Rose Muhando Responds To Conning Accusations By Kenyan Gospel Artist

Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando has addressed recent accusations of non-performance and deception made by Kenyan artist Ali Mukhwana. Mukhwana alleged that Muhando had double-booked herself for events, pocketing payment without fulfilling her obligations.

According to Mukhwana, he and several other clergy members had booked Muhando for a crusade, paying a total of Kshs 250,000 for the performance and booking fee. However, they later discovered through posters circulated online that she had booked other shows on the same date.

Mukhwana confronted Muhando about the conflicting schedules. While initially unconvinced, he eventually accepted her explanation that the additional posters were fraudulent attempts to capitalize on her image.

Despite this, Mukhwana remains upset and wary, expressing concern for other potential victims.

“I would like to warn other gospel artists and pastors not to pay her any money until they see her at their event,” he cautioned.

Rose Muhando has yet to issue a formal statement addressing these accusations directly. However, she has publicly denounced con artists exploiting her reputation and vowed to take legal action against them.

The situation has sparked controversy within the Kenyan and Tanzanian gospel communities, raising questions about artist professionalism and ethical conduct. While the truth remains unclear, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of due diligence and transparency in managing artist bookings and payments.

Rose Muhando responds to allegations she conned Kenyans

Tanzanian gospel star Rose Muhando has spoken out against rumors that she failed to fulfill a concert engagement and pocketed a Sh200,000 payment for the canceled performance.

Taking to her Instagram account, the “Nibebe” hitmaker addressed the allegations, urging those with concerns to seek recourse through legal channels rather than resorting to social media accusations.

Muhando acknowledged the challenges faced by public figures and cautioned against readily believing everything one hears about someone. She emphasized her ongoing commitments in Nairobi and suggested that any grievances be addressed through proper legal channels.

The singer also shed light on the often-undiscussed challenges musicians face in their line of work, noting that they, too, experience persecution.

“When you are a public figure, many things will come your way, and you will be accused of many things. Do not easily believe everything you hear about someone,” she stated.

Muhando continued, “In short, I am here in Nairobi, continuing with my meetings. If you have any claims, there are legal channels. We, as musicians, have never come out publicly to speak about the challenges we face in our services.”

She highlighted that musicians often face persecution and work closely with religious leaders, implying that such persecution can originate from within the religious community.

“We, too, face persecution, and a significant percentage of us work closely with religious leaders. Therefore, if we are persecuted, it means we are persecuted by these religious leaders, but we do not complain. Now, I would like to stop here for what is ongoing,” she concluded.

The controversy arose on December 4 when gospel singer Ali Mukhwana accused Muhando of defrauding him of Sh200,000 after agreeing to perform at a crusade.

Mukhwana alleged that Muhando accepted the payment but failed to show up for the event, citing illness as an excuse. He further claimed that Muhando had committed to attending five other crusades on the same date, indicating a pattern of deceptive behavior.

Disappointed by Muhando’s actions, Mukhwana warned others against engaging her for their events, labeling her as dishonest.

Muhando’s response to the allegations underscores the importance of due diligence and the need to address grievances through appropriate channels. While social media can serve as a platform for voicing concerns, it should not replace the pursuit of legal recourse when warranted.

“He put a gun in my 5 year old mouth” Rose Muhando opens up about abusive manager

Rose Muhando has seen it all. From being bewitched to being accused of using drugs and through it all; none of her so called loyal fans nor sponsors showed interest in finding out what was happening to her.

People spoke a lot, they said I was taking drugs. I wondered because I don’t even know how drugs look like, what colour they are, even my doctor was very surprised because those rumours really went viral.

Rose Muhando opens up about experience with greedy manager

However speaking during a recent interview with Wasafi FM, the gospel singer opened up to reveal what really happened to her back in 2010; a time she could have made a name for herself and good money – thanks to her gospel hit songs such as Nibebe that gained recognition in East Africa.

During the interview, Rose Muhando went on to reveal that her career was ruined by her manager; a man of God who had taken it upon himself to manage the singer.

However what Rose did not know is that she had walked into an opportunist trap; but later on she learnt the hard way.

Rose Muhando opens up about 2010 experience that ruined music career

The experience

According to Rose Muhando the guy managing her not only held her hostage for months; but threatened to kill both her and her kids if she did not give up the money she made through her Utamu wa yesu album.

The gospel singer narrated the torture she faced back then saying;

I was beaten up, my blood was flowing all over. The producers who were there witnessed everything. I went through a lot of challenges.

She went on to add;

They put a gun on my head, asking for TSh15 million. They told me to say my last prayers and I started praying. It was raining. It was in a forest. They warned me against reporting and told me they would kill me if I did.

5 year old tortured

Apart from her sister being dragged into the nasty experience; Rose Muhando went on to add that these thug managers put a gun inside her her 5 year old’s mouth – an experience that the small child will never forget.

After dealing with me, the manager rushed to my house where he found my sister, house manager and my 5 year old child. He then threatened them with a gun but for my they chose to place a gun in his mouth just to prove what they were capable of if we report them.

She however thanked her Kenyan family and fans for stepping in when everybody gave up on her; and now that she is slowly getting back to her old self – Muhando says she will make up for the lost time.

Why Rose Muhando has no plans of ever getting married!

Most young girls grow up imagining and planning a grand princess like wedding in future; but not Rose Muhando!

The gospel artist who is trying to get back into the music industry after a long personal break; recently held a candid interview with TVeTanzania where she opens up about her illness and marriage.

Rose Muhando

Being a mother of 3 Rose Muhando says she is grateful for the small family; but unlike most mums, she has no need to find a father figure for her children. According to Rose Muhando she decided this a long time ago and has never felt the need to change her ways.

Reveals why

According to Ms Muhando her career cannot allow her to handle a man the right way. She went on to blame her single life on her busy schedule that has her moving from one city to another – if not a country.

With such a schedule Muhando says she will not be able to satisfy some of her husbands needs; and for this reason has opted to live life as a single parent.

“I have never gotten married since I do not think I can live with a man and handle him well. I travel a lot and so my work cannot allow me to be with him always. Maybe I find one who is very understanding, but I am careful with my job and I protect it so much.”

From her photos it’s evident to see that time is no longer on her side; and if Rose Muhando ever changes her mind, then I guess she has few more years before she becomes a ‘senior senior.’

Mum Cherop

The underlying message is that Christians should dedicate their time to serving their creator and they’ll receive many blessings.

I really love this track. I know you must wondering whether I really mean it since I say this about all of the songs that I review but you see that’s the thing, I only review songs that I resonate with. Anyway, I digress.

Unstoppable is very catchy. I have listened to it a couple of times since it came out and to be honest, every time I play it, it’s like I’m hearing it for the very first time. Yup, it’s that good ladies and gentlemen.

Apart from the powerful message that it carries, you can’t fail to appreciate Mum Cherop and Rose Muhando’s lovely voices in this song. The former also threw in some Kalenjin words and really spiced it up.

Rose Muhando

These two women sing from the heart and maybe that is why I’ve been listening to this track on replay other than the powerful message that it carries of course.

The instrumentation is also on point and it blends well with the tempos of both singers. Notably, the video was great thanks to the well-choreographed dance moves and flawless scene transitioning.

Rose Muhando opens up about her kids and baby daddies!

Rose Muhando

Rose Muhando has had it since her video of exorcism at Pastor Ng’ang’as Church surfaced on social media a while back.

According to the lady the popular pastor had apparently invited her for prayers after learning about her illness. At that time Rose Muhando says that she had unbearable stomach pains which forced her to look for help anywhere.

Ng’ang’a with his wife

Speaking about this, the singer denied knowing anything about the exorcism since she blacked out moments after the pastor started praying for her.

Pastor Ng’ang’a invited me to his church and I reported a day earlier. On the day of the exorcism, I had a lot of pain in my stomach and he told me he would pray for me. I blacked out after the first three words and to date, I still cannot tell what happened.

Baby Daddies

Away from this, for those who don’t know… Rose Muhando is already a mother and from her recent confession; turns out that she has several baby daddies each with one child.

According to the lady, she chose to stay single because most of the men she has been with often leave her while she is pregnant or when the child is still quite young.

All my children are in school. All of them have different fathers because every one of them left me when I was either pregnant or when the child was young,

Rose Muhando’s “Yesu Karibu Kwangu” will take you back to church(Video)

While people were busy with “parte after parte after parte”, Rose Muhando dropped a new song- Yesu Karibu Kwangu. Muhando  who has in the recent past released two songs ;Seemingly has received a renewed sense of energy in the gospel industry.

The song that is 100% likely to be a worship anthem has been well received by the fans.

It is a simple worship song, full of emotions but ideal for a prayer session especially when one feels too overwhelmed to pray.

It is the kind of song that speaks what the heart is feeling.Rose has been keen to bring that out.

Video

It is set in a very arid-like place with some of the characters dressed and chained like real slaves while others the masters.

I must say the suffering looks so real; the pain, misery, oppression and suffering is so well written in the video.

It is such a sad song that one almost loses hope for the slaves but then in the last few seconds  a bright light from heaven appears to them. The 6 minute video looks just like a whole hour movie.

The make up artist does such a good job in terms of making the vixens and Muhando herself look the part.

Lyrics

The song done by Rose is simple and direct in terms of lyrics.

It’s the prayer of the Nibebe star, inviting Christ into her life to comfort her through her misery and to lift her burdens.

Mfariji Njoo

Mtetezi njoo

Mtoshelevu njoo

Baba yangu

It’s a prayerful cry with very little singing besides the chorus. The stanzas richly punctuated with the prayers of the Tanzanian artist. This makes this song ideal for a worship as you can easily customize the stanzas to fit in your personal prayers.

The background vocalists have done a splendid job as their sounds smoothly blend with the mood of the song.

I strongly advise that you grab a handkerchief before you watch it, especially if you know you are an emotional person.

“After watching Rose Muhando video clip that surfaced online I couldn’t hold back my tears. For a minute I thought I was watching a clip from horror film. Its was very sad. Unbelievable! Rose Muhando’s story is a great reflection of our lives as a society. Mental health is real and it needs to be addressed. Depression is real. All those small fights we have in our lives everyday if they are not watched they will lead to something worse without us realizing. Some of us are struggling with relationships, career problems, discouragement, marital problem, low self esteem, financial strains,” wrote Silas in part.

If Rose opened about her problem with her manager to Pastor Nganga or any other closer person she could have gotten help long time. she could not have lost the battle. She could have found help! But unfortunately she went silent.

From Celebrities to the house girls. Mental health is real. We all need to open and talk about it. Could you tell Rose was fighting a monster by looking at her perform at Groove award concerts? No.. My prayers and support goes to Rose Muhando.Lets pray for her instead of sitting down and judging her.We are all victims.”

Who is your supervisor? I should call him or her and ask him to drive sense into you. Why are you interested in a video that you don’t have any rights to?” said Ng’ang’a before hanging up.

Yes the police arrested me on Sunday, 4th June, but I wasn’t supposed to be the target. They were looking for a different lady whose name is Rose, which is similar to mine. The singer claims that the well-connected man of the cloth has been using the police to harass her and had even vowed to take away her cars and other valuables.

Amekuwa akinizushia maneno makali, wakati mwingine nashinda porini, nikitetea maisha yangu. Kiukweli nimechoka jamani, acheni nipumzike, lakini namuachia Mungu, mbingu zitafunguka.” Rose Muhando narrated her ordeal.
