Her name is Minne Kariuki and you’ve seen her on the hit Citizen TV show, Tabasamu, been a presenter on K24’s dance show, Katika Show but her more notable role was as Crystal on Maepress, a show that ran on Maisha Magic.
But that’s probably because you’re a Kenyan who consumes Kenyan content. She, however, has introduced herself to the continental stage after she took part in the #MamaAfricaChallenge in collaboration with African Fabric and Design.
The challenge saw her put on a show of outfits from across various different African nationalities and cultures including Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Uganda, Ethipoia, South Africa, Rwanda, Ghana and Mali.
Well, how does Yemi Alade come into all this? Well apart from the celebration of the beautiful articles of clothing from across Africa, Minne decided to play Yemi Alade’s song Africa which also features Kenyan greats, Sauti Sol.
The video gained a lot of traction katika mtandao and eventually, not even Yemi Alade could ignore it. Actually, she was blown away by it. She reposted it to her 15 million fans as a celebration she was glad to be a part of.
So what does Minne Kariuki busy herself when she is not taking part in her passion -acting? Well, she is an entrepreneur who runs a digital fashion store, modelling for her store and being a busy, committed wife and mother.
