Singer and entrepreneur Akothee has publicly criticized men she accuses of attempting to sabotage her relationship with her manager, Nelly Oaks.

In a candid Instagram post, the musician condemned male friends and associates who only reach out to her when she’s with Nelly.

Akothee asserted that these individuals have ulterior motives and are seeking to create discord in her life. She made it clear that she values her time with Nelly and doesn’t appreciate disruptions from others.

“There are some of my male associates who only call and text me when @nellyoaks is around, what are your intentions? Pepo chafu. Leave me alone and delete my number I am busy with @nellyoaks don’t call or text me please I have no time for sideshows.”

The mother of five urged these men to remove her contact information and refrain from contacting her, emphasizing her lack of interest in their advances. Earlier this month, Akothee addressed inquiries about her ex, Omosh, on Instagram, dismissing them by stating that Omosh was merely a video vixen for a music video they worked on.

She reiterated that Nelly Oaks is the one who holds her affection.

Singer Akothee has sparked rumors of a rekindled romance with her manager, Nelly Oaks, following her split from her husband, Denis Schweizer, in June 2023.

The music star and Nelly Oaks, who have been spending increasing amounts of time together, raised eyebrows during a recent live session on TikTok.

In one of the Live sessions, Nelly Oaks was seen in the kitchen preparing a special meal for Akothee, who interacted with fans from the living room.

During the launch of her daughter Vesha Okello’s new business venture, Chateau 254 Cellar & Gastro Club, Akothee openly praised Nelly Oaks, calling him the “man behind my brand” and emphasizing that he remains an integral part of her life.

“To me, Nelly will never be an ex. That’s all, allow me to dance,” Akothee declared, taking to the dance floor with Oaks and other celebrities present.

“He has a big heart, and handling me with all my drama is a huge task. Nelly is family, and we come from far away,” Akothee expressed.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Akothee maintains that Nelly Oaks is more than just a romantic partner, emphasizing the familial and supportive aspects of their relationship.

Kenyan singer Akothee has opened up about undergoing therapy for something that put her in a “very dangerous zone.” In a long Instagram post, she shared how she has been healing in private for the past two months.

Allow me thank everyone that prayed for me in silence, everyone that walked me through the journey, I have come out of a very dangerous Zone and I have been healing in private , I am on my 2nd month of therapy The trauma I went through after finding out the truth & some ugly stuff that left me shaking ,Went days without food & No sleep , questioning and answering myself , it has been very heavy.”

Akothee did not go into detail about what happened, but she did say that she was experiencing trauma, shaking, loss of appetite and sleep, panic attacks, and even lost motivation in doing things she loved to do.

“Some days, a night will just break into a day with me looking outside the window guessing at nothing 🤔, I would be shaking for reasons I can’t explain, and just remember,I still had work to do, A family and an empire to protect . I still had to put on a strong Face and entertain my fans 🙏. .I thank All my close friends , Family especially my Children, my mom Beatrice Schnelli-Okello & my best friend Nellyoaks, PLO, Vj Adams.”

She also shared how her children and friends have been her support system during this difficult time. She thanked them for being “part of my strength” and for helping her get through this.

Akothee ended her post by asking for privacy and prayers. She said that she will share more about her healing journey once she is ready.

“For being part of my strength. I would not have done it without you 💪. Nellyoaks has been on speed dial he would call me nonstop and would panic when my phone went off , my children equally especially the girls made sure we had a face timer just to check if I am okey 🙏 Rue Followed me to Europe in fear of Losing me , baby sitted me until I could stand on my feet 💪.”

Nelly Oaks, Akothee’s manager, celebrated her after her message. He shared a photo of her on his Instagram page and wrote, “I’m so proud of the woman you are. You’re an inspiration to us all.”

Akothee, a well-known stage name for Kenyan singer Esther Akoth, has said that her manager Nelly Oaks, who was once her lover, will always be a part of her family.

During the opening of her daughter Vesha Okello’s new company, Chateau 254 Cellar & Gastro Club, Akothee spoke with Nairobi News and praised Nelly Oaks.

“To me, Nelly will never be an ex. That’s all, allow me to dance,”

As she joined Oaks and other celebs on the dance floor, Akothee said,

The man behind my brand, my best friend. He has a big heart, and handling me with all my drama is a huge task. Nelly is family, and we come from far. His grandfather left a legacy in my community.”

Akothee expressed her sincere gratitude to Oaks for his everlasting support and dedication to her family in her address.

“When you see Nelly around me, I don’t care what you want to think. He takes care of my children and goes out with them.”

Vesha began a new chapter as she began her entrepreneurial adventure with the event, which was attended by a number of celebrities and well-wishers.

Even after their romantic connection ended, Akothee and Oaks have continued to share a close relationship and friendship.

In addition to sharing her personal experience of parenting her children by herself, Akothee gave advice to single mothers at the occasion.

“You don’t become a single mother by choice. My children understood the assignment and decided to play a child’s role. Being a single mother, you make decisions by yourself, ask yourself questions, call yourself a board meeting leading everything.”

Akothee is finally married and on her honeymoon with her latest mzungu husband but it hasn’t escaped our attention that she is quite the prolific serial monogamist. She has been involved in several relationships as well as 4 marriages.

She has 5 children by nearly as many men (the exact number is 3 different men) and while those relationships ended with some being an acrimonious end, she still has a great relationship with one of her mzungu baby daddies.

Akothee has finally addressed those concerned about the age difference between her manager and her. The mother of five asserts that Nelly Oaks is not as young as people portray him.

Akothee loves to give contracting statements about her love affair with her manager Nelly Oaks. The singer insisted that she was not even dating her manager during an interview with Word Is.

She was asked whether she was concerned about the age difference between Nelly and her and she ended up saying they were not even dating but rather ‘giving the public what they want to see’.

“Who told you he is young? Furthermore, we are not dating. We are just friends but our fans pushed us to say we are dating. We are not really dating. Maybe I do not know the meaning of dating but for us, we are just pals. Just because people see us walking and working together does not mean we are dating. We are business partners,” said Akothee.

More contradictions

The mother of five further stated that she would say yes if Nelly Oaks asks for her hand in marriage. Akothee however says she will not push Nelly Oaks into proposing to her.

“He has not proposed to me, therefore I am not going to get into his plans. Maybe he has no plans for me. However, he is a good guy and if he proposes to me, why not marry him?” Said Akothee.

 

 

 

Akothee’s sweetheart Nelson Oyugi aka Nelly Oaks has hinted that the singer might be pregnant. Akothee was recently admitted to hospital after she suffered from fatigue.

Nelly Oaks’ post on social media suggested that Akothee could be pregnant. He talked about their baby being cute (Akothee and Nelly Oaks don’t have a child together yet.)

Akothee and her baby daddy are embroiled in a bitter fight over custody of their son. The singer’s boyfriend-cum-manager has assured her of his support in this trying time.

Akothee fell out with her baby daddy after she started dating Nelly Oaks. Ojwang’s father attempted to take his son away after Akothee and Nelly Oaks became serious about their relationship.

The baby daddy now wants full custody of his son. Akothee says Ojwang’s father wants to take his son away because he claims that his son is now living with a stranger (Nelly Oaks) at his mum’s house.

Nelly Oaks has stepped forth to assure Akothee of her full support in custody battle with her baby daddy. The manager encourages Akothee saying that he has seen her in much worse situations than this.

The ‘Tucheze’ singer was on a tour of Europe where she performed at various cities including Zurich and Berlin.
