Residents beat up two intoxicated men for kissing at Naivasha bar.

Residents of Naivasha witnessed a peculiar incident when two men were discovered engaging in intimate activities at a local bar, sparking anger among onlookers. The situation escalated as outraged members of the public attacked and seriously injured one of the men before others intervened.

The drama unfolded on a Tuesday evening when the duo, enjoying their drinks, began engaging in intimate behavior, much to the disapproval of fellow patrons. Witness Paul Mwaura revealed that the spectators became increasingly angry as the two continued their actions.

According to Mwaura, tensions reached a breaking point when one of the men started undressing his partner, prompting the onlookers to step in. The irate crowd ejected the two men from the bar and subjected them to a severe beating.

Mwaura further noted a recent increase in LGBTQ couples in the town, often utilizing Airbnb accommodations. He mentioned that one of the suspects involved was married, leaving residents grappling with the rising incidents.

A senior police officer, requesting anonymity, stated that the matter had not been reported to the Naivasha police station. Kenya has witnessed cases where LGBTQ individuals face assault and, at times, fatal violence due to their sexual orientation.

Man from Naivasha self deletes after being stuck with Ksh 500,000 debt

The suicide of a middle-aged man over a loan of Sh500,000 left inhabitants of Karati village in Naivasha grappling with his death yesterday.

He was found hanging from a tree, dead. According to reports, the deceased was forced into providing a guarantee for a coworker who eventually left without paying back the money.

The Sacco employee said in his suicide note that he was unable to return the loan because it had not helped him.

This happened as there were 15 suicides in and around the lakeside town, the most of which were men.

The man disappeared from his place of employment last week, according to local elder Isaac Ngure, despite efforts to find him.

He said that the body and the suicide note, both of which were found in a thicket, were discovered by members of the public.

“The man in the note claimed to have been duped to act as a guarantor for a loan before the beneficiary went missing leaving him to pay the entire amount,” Ngure said on Tuesday.

In the meantime, the villagers of the nearby Nyamathi hamlet were horrified to find a man’s horrifically decayed body locked inside his home.

Authorities looked for the farmer’s family members after finding the deceased imprisoned inside the house but were unsure of the cause of death.

A relative who declined to be named said the dead was last seen a week before members of the public arrived at the scene.

“The house had been locked from the outside, and we believe there has been malicious activity. The relative stated, “We’re hoping the police can assist us find the truth.

Naivasha OCP Benjamin Boen confirmed both occurrences. The dead, according to him, had been taken to the mortuary at the Naivasha sub-county hospital and the inquest papers had been opened.
