bribery etc.

The Niko Kwa Jam Nakam hit maker claims that he’s not afraid of dying if that’s what it will take for us to realize the mess that we are in saying, “Wakinisnipe tonight si mnajua ni kwa nini, ntakufia watu siogopi mimi.”

King Kaka

The song, which is in the form of spoken words, has elicited mixed reactions since it was released and to be honest, I really love it because it has served as a wake up call to most of us who were too comfortable.

The violin that is playing in the background as King Kaka flows brings a sombre mood and helps you put things into perspective so does the video which was directed by a chap known as CJ.

Generally speaking, this jam which is the fourth single from King Kaka’s upcoming mixtape titled The Servant & The King is a masterpiece which might just start a revolution, if it has not already done that.

Watch Wajinga Nyinyi below and tell us what you think.

Passaris shuns Sonko again: “He’s not my type. How do you sleep with a man like him? By the time you are done removing his rings, necklaces, the mood would have disappeared

Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Passaris has yet again blasted Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, saying he’s not his type and that she can never jump in bed with him.

Speaking during a Nairobi women’s meeting organised by Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, Passaris confessed she has a long list of men whom she could have dated rather than Sonko.

”I even wonder, how do you sleep with a man like him? By the time you are done with removing his rings, necklaces, belts, rastas, caps, the mood would have disappeared. We should all stop playing, women are serious people,” Passaris said.

Afraid

A few weeks ago, Sonko claimed that Passaris was hitting on him. He went on to post a call exposing her for allegedly begging money from him.

Passaris said that Sonko tarnished her name because he’s afraid of competition.

”People should stop fearing that some of us want their seats. Just like this governor who got scared when people suggested I should be the governor because of my track record. He got scared and he started insulting me. How can I sleep with him? Aren’t there enough men to sleep with. If I could not sleep with this good looking man here (Arati), will I sleep with him (Sonko)?” she posed.

Sonko launches hotline number for side chicks who have been abandoned by politicians

If you’re a side chick and your man is a politician and he hasn’t been picking your calls, Governor Mike Sonko is willing to help you.

After Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s memorial service saga last week in Nairobi, Sonko has been receiving some heavy criticisms from other politicians such as Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo and nominated lawmaker Isaac Mwaura.

Sonko, however, has insisted that he was just saying the truth and not after attention.

“If by speaking the truth is what people are calling Bonga points then so be it. We must speak for the majority of the voiceless women including orphans, widows, divorcees, single mothers and the so-called slay queens,” Sonko said later.

Call

The governor has surprised many by sharing a number which politicians’ Mpango wa Kando can call to reveal their secret relationships in case they need help.

Sonko said women can call 0722886600/0739555555 if they need any help in case politicians have abandoned them.

‘You left your first wife for a Samantha’- Sonko’s team tear Alfred Mutua apart after he criticized Sonko

The beef between Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is getting hot and hotter.

After Mutua raided Nairobi on Tuesday to criticize the state of the county, Sonko has also done the same with Machakos.

Accompanied by EALA MP Simon Mbugua, former MPs Kalembe Kalembe Ndile and Reuben Ndolo, businessman Stanley Livondo, Sonko on Thursday invaded Machakos where they attacked the governor even going personal.

Mbugua attacked Mutua’s wife claiming that she was Jaguar’s girlfriend before Mutua snatched her from him. The MP also shocking went a head and called her a sex toy( Samantha) in front of the crowd.

“Mutua has done something no man should do. He abandoned his first wife and kids to marry a Samantha. And even that Samantha, my investigations revealed that he snatched her from Jaguar,” the MP told the crowd.

Respect women

Sonko stayed away from Lilian but accused the popular governor of worshiping idols.

The Governor is a retarded idiot. He wastes time worshiping idols. I respect women so I won’t talk about his wife. If Konza city had been built, the youths would have jobs, but since you elected a conman as a Governor, all he does is bring the President here for PR,” Sonko told the crowd.

“I recently hosted Kalonzo (Musyoka) for lunch and he assumed I had abandoned him. Yesterday, he went to my hotel and arrested my staff. I am consoling myself because this is a man who abandoned his wife and children, his own blood, so whom I am I?” Ndile added.

Leaked phone call of Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris allegedly begging Sonko money gets mixed reaction

It all started during Madaraka Day celebrations when Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko blasted Woman Rep Esther Passaris for always calling him.

“Mimi si bwana yako nishike simu zako kila wakati,” Sonko said while on the podium as the crowd cheered.

Passaris then walked away from her seat and off the podium as the crowd shouted enda enda.

Now, a phone call allegedly from Passaris to the governor has been leaked online by Robert Alai. In the phone call,  Passaris is asking for 500K before he can go for a meeting.

“I went for a strategy meeting, and I was given some strategy which I told baba (Raila) to use..and baba listened to me. He used the strategy at the Jakaranda, ok? And baba has already told someone, a relative of his that this one is now going to be my kingpin in Nairobi…So tomorrow at seven o’clock; we are going to see him (Raila); I want to go with half a million, everybody is going with KSh 500,00, but me I do not have the money,” the lady said.

I have a wife

Sonko then agrees to help her with the cash after the two talk for sometime. It’s not yet clear if it was actually Passaris making the call.

Later in the video the lady says that she’s ready to love Sonko for free if he gives her the money but Sonko says he has a wife.

“I will give you KSh 500,000 today…when are you going to see baba (Raila)?” Sonko inquired. “Seven in the morning tomorrow,” she replied. “Okay, I will give you KSh 500,000 today,” he assured.

Listen to the phone call below:

Photo of Sonko’s daughter with Miraa and wine gets mixed reaction

Just like her father, Saumu Mbuvi has brought about mixed reaction after sharing a photo online with Miraa.

Saumu’s dad,  Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, surprised many after sharing a clip enjoying a bunch of Miraa straight from Meru. The photo brought about mixed reaction as many didn’t understand why a governor would do such a thing.

Mbuvi, shared the photo on social media with the drug but it’s not clear if she was taking them.

Mixed emotions

The photo came with a lot of mixed reaction as Kenyans poured out their opinion as usual. While some were interested to see that she was carrying miraa, others rebuked her clamming that the drug is not for women at all.

‘He was hiding bhang in the socks.. he rolls so many’ Sonko shocks many after revealing how he used to smoke bhang with Waititu

Today they might not see eye to eye but as younger men, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko said Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and him had some wild days together as MPs.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday night, Sonko claimed they smoked weed a lot in parliament toilets.

He used to smoke a lot of bhang when he was an MP, I’m a witness to this, we used to go to a certain toilet there… we used to smoke a lot of bhang with this guy,” Sonko said.

He was hiding bhang in the socks.. he rolls so many… I’m a witness… I’m not smoking anymore him he’s still smoking as the governor of Kiambu,” he added.

Drama

The two governors have been entangled in a lot of drama as their counties continue to clash over various reasons.  Recently, Waititu said that Nairobi is for everyone and Sonko shouldn’t bother de-congesting the City.

The Kiambu governor referred to Sonko as a ‘mad man’ who is inconsiderate to business owners in the matatu industry.

Sonko to Nairobians: I want to assure you that you will walk again. I won’t accept laziness. I’d rather be a one-term governor

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has promised Nairobi residents to gear up for another serious trekking session as he fights to end congestion in the CBD.

Sonko’s first attempt, done last week, turned out disastrous as hundreds were trapped in jams for hours while others had to walk several kilometers to get a matatu.

Speaking during the commissioning of the KCB Foundation 2jiajiri Youth Empowerment Program, Class of 2018 on Thursday, the governor said that Kenyans have become lazy and he won’t allow that.

“I’d rather be a one-term governor than leave Nairobi city the way I found it. Let us be unpopular now but we make the right decisions which at times can be very painful. Walking is exercise and you will still walk again. Even in Rwanda, President Kagame is making people exercise,” he said.

Elderly and the physically challenged

The governor added that next time he’s implementing the ban, only elderly and physically challenged will be given consideration.

“We will only look after the pregnant women, elderly and the physically challenged. For the youth, you must walk. From Muthurwa or any bus terminus to the CBD is only 1km…We must be active. As your governor, I will not allow laziness and I want to assure you that you will walk again,” said Sonko.

Sonko suspends Matatu ban with immediate effect after outcry

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has made a surprising U-turn  over the City Hall ban on matatus after neurmour complains from Kenyans.

Despite saying that the ban will stay, the governor today announced that the ban must be suspended after the chaos Nairobi was put through.

“I have met this morning with the affected PSV operators with a view to agreeing an acceptable solution that has less negative implication on all affected. During the coming days, I will continue to hold discussions with affected parties to find a way forward,” said Sonko.

Jam

The ban kicked off yesterday but worsened the situation in CBD as long traffic jams snarled up movement in Nairobi.

“I have noted with deep concern the plight of Nairobi residents as a result of the ban, and hereby announce that the full implementation of this directive has been suspended with immediate effect. This is to facilitate further consultation with all affected parties, in order to find a lasting solution to the problem of vehicular congestion.

City preacher calls Sonko an idiot who doesn’t deserve leadership position as photos emerged of disabled struggling to get to CBD following matatu ban

Sonko’s administration didn’t factor in the disabled, the sick and the aged when they rolled out blanket ban of matatus from the city.

The Nairobi county government effected the ban from Monday December 3rd prompting thousands for Nairobians to trek for kilometers to the CBD.

The move which is aimed to relieve the congestion of CBD, caused confused on Monday and did little to ease  traffic jam on Nairobi roads.

Your government has brought nothing but sorrow

Pastor Godfrey Migwi of the Hope Church has sent a strong message to Nairobi governor warning him that when when the poor cry God also makes the rich cry.

Migwi says Sonko’s decision to ban matatus from the CBD is punishing poor Nairobians who don’t have personal cars or who can’t afford to hire taxis to take them to the CBD.

“This matatu town center ban with no proper plan from Nrb county government is an idiotic and mindless act, for sure they need to decongest the city for the rich to enjoy but with a better plan to come up with a solution, the work of any leader is to give directions and solutions , and if not he/she is not fit to be a leader he’s only a dictator and a cruel person who doesn’t care. But what I know when poor cry God make rich also cry Before Him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by Him as worthless and less than nothing. To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare Him to?” (Isaiah 40:17,18 ),” wrote Pastor Migwi in part.

Adding that;

“The is are some of questions are in my mind , ok matatu are banned to enter town center, many Kenyans don’t own personal car, what about the disabled, sick ones and the aged ones ,, Your government has brought nothing but sorrow.how does someone working in westlands and lives in Nairobi eastlands commute to work given he is dropped in muthurwa and has to go to ngara.how does a person working on Mombasa rd commute when living in along Thika road yet they are the majority working population that support the same city that’s tearing them into pieces .Did we elect leaders or primary school prefects , God can punish this nation and it’s leadership for less caring.

“Civilizations come and go, and governments rise and fall. Because our Creator loves people, He also blesses each nation with a span of time so it might prosper and do well, but this blessing ends when a nation becomes degenerate, rebellious, and unfit for self-rule. When God determines that extended mercy for a nation has no redeeming effect, He marginalizes or destroys that nation.”

Chipukeezy explains clash at Kisumu airport with Sonko’s team

Sonko Rescue Team and Chipukeezy had a stand-off at Kisumu International Airport after they both laid claim on sickly boxer Conjestina Achieng.

The two group – Team Sonko and Chipukeezy who was representing National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) both wanted to take Conje back in Nairobi.

Chipukeezy, who serves at NACADA board, had earlier indicated that he had struck a deal with Conje’s family to fly her to the capital for treatment.

“I’ve talked to the family and we have agreed I go pick her tomorrow in kisumu and take her to the Best Rehab/mental in Kenya.. As NACADA We will take care of her ???,” wrote Chipukeezy.

Impasse resolved

On Friday November 2nd, the two teams met at Kisumu airport and they both wanted to take Conje to Nairobi. The stalemate was resolved after Chipukeezy backed down and allowed Team Sonko to fly Conje to the capital.

“It is unfortunate that Sonko also had a plan to take her, but we are all in government so we hope he (Sonko) will take her to the rehabilitation centre proposed by NACADA because we understand it better,” said Chipukeezy will addressing the press at Kisumu airport.

“DP Ruto’s Weston Hotel will not be spared in the ongoing demolition exercise” Sonko assures Kenyans

Economist David Ndii on Monday August 13th called on president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure Weston Hotel which is linked to deputy president William Ruto is demolished to get back grabbed public land.

Ndii also stressed that Taj Mall (now Airgate center) should also demolished just like Southend Mall and Ukay Centre since it’s also built on road reserve.

They will all be demolished

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday August 14th assured Kenyans that all buildings built on grabbed public land and riparian land will all be demolished.

Sonko also fired shots at Ferdinand Waititu who called on the demolition exercise in Nairobi to stop. The Kiambu governor sensationally stated the owners of buildings built on riparian land should be made to divert the rivers at their own cost.

“Kama watu wanasupport ubomoaji, mimi hapana support. Mambo iangaliwe kama kuna nyumba yako imekaribiana na mto, wewe uambiwe ni gharama yako kuhakikisha hiyo mto imesonga kidogo. Lakini kubomoa nyumba is not a solution. Honestly speaking. It’s such a big loss,” said Waititu on Sunday during a church service in Kikuyu constituency.

Sonko told Waititu to concentrate on his county of Kiambu and stop meddling in Nairobi affairs;

“My good friend and colleague should concentrate on his county. He should know we don’t mix friendship with work. Even Weston; My Buru buru Casurina cocobeach plot; Taj mall and many other buildings shall not be spared if found to be on riparian or public land.
OR May be he does not know what is the definition of a Riparian land and that’s why even in campus he was copying me during CATS. Infact he needs to tell us the status of a petrol station constructed on a grabbed public access at the junction of mihango and Njiru,” wrote Mike Sonko on Facebook.
