Shavey’s family calls out on Kenyans to help raise funds to for the late reggae artist’s funeral

Elishifa Kyalo aka Shavey popularly known for his Gyal hit song passed on last week after a matatu ran him over.

The news came as a surprise to many who had been wondering where he disappeared to. Well, it turns out that his career in music did not do so well despite having made it to Jamaican song charts.

He is said to be a one hit wonder as he did not release any other song after Gyal. The late Shavey however turned to working as a matatu tout and for years it seemed to be working out for him.

Family asks for assistance

Anyway, after his death; the late singer’s family has come out to request well wishers to help raise the funeral money.

This is because Shavey did not leave behind any savings which would have been used to Carter for his funeral. The family shared an Mpesa pay bill hoping some well wishers will help them out.

Hessy says Kayole matatu that killed Shavey is notorious for running over people. The popular cop has since issued a stern warning to the driver.

Dancehall star Shavey famed for the hit song ‘Gyal’ with Slice has passed on a few days ago. Shavey died after Mumunya matatu knocked him down.

The fallen singer had been a ‘squadi tout’ for matatus plying the greater Kayole route. His death has raised questions about Mumunya matatu.

Sacrifice to the devil?

Hessy is questioning the competence of Mumunya drivers. The cop says Mumunya might be offering sacrifice to the devil because of the rate at which the matatu is killing people.

Dancehall star Shavey famed for the hit song ‘Gyal’ with Slice has passed on. Shavey died in his Kayole neighborhood on Tuesday.

Kapuka Facts says that Shavey died after being run over by a Kayole matatu. It’s however not clear under what circumstance the matatu ran over Shavey.

From grace to grass

Shavey had been a ‘squadi tout’ for matatus plying the greater Kayole route. The dancehall star last made headlines in September 2013 when he was arrested for breaking into a butchery to steal meat.
