“I’d like to appeal to the president to consider artistes who have not been having shows since COVID-19 began,” he remarked.

When the first case of Coronavirus was announced on March 13, 2020, the government put in place many measures to stop the spread of the deadly virus that originated in China.

Some of the measures included, restricting international travel, asking citizens to wear masks, banning large public gatherings and ordering the closure of pubs and entertainment joints.

The last two have really hurt the entertainment industry since most artists rely on doing shows to afford their basic needs.

Gengetone Festival CEO Mtetei Mtetezi was among those who were affected by the move by the government to ban public gatherings since he had to postpone a mega event that was to go down on April 10, 2020.

The function, which was to be held at Machakos People’s Park, had a star studded line up including the likes of Jua Cali, Sailors, Ethic, Boondocks Gang, Zzero Sufuri, just to name a few. Willis Raburu was to emcee the gig.

Mtetezi joins a long list of public figures who have urged the president to lift the bans. A fortnight ago, Khaligraph Jones penned down a letter to Uhuru informing him how artists are suffering.

City pastor Lucy Ngunjiri denies she’s having an affair with Mike Sonko: My husband isn’t mad

City evangelist and a media personality Lucy Wa Ngunjiri has refuted allegations she is dating Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

The popular pastor who has a huge following from Mt Kenya region and is a good friend to Uhuru Kenyatta, said that certain people are after tarnishing her name.

Other than being a pastor, Wa Ngunjiri is also a gospel presenter at Kameme Fm(19 years) and founder of Prayer Beyond Boundaries (PBB) situated in Ngara. She said that fraudster were impersonating her to con her followers.

“How on earth can a person accuse me of such acts, my husband isn’t mad and my family is intact, I am a preacher and my husband is a strong pillar in my ministry and those trying to bring my ministry down by propagating falsehood are defeated in Jesus name,” she said.

A lady called Joyce Wairimu blew everything up when she emailed PBB Ministries requesting to know about the money she had been sending to Wangunjiri, her husband and Governor Sonko. Joyce had sent over Ksh 1 million so far.

“Whenever I would fail to send money, a man purporting to be governor Sonko would send me images of dead people with threatening message to kill my entire family, I had no option but to send,” Joyce claimed.

Threats

They all received over Ksh 1 million and whenever she could fail to send cash, her mother and brother would be threatened by ‘Sonko’ and so Joyce kept on sending the cash which she was told was meant to help Wangunjiri’s family.

Wangunjiri later realized that, Joyce’s brother was now planning to hire a gunman or do anything to eliminate her as she had brought sorrow and agony in their lives.

President Uhuru’s relative hits P unit member’s car and refuses to pay, exchange blows

A third of popular music group P unit, Bon-eye, was recently forced to pull his sleeves up and attack a man who had hit his car and then went on to flatly deny paying for the damages because he’s related to president Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to The Star Newspaper, Bon-eye was at a restaurant along Kiambu Road and a cousin to Kiambu Woman Rep Nyokabi Gathecha(who is relative to Uhuru), identified as Joe Nyaga, drove in the joint and hit his Volvo 4×4 with his Toyota Ipsum then refused to pay.

“I was seated inside the restaurant when a taxi guy came and informed me that someone had hit my car. I exited to check and found that it was true. When I requested the individual [Joe] for us to have an agreement on how best he will compensate he refused,”  Bon-Eye said.

Refused to share his name and details

Bon-Eye went on to add that Nyaga totally refused to share his details insisting that the singer should first know who he was dealing with.  He pulled rank and asked Bon-Eye, “Do you know who I am?” which led to a shouting match that later turned physical.

In the end, Bon-Eye overpowered him, forced him to give him his details and agree to pay for the damages.

“I expect him to cover the costs of the repair. I will take my car to my mechanic and send him the bill,” the musician said.

“You only remember God when things are tough in our nation!” Popular pastor tells President Uhuru

Before the 2017 elections held in August, popular pastor Godfrey Migwis says he saw very many politicians turn to God.

In his statement that has left Kenyans pointing fingers at the president. He says that president Uhuru Kenyatta called out for a national prayer day to ask God to intervene in our times of need; but even after giving Kenyans a peaceful election time both in August and November, no one has remembered to give thanks.

He challenges the president to set aside a special day where Kenyans will come together for a thanks giving prayer day.

This is because he feels that a simple thank you matters more than the Euro Bond and CS’s issues that have taken centre stage. He wrote saying;

Do you agree?

Witchcraft? City pastor makes heart felt prayer to President Uhuru as he reveals how black magic is being used to finish him

City pastor Godfrey Migwi must be on a roll judging from his recent posts on Facebook. He seems to be very keen with politics and all that has been has been happening in the country.

A few hours ago he shared a post that has left Kenyans on his Facebook talking as he claims that president Uhuru is apparently being brought down using black magic.

In his post he prayers against the witchcraft targeting the president and asks Kenyans to join him in prayers since that is the only thing that can save the president and his ministers.

This is however not the first time he has shown his concern towards President Uhuru Kenyatta. Before the general elections he predicted that Uhuru would win with 55% of the votes, something that came to pass.

But for now he seems convinced that Kenya needs prayers as a Nation hoping that the powers of black magic will not harm the sitting president.

He wrote saying;

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade involved in an accident in Nyamira

It is reported that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade has been involved in an accident.

Four people have been injured after vehicle in motorcade hit a Nyamira matatu.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee team are in Kisii, Bomet and Kakamega areas for campaigns.

During the campaign,President Uhuru Kenyatta said he is confident of winning the August 8 polls with an overwhelming majority because he enjoys more support than he did in 2013 when he defeated his rival with more than 800,000 votes.

The President said he won the 2013 election while he was burdened with false accusations at the International Criminal Court and was literally in the wilderness.

He said the opposition knows it will lose the election and that is why they were busy creating excuses including their outrageous claims against the country’s security forces.

The President, who spoke at a rally at the Gusii Stadium, Kisii town, said the opposition lacks vision and has no plans to build on the progress Kenya has achieved.

“If they had a plan they would not be engaging in insults,” said the President, as he made it clear that the opposition should know that it cannot intimidate anyone with the constant threats of chaos.

He told opposition candidate Raila Odinga to stop his attacks on Acting Internal Security Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

The President said Raila should know that Matiang’i is in charge of the country’s security.

He said the opposition was engaging in divisive politics instead of presenting an agenda that can bring progress and unity.

“They come with different messages designed to incite Kenyans. When they come to Kisii they tell you a message to incite you, when they go to another place they say some communities should be moved,” said the President.

President Uhuru Kenyatta narrates his never heard before love story of how he met his wife

Apparently the president revealed that Margret’s younger brother was the one who introduced him the two of them and that is how they both fell in love and settled down to start a family together. He said,

“Her brother was my friend in high school. Through him, I managed to meet his younger sister and we started off a relationship that has lasted from High school till now, and I’m thankful to God for that.”

He went on to add that some of the partners we meet now might be the people we spend our forever with.

“Who you meet today as a friend and a partner may be your First Lady tomorrow. The girl I met in High School is the First Lady…(laughs)”
