Defend what you love: Shilole’s new jam ” Sitaki Mazoea” is more of a warning to Rostam

Shilole aka Shishi has hit back at Rostam with her latest single, ‘Sitaki Mazoea.’

Shishi insists it was a warranted hit back since she has been in the middle of little scandals in the bongo music scene lately.

Her song is directed to Rostam after they called her unpleasant names and labelled her husband ‘kunguni’-bed bug -of all the names to give someone!Smh!

Sitaki Mazoea

Well, name-calling aside, Shishi has her ‘ngoma ya kibaddest out’- Sitaki Mazoea- and the battle is on as fans await the reaction of ROSTAM.

Shilole of Sitaki Mazoea

Call it shade or not am here waiting for the response from Rostam. She is demanding respect from Rostam.

However, some would say that she is really poking the beehive and they claim she might have just dug her musical grave.

But again the song  is more of a diss track and  has elicited various reactions from fans all over.

A good number of fans think it’s cool that she is trying out rap and hiphop genre.

Shishi also claims that she can do any kind of music as she is a good artist and is ready to prove her worth to the whole world.

There are fans who also feel that the song was done hurriedly under panic and pressure to hit back at Rostam.

They feel the song is rather short, without much content or message of poor quality and full of ‘mafeelings’.

Some of her fans feel however that she didn’t have to respond to the attack and instead should have focused on doing much better music.

Lyrics

The song basically is a tell-off to ROSTAM for the attack initiated on Shishi a while back.

There is a point where she says,
kinyimbo kimoja mnamuita bwanangu chawa ,Ama kweli maskini akipata pata
Makalio yake hulia mbwata mbwata,Ila ya kwenu yanalia parka tata…’

Eiiish, Si sorry. Shishi is on fire!!

Clearly she is defending her dear husband and asking for respect the hard way. Will Rostam bow or fight back?

Well it’s a wait and see. This woman is not backing out any time soon.So the Tanzanian scene has some new drama!!

Generally, the song can pass as a club hit if the feelings involved are set aside.
Rating 5/10

Rostam is at it again with a new banger ‘Kijiwe Nongwa’

Rostam is back with a new banger dubbed Kijiwa Nongwa. The talented singer features Nay Wa Mitego. Rostam is a combination of Roma and Stamina.

To  start with, we are used to a Tanzania where all artists in Bongo sing about love. Here is a rapper who will gladly change your opinion about music. Rostam’s work is well crafted. Ever heard of super lyrics? Well everything lies in his work.

Rostam are always giving out their best to their fans. Although they are not very famous, their songs got strong message. Firstly, we are going to look at some of the lines and get the meaning.

Message and relevance of ‘Kijiwe Nongwa’

Rostam is at it again with a new banger 'Kijiwe Nongwa'

For starters, stanza one sets the pace for the song. Alikuja kama masii tukamchangia sadaka Tukamwona nabii aliyeshushwa siku ya pasaka Tukamtolea na zaka ili kanisa lijengwe Eeh-eh na bado wakamlaza nabii kifo cha mende. Actually, you are going to notice a Biblical aspect in this verse. Pasaka which simply means Passover is a Biblical word.

To add on, lets get what is in stanza two; Hivi unamkumbuka babu? Babu wa Loliondo Ah-ah yule mfugaji mwenye bleach la kikogo Watu wamekufa, watu wamefungwa, watu wamepoteza biashara Sasa umekaribia uchaguzi amerudi chama tawala. Also you get that in this stanza they are talking about witchcraft and how it has left people dead and closing of businesses.

Thus with the issues articulated here, it is right to say that the song is relevant to today’s generation. Further into the song, I feel like he is targeting a certain group of musicians and leaders in Tanzania.

Have a look at this stanza; So soka la Bongo linakwama wapi? TFF maanake nini Tanzania Football Failure, ndo nacho jua mimi Unamfukuzaje Amunike ili udhaifu wenu umvuge Wakati mlimpeleka mlevi ye akacheze namba ya Mkude?

Timmy Tdat back with ‘Why Me?’ featuring Rostam and Ruby

Timmy Tdat is back with a new jam dubbed Why Me? In this jam he has brought on board Rostam and Ruby. This guy is working hard. This are some of the best talent and the only way to understand this is listening to Why Me.

Why Me is a jam that I’d say that talks about the tribulations of people from the less developed places. Timmy Tdat is one guy who never gets weary in pleasing his fans. This one of his best works I must say.

Also Why Me seems to have a strong message compared to his previous works. I know you’ll agree with me on this one. Looking at his previous work this one is a sure bet.

In every song that Timmy Tdat performs he does it with a lot vigor and energy. This is something that he is well known for. Congrats to him for this.

What is the relevance of ‘Why Me?

First it is always good to look at the relevance of the song. To start with, this song is relevant in today’s generation. Some of the things he talks about in this jam is what most people in the society go through. There is the question Why Me? Which in this case serves as the title of the song.

Timmy Tdat on Why Me?

In addition to the impressive message, the trio does not disappoint. Each and everyone of them performs their lines so well. Ruby with the Swahili verses breaks the monotony. This girl is just talented.

Also you will notice the creativity in the lyrics. The lines are so deep and they cut across a wide range of issues. Who would have thought Timmy can do something big like this?

In conclusion, Timmy Tdat, Rotsam and Ruby did a good job. The song Why Me gets a rating of 7/10.
