Rosemary Odinga explains why she has replica of late Fidel Odinga’s skull in her living room

Fidel Odinga died on January 4th 2015. Rosemary Odinga decided to commemorate her late brother by putting a replica of his skull in her living room.

A replica of a human skull in a house may sound crazy to many people but it’s not strange in Mexico where Rosemary bought the idea from.

Speaking during an interview with Victoria Rubadiri, Rosemary explains that she was touched by the Mexican tradition of honoring the dead and she decided to buy a skull in honor of Fidel Odinga.

“There was a time I went to Mexico for a conference representing my party ODM. And it happened to be around the month of November. Then I found so many of these skulls all over and when I asked why they said November 2nd is known as the day of the dead,” said Rosemary Odinga in part.

Fidel’s birthday

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 2nd throughout Mexico in remembrance of friends and family members who have died.

Rosemary says that November 2nd is also Fidel Odinga’s birthday, she reveals that she decided to buy the skull in memory of her late brother. She put the skull in her living room so that Fidel could be with her all time.

“And so they have these skulls, where they light up these skulls with candles and they prey for all those who have departed on November 2nd. Incidentally November 2nd happens to be my late brother Fidel’s birthday, so I bought this skull in memory of my brother. And I put it here in my house so that I am with him everyday,” Rosemary explained to Victoria Rubadiri.

Raila’s daughter Rosemary Odinga: Am struggling to adapt to new changes, I lost my sight during my illness

Rosemary however bowed out of the race after she became sick and was forced to travel to South Africa for treatment. In April 2017, she appeared in a video explaining to her supporters why she withdraw her candidature.

Raila’s daughter suffered a mild stroke leading to her hospitalisation in South Africa in February 2017. She returned to the country in May last year.

Struggling to cope

On Tuesday Rosemary presided over an event at Raila Educational Centre in Kibera. She partnered with a Korean NGO to donate 60 sewing machines for vocational training in Kibra to help women hoping to join textile industry.

KOT reacts to PLO Lumumba’s outrageous message to Raila odinga’s daughter after she announced she had bowed out of Kibera race

Raila’s daughter Rosemary Odinga decided to bow out of the race for Kibera parliamentary seat following her doctor’s advice.

Rosemary travelled to South Africa to seek medical treatment after she was diagnosed with non cancerous tumor in her head.

“It is following my doctor’s advice, that for the time being, I will continue serving my community in other capacities and regrettably bow out of the race for Member of Parliament. I would like to thank each and every person that supported my bid and the people of Kibra for opening their hearts and homes to me. I will forever cherish your outpouring love and prayers,” Rosemary wrote in part while announcing about her decision to quit her quest to be MP for Kibera.

Rosemary’s announcement caused mouths to wag, some encouraged her saying that could join politics at a later stage.

PLO Lumumba was among Kenyans who sent out messages to Raila’s daughter, his message was however coded in jargon that only a few could understand.

“Good move by Rosemary Odinga. It would heve been imprimptic to grimple & frimple for the seat against assiduous & sedulous Ken Okoth,” PLO tweeted.

His tweet sparked excitement on Twitter; see the reaction from KOT below:

After finishing up with tyranny numbers, Mutahi Ngunyi declares who will be the first ever Kenyan Luo president and she’s actually female

Mutahi Ngunyi, Kenya’s political activist and rabble rouser is at it again after riding the high wave with his tyranny of numbers hypothesis.

This time his focus is on the Odingas and especially Rosemary Odinga.

As most of you are aware, Rosemary has bowed down from the Kibra race citing health concerns raised by her doctors.

In a statement that was shared across the board, she thanked Kenyans for the overwhelming support they accorded her during this trying time in her life and wished the other contestants the very best.

And it was after this statement that out of the blues, Mutahi Ngunyi came to congratulate her and in the same time prophesy that’s she’ll be the only Odinga who stands a chance at the presidency.

And it was through this tweet:

Mutahi Ngunyi

Before he went ahead to encourage her that she was suffering form was just a minor setback setting her up for greater prospects in the future.

Here, have a look:

Mutahi Ngunyi

Of course this didn’t augur well with Kenyans and especially Luo’s who branded him as a thief who should concentrate on “eating” his NYS loot.
