Ali Kiba’s boys bring us new jam ‘Rhumba” and we love it

Eight months ago,King Kiba  launched his boys in the banger ‘mwambie sina”.  The team includes his Cheed,Killy X and k-2GA. From then  we knew we had a new team to fall in love  with.

Months later we have every reason to appreciate East African Music with these boys.

They have have teamed up with Ali’s brother  Abdu Kiba  to bring you “Rhumba”.

Lyrical Breakdown

Tanzanian artists know what music is all about when it comes to lyrics. Rhumba is a your everyday typical love song, but the artistry in it is what make it stand out.

I would not know what influenced the title to the song but the vibe gives it away.

The song starts off with Cheed’s verse, the soulful guy makes everything exiting.

Mtoto mwendo wa jongoo

Taratibu ukitembea

Na hili joto la bongo ooh

24 nitakupepea

Langu ua chanua aah Maji nitakumwagilia aah

Twacheza kidedea kidedea Mabusu mpaka twalala
In the verse the man is just showering his woman with all kinds of flattery.Telling her how beautiful she is. Once again ladies, its all about you. Mmmmhh!

Bridge and Chorus

Mi kwako koroma

koroma Koroma(zezeta)

Koroma koroma Koroma(umeniweza)…….

The bridge itself is is beautifully done and the Swahili too is top notch.Am sure you just like me are wondering what this word ‘zezeta’ means.Beacause  its not the first time to here of it.

Well Zezeta means Chizi.Yeah?

The Chorus carries the weight of the song’s title…..Baby tucheze rhumba kidogo…… Basically just asking the woman for a dance. It goes on repetitive mode like four or more times.

The chorus was majorly done by Abdu Kiba no wonder the blend of tune.

Further…

Killy X and k-2GA spice up the song following with their verses that are boggling. They say that they are now set for marriage.

To haters they can go to hell as for their love has thrived through all of life’s obstacles.

…..Wenye choko choko Na vijicho chongo Tuwafungie vioo…… mshasutwa sasa!!!

The man goes to appreciate his love saying,Umenionyesha upendo  Hata kinyongo sina Ni mkufunzi wa mengi Wastahiki tuzo heshima. Point home?

Sauti Sol is back with a Rhumba vibe banger Dubbed ‘Extravanganza'(video)

Sauti Sol is an award-winning afro pop group in Kenya that has hoisted the Kenyan flag high when it comes to great music.Today, they have released a huge banger dubbed Extravanganza.

In the song they feature big artists including Ben Soul, Sauti Sol, Nvrii the storyteller, Crystal Asige and Kaskazini.

Basically a sol generation production.

Extravaganza

The jam has the Rhumba vibe in it not forgetting the lesson filled lines that give you every reason to put it on repeat.

From the release the song sends the taunt of being the best song this year.

Clearly it is a feel good song despite having scenes that seem too crowded. But still the message about confidence is rather clear.

The lyrics in the song are well put trying to emphasize on how being at the top is an uphill task thus have to work extra harder to maintain the kings title.

The lyrical prowess depicted in Extravaganza  tells you the effort put in making of this jam.

Largely  it is influenced by Afro, Soul and  a bit of Funk.

Further the song calls out several vices like theft, which the say has its consequences and very brutal.

Another is calling out on married couples to be faithful to each other.

‘……bibi ya wenyewe is a no go zone, kabla ukute vitu piga protection…..” You have been warned.

Extravaganza is all about fun.

Star fetched artists

The Sol Generation  label has been on the good side of helping other artists grow.

With the  likes of Bensol, Nviiri the storyteller and Crystal Asige  you would not want to miss this jam.

Bensol is known to be a good writer and do not forget his musical mastery of art you will surely love his lines in the song.

Nviiri the story teller in his part he did justice to his verse. He is said to have written some songs for this big boy band Sauti Sol.

It was about time that he joined the team and put his vocals to use too.

Crystal Asige’s involvement in this project gives you the excitement.

Being a creative art lover you’d think she was the creator of this whole project .In whatever way you just got to love her.

Kaskazini is an urban trio that clearly vibe to jam and putting in their verse also pushes the Extravaganza love.

 Musical Chemistry

As you watch the video you realize that the chemistry in the song is what makes it worth your time and effort.

For that the Sol generation production has proven that music is all about team work.

Further, we can  not miss  Fancy Fingers’ dance with the instruments.Classical!

Just as they quoted on Youtube,

“Ladies and gentlemen of the world, we’re live! Please share with all your friends, bosses, uncles, aunties, exes, suga mamas and suga daddies. Rhumba imetamba kila corner”

For rating I go for a 9/10.It deserves the attention.Tell us what you think.

The Central Organization of Trade Union (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli is excited over labor day celebrations that will be held on May 1. He plans to have fun since respected Rhumba artist, Nyboma Mwan’dido, will be in town and will grace the celebrations at Uhuru Park Grounds.

The boss shared that he’s super excited and want his wife to be present for the event. But in case she doesn’t, he won’t sit back and watch others enjoy the night. He’ll get another woman to enjoy the night with.

“It will not be a joke. I will be there literally dancing, and if possible I am going to convince madam to be with me on that particular day. If she sleeps, I will get somebody to take over on that day,” Atwoli vowed.
