Blessings galore! Sinach fetaures Ada in new song “Fix my eyes on you”

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ this year, the only thing we can do is pray for grace. In essence, Nigeria’s Sinach and Ada have teamed up for “Fix my eyes on You.”

“Fix my Eyes on You” is a tune that reminds Christians to not forget their hope in the Lord.

Lyrics

Done purely in English, the vocal blend of the two is breath-taking. Sinach and Ada take turns to bring our hearts closer to God.

All my hope is found in you, I’ve found in you ,There’s no fear, There’s no doubt

The one who walked on water holds my hand, You who began this good work in me you are able

You perfect it all, You make all things new, Like only you can

This a reminder that we need to fix our eyes on the Lord because with him all things are possible.

“Fix my eyes on You” song serves as a beacon of hope in these trying times when the world is dealing with the covid 19 pandemic.

This song comes barely a week after Sinach released ‘All things are ready’.

Unlike most artists who take a break after having a baby, the award- winning artist seemingly has chosen differently.

Talk of that heavenly feeling, these two give us a reason to go to church! Oow no more church till further notice. However, the song is a reminder that Jesus is omnipresent.

Further the Waymaker hit-maker also has other songs such as Ommema,  He did it again, Give Thanks, The name of Jesus, Stand amazed, An overflow and rejoice.

Ada Ehi, International singer and song writer is popularly known for her song Only you Jesus. Other songs she’s done include I Overcame, Jesus (You are able), the Final Say, I testify, Cheta, On my matter, I have confidence in you Jesus, I’M A Miracle and Beautiful among many others.

The hundreds of comments on YouTube are indication enough of how blessed their fans are to receive this tune.

“Redemption” by Runtown is a banger and we love it(Video)

After 5 months of waiting and almost losing hope, Runtown has released the official video of “Redemption.” The Nigerian song writer who possesses amazing vocal prowess has however been underrated so far.  Runtown seems to have walked in the shadows of a few big names in the industry.

What people haven’t realized yet is the huge potential carried by Runtown. Only listeners with the ear for good music appreciate his talent. Nigerians seem to highly value songs which are vigorous and can be danced to.

Runtown however walks a different path with the grace and finesse possessed by just a few. He has been in the industry for years and has done songs such as International Birdman Killer, Mad over You, Energy and Emotions.

Runtown of Redemption

Despite not being celebrated as much, he has gathered a good number of fans who have been waiting eagerly for this video.

Video

Set in vast, plush and serene fields: the video is exotic and depicts much affluence. The horse and doves involved compliment the exotic ambiance intended for the song. The sense of fashion in the video is also worth mentioning besides the two dancers whose dance choreography is spot on.

It is also worth mentioning that the lack of nudes, or scenes with drugs does not take away the beauty of the video in anyway. The fans are treated to pure talent and natural beauty in its authenticity.

Lyrics

“I swear you do not know what you do to me

Dangerous what you do to me

You go give me hypertension oh,”

Oh baby this is my confession oh

Give you love na my intention oh

Baby show my ride for me

She be my redemption”

Nothing ever goes wrong with a love song. If the lyrics are well arranged as in this song: except for the accent interfering, Runtown will end up in love.

It’s a laid-back song, easy smooth beats and quite calming and therapeutic.

Rayvanny wooing the West as he teams up with Nigerian rapper Phyno for new jam “Slow”

Rayvanny seems to be on a “woeing” mission in the Western Part of Africa. This time he has teamed up with one of Nigeria’s biggest Rapper Phyno to bring you their latest jam ‘Slow’.

In what looks like a praise to the African woman Rayvanny has incorporated the Swahili language. To many it may seem like an urge to reach every audience in the continent but he is keen to keep his roots intact.

Phyno on his part used his baritone voice to bring out the musicality in the song.

Slow

This is a feel good love song. A son g that has man in love and only thing he can do is appreciate his  woman using his lyrics.

Rayvanny of "slow"

In the beginning  Rayvanny starts off with a description of why he loves his woman.

He says, “You got the power in the beauty Quality, unarembua au makengeza Vicheche namba nishadelete  Kibinti, fujo mi sikuziweza….’

In other words, he won’t let go of her no matter what.

Of course with incorporation of metaphors in the Swahili lyrics. That I must say is another beauty in Rayvanny’s music.

As the song goes on, he keeps telling the girl about his love and how he loves it when she dances and whines her waist thus,You kill me Slow slow slow slow down My beiby taratibu nyonga kidogo.

Later in the song, Phyno inputs his voice of course with pidgin there that we couldn’t translate either but worked for the song.

Video Production

The blend of Afro-fusion in the video is what sells this song most. Use of vixens dancing in ankara was beautifully done. The photo  studio set up was also well done.

I mean African clothing are just magical.

The song was done by the ever magical Wasafi man Lizer Classic  and S2Kizzy. The visuals done by Mr. C.

Flipside

However, for as much as Rayvanny is still on the hunt for audience in the West, this jam was way below his standards. He does much better even on rap. Well that is just what I think.

For rating I will go with  a 6/10.Tell us what you think.
