Basically, this track is about is about two people who are deeply in love and they are not shy to express how they feel about each other.

La Vie has been topping continental charts since it was released a few days ago and it has so far garnered more than 400,000 views on YouTube. However, this doesn’t really come as a surprise seeing how well arranged it is.

This jam is versed in French, Swahili and English and as you are all aware, you can never go wrong with the first two languages since when it comes to matters of the heart. Isn’t that true though?

I have listened to La Vie a couple of times since it came out and every time it as if I am listening to it for the very first time. Yup, it’s that good. Believe you me, it’s really infectious.

Don’t even get me started on Tanasha and Mbosso’s voices. The way these two sing, you’d easily assume that they are in love with each other because it’s so surreal.

Notably, the instrumentation and beat on La Vie are really dope but I wasn’t expecting anything less seeing as it was produced by the one and only S2Kizzy and mastered by Ayo Lizer.

Director Kenny from Zoom Extra also did a good job on the visuals for this song. From the set up to the model to the choice of colours and scene transitioning, everything was impeccable.

Billnass gets real in latest release ‘Mafioso’ (Video)

Talented Tanzanian rapper William Lyimo, popularly known as Billnass, has released a new song and it’s worth your time.

The song titled Mafioso has been getting a lot of airplay on TV and radio stations since it was released a few days ago and this does not really come as a surprise.

I really love this jam. Billnass’ wordplay is just something else. There are some things that he said in this jam that left me scratching my head.

For instance, the line where he says, “Nashukuru Mungu kanipa uwezo multi-purpose watoto wadogo level zenyu nyi ni pampers.”Quite impressive, right?

Put simply, Billnass has dope punchlines. To me, it seemed like his flow changed the moment he dropped the suit for a more casual look. I could also be wrong.

The other thing I loved about this song was the lady who was doing the background vocals. Her voice is so melodious and it really blends well with that of Billnass.

The beat is also on point. It makes you want to hit the play button over and over. You will agree with me that S2Kizzy did a commendable job.

Notably, the video was also good. It has this bougee feel. To add to that the shots and scene transitioning was perfect, props to Alfa Chain.

The song dubbed Nipotezee, which is a Swahili word that means lose it for me, has been receiving a lot of since it was released a few days ago.

Basically, this song is about two lovers who are currently not seeing eye to eye. The lady has sacrificed so much and waited for the guy to change but he didn’t. So, she’s telling him to get lost.

I totally love this jam. It shows that Hamisa is no pushover and it’s only a matter of time before she takes over the crown from the likes of Vanessa Mdee.

Of course, one of the many things that I really love about this jam is Hamisa’s voice. It’s so heavenly and you just want to keep listening to her. She does have what is referred to as a singing voice.

Notably, the beat and instrumentation on this jam is also on point. However, this does not really come as a surprise seeing as it was produced by the one and only S2Kizzy. He did a good job.

Rosa Ree has teamed up with Frida Amani, Chemical, S2Kizzy and Mamy Baby on ‘Naona Love’ and it’s a big tune (Video)

Award-winning Tanzanian rapper Rosary Robert, popularly known as Rosa Ree, has dropped a new song with Frida Amani, Chemical, S2Kizzy and Mamy Baby and it’s getting a lot of love.

The song dubbed Naona Love, which loosely translates to I can sight love, has been getting good airplay since it was released a few days ago.

Basically, this track talks about being  blind to your haters and critics by assuming that they are people who love you but are in denial.

I really love this jam. These lasses brought their A-game. Their flow is on point and you just want to keep listening to them.

Frida Amani is so dope. I wasn’t surprised that she got the first verse. Her wordplay is totally out of this world and it gets you hooked to this jam from the moment you hit the play button.

To be honest, this was my first time listening to Chemical on any jam and boy did she ace it. This lass has some dope punchlines and I just wish that I had discovered her earlier.

As expected, Rosa Ree also nailed it. Apart form the fact that she can rap and sing, I also love her bad girl attitude in all songs. To add to that, she often switches from spitting in English to Swahili and vice versa.

The hook by Mamy Baby and S2Kizzy was very catchy. Believe you me, you will find yourself singing along to it in no time.

The beat, which was produced by the one and only S2Kizzy was also dope. It blends really well with the flow of these lasses and it is very likely that you will hit the replay button a couple of times.

The video concept was good. Other than Rosa Ree’s scene the others were too simple i.e. a market and a garage and I honestly feel like the videographer really brought them to life.

Joh Makini shines in new sizzling single dubbed ‘I’m On It’ (Video)

Celebrated Tanzanian rapper John Simon, popularly known as Joh Makini, has dropped a new song and we’re really feeling it.

The jam dubbed I’m On It talks about the music business and why Joh Makini will keep entertaining his fans despite what people say.

I love this song. Joh Makini’s flow and wordplay is really dope. However, I must say that the parts where he’s spitting in English just sound funny. In my opinion, he should have just stuck with Swahili.

He also has some witty rhymes in this song that will definitely leave you scratching your head as you put two and two together.

One of the verses goes like, “Africa sitoki, nipo lowkey nauza mambo, mwarusha mi nina mambo, kolabo ndo hizi na sina bango, totoa peleka jando, unyama wa kitambo, jomba hii ni chanjo, msikae chonjo, kaeni kando.”

Notably, the beat on this jam is also dope. It keeps you hooked from the moment you hit the play button and you just wish that the song doesn’t end. S2kizzy really did a commendable job. Props to him.

I also loved the video. The quality is so good that you’d think that Joh Makini is from majuu. The scene transitioning was also on point.

Vanessa Mdee’s new jam with Rayvanny titled ‘Bado’ is getting mad love (Video)

Sultry Tanzanian songstress Vanessa Mdee, also known as Vee Money, has released a new jam with Rayvanny and it slaps really hard.

The song dubbed Bado, which is a Swahili word that means ‘not yet’, is about a man and a woman who are really into each other and vow that nothing will come between them.

If you are a huge fan of Vee Money, like yours truly, then I’m sure you love this song as much because it’s such a good composition. Actually, the word that best describes it is impeccable.

Rayvanny
Rayvanny

Here voice is beautiful as always. As I was listening to this song, I kind of felt like she was talking to me, like I am the lover who is giving her sleepless and if you think of it, that is not a horrible idea. I digress.

Rayvanny also came through on this song. He totally aced it. His musical approach is quite different from that of Vee so it helped spicing it up and the end result was really on point.

The beat is also decent. I love that it’s quite different from the Bongo beats that we all used to. The producer, S2Kizzy tried to vary it a little and to be honest, he really did a good job. Props to him.
