The jam dubbed Kilio has been getting a lot of airplay since it came out a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it or else we would not be reviewing it, would we. Okay maybe we would but I am sure that you get my point.

Ruby

Basically, this track is about a man and a lady who were deeply in love but somewhere along the way, things changed and he started mistreating and being disrespectful  towards her.

In the song, the Bongo singer says he often hides the house keys, physically assaults her and comes back home drunk on many occasions. As such, she is left with no option but to cry in pain.

Kilio is really infectious. Other than the powerful message that it carries, after listening to it I am sure you will agree with me that it is well-arranged.

Ruby

Ruby has an an amazing the kind that most of us would not mind listening to the whole day. As you listen to her, you get to connect with her on a more personal level because of the sincerity in her voice.

The beat and instrumentation are impeccable. I, however, feel that some people might not really like the mellowness but I feel it works.

I absolutely love the video for this jam. Everything about is on point. Some of the things that stood out for me are the dramatization, lighting, props, concept and the brilliant execution. I totally love it.

Watch Kilio below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

The song titled Naolewa, which is Swahili for I am getting married, tells the story of an unsatisfied girl who had been dismissed by many people claimed was not ready to settle down.

Ruby

However, in a sudden turn of events, she has found a worthy suitor and she’s ready to walk down the aisle. Therefore she wants those who had brushed her off to know that she is finally getting married.

She says that her wedding is going to be a colorful affair and she wants everyone to attend it, including the paparazzi, those who were jealous of her and her exes.

The first time I heard this song, I didn’t really feel it, but with time I came to love it so much so that I have listened to it twenty times, perhaps even more since it came out a few days ago.

Ruby

Ruby has a melodious voice – the kind that most of us would not mind listening to the whole day. As you listen to her, you get to connect with her on a more personal level because of the sincerity in her voice.

the beat and instrumentation are impeccable. I, However, feel that some people might not really like the mellowness and subtlety seeing as it’s a wedding song but I feel it works.

Listen to Naolewa below and tell us what you think.

Timmy Tdat’s girl, Rosa Ree is back with ‘Champion’

Rosa Ree is back on Champion this time featuring Ruby. You mean a woman must get rich through a Niggah? Not my words but Rosa’s.  This girl is just talented. Champion seems like a diss to me, seems like she is responding to some beef somewhere.

Champion talks about women. It says that women have the power and for sure this an encouragement to women. Timmy has a girl here and am sure he saw something in her.

The rap goddess has a  tone and it really sounds good. Rosa has the power and the energy. Her merger with Ruby for this jam shows that this women are champion. The voices, although Ruby does very little in this jam it is a women affair thing.

Ruby has been silent for sometime and now this collaboration shows her making a comeback to her world.

Audio Production of ‘Champion’

There is that voice that when it hits your airwaves you definitely want to listen. Rosa Ree is that girl. The audio in this jam is well crafted and just flows. Also, the beats are great. You know that Rosa has her own tune, right? Well this is evident in this audio. Whoever works on her sound tracks is one to watch.

Champion is produced by Luffa. Well seems Tanzanians are going far and are quick in succeeding the music industry.

Lyrical Presentation

Ruby has done the chorus. It is just dope. She also plays the back up role. This is the best jam I have heard today. The words are just right. We are all used to Rosa using swahili while delivering her work, well this time she has done English and Swahili.

Her lines are not vulgar in this jam. Could she be changing to a new style? They are full of wisdom though.

There is a line that says that she has the right to do what she wants and love who she wants to. She is very right on this one. In short people should stop living a double standard life.
