The jam has been getting a lot of airplay since it was released a few days ago and their fans can not stop listening to it because it’s a masterpiece.

If you enjoy Swahili rap, like yours truly, then I am sure you’ll love this track. The artists who were featured in it were well-thought out. They are some of the best singers and/or rappers in Tanzania and they aced it.

Stamina

Take for instance Stamina who is on the first verse of Achia Remix. This lad, who is one half the hip hop duo Rostam, has an impeccable flow and his job is to make sure you are hooked from the moment you hit the play button.

His ability to play around with words and make rhymes is unmatched. To add to that, after listening to his verse I am sure you will agree with me he has great punchlines too.

As expected, Nay Wa Mitego also killed it. He brought his A-game and to be honest, I was not expecting anything less from him. His flow is really dope and he makes it look so effortless.

YJ came through on the hook. Admittedly, if you look at him, you can easily dismiss him but believe you me, this guy can really sing and it goes to show that you should not judge a book by it’s cover.

Nay Wa Mitego

The beat by Mr T Touch is also sick. Apart from the fact that it is danceable, it also blends well with the diverse styles of the artists who are featured in this jam.

The video for this track is crisp. Although it was shot at night, it has some great scenes and if you ask me, I know you won’t, the director should get a pat on the back for the beautiful execution and flawless scene transitioning.

Nay Wa Mitego is back with a new jam ‘Mungu Anakuona’ and it’s worth your time (Video)

Tanzanian rapper Emmanuel Elibariki, popularly known as Nay Wa Mitego, has dropped a new jam and we’re really feeling it.

The song dubbed Mungu Anakuona, which translates to ‘God is watching you’, talks about the evil deeds that people engage in without thinking about the repercussions.

Some of the deeds mentioned include; adultery, battery, lying, sorcery, abortion, going to church to look for women, gossiping, hypocrisy, just to name a few.

In the song, Nay Wa Mitego discourages these acts because you will have to answer to God for the things that you do in the cover of darkness or when no one is watching.

I love this jam. Apart from the powerful message that it carries, you’ll agree with me that it is well arranged and you just want to keep listening to it. Actually, it’s a good example of inauma but itabidi uzoee. I digress.

Nay Wa Mitego’s lyricism is on point. Although this song would be deemed as serious because of the message that it carries, you’ll still enjoy the rhymes and punchlines in it.

The beat, which was produced by the one and only Gachi B, is also commendable. I kept dancing on the seat as I was writing this and you can’t even blame me. If I was asked to rate this jam, I would give it a 9 out of 10.

Nay Wa Mitego is back with a new jam dubbed ‘Vua Nguo’ and we love it (Video)

Tanzanian rapper Emmanuel Elibariki, better known as Nay wa Mitego, has dropped an new joint and we really love it.

The song dubbed Vua Nguo, which is a Swahili for ‘take off your clothes’, has been receiving good airplay since it was released three weeks ago.

As you can tell from the title, this is not an ordinary jam. Put simply, you should expect some sexual innuendos since clothes are being taken off. If you are a prude, then this song is definitely not for you.

I really love this song. The more I listen to songs by Nay Wa Mitego is the more I appreciate his ingenuity. If you like Swahili rap, then you’ll agree with me that this song is a masterpiece.

Although I love this song, I say that I felt that the words “vua nguo” were over repeated. It almost seems like that’s all he is saying from the time the song begins to the time it ends.

That said, I know you will agree with me that Nay Wa Mitego had some dope verses. Actually, I found myself pausing the song to think about what he had said and that’s how you know it’s lit.

The audio and visuals were also dope. In my opinion both the producer and videographer did a good job, more so the latter since he blended the colours well in the video. Props to them.

Nay Wa Mitego denies bewitching fans after pouring water on them during performance

It seems everything these Tanzanian celebs do can be quickly translated to witchcraft.

We have seen several celebs from the country openly accuse each other of witchcraft before.

Diamond and Hamisa Mobetto have accused each other. Wema Sepetu, Ray C and many others have also been accused of using juju to win fans.

Artists Nay Wa Mitego recently had to deny that he used witchcraft on stage while performing after spraying water on his fans.

Ritual

The singer, who has been also named several times for using juju to make sure he doesn’t grow irrelevant, said that spraying water on his fans has been one of his rituals. He usually practices it to psyche up fans while performing.

“Jamani mimi sio mshirikina na wala siawahi kujihusisha na mambo hayo , yale majin ni ya kawaida tu na wala hayana madhara yoyote kwa mtu yoyote  kwani ninaweza kumpa mtu akanywa, mimi nimekuwa nikiyatumia tu kwa ajili kuwachangamsha mashabiki wangu.” he said
