The 8 minute long song bears resemblance to the Tanzanian gospel songs by artists such as Bahati Bukuku, Christina shusho, Christopher Mwahangila among others.

Perhaps this has rubbed off on him since he has done collabos with Rose Muhando and Martha Mwaipaja from Tanzania.

Besides his collabos, Kasolo has several singles to his name most of which are in his native Kikamba language as well as Swahili.

Some of his songs include: Kyaa Kya Ngai, Kitole. Nitilaa Kivutha, Mapenzi ya Kweli, Natiiwe Naku, Yamekuwa machungu and many more.

The Video

Its mostly a lyric video featuring a slide show of pictures that depict the challenging lifestyle of the common mwananchi in different places such as the villages, urban slums areas, and some marginalized communities up country.

The pictures are enough to compliment the song in a perfect manner.

Lyrics

This song come at a time of self reflection amid the deadly pandemic. Kasolo could not have dropped this jam at any other time.

Pito langu limefanya nikupende Zaidi bwana

Pito langu limenifunza mengi mungu

Kila jambo hutendeka kwa kuleta wema mama

Jambo hili unalopitia litaleta wema kwako.

Stephen mentions daily struggles like how friends flee whenever one needs them the most. Also, how we get second chances in life long after everyone gives up and on us and there’s no hope left.

Lilian Muli is a good friend- singer Kasolo screams while sharing how much she has supported him

Gospel singer Stephen Kasolo was the first artist to feature Citizen TV news anchor Lilian Muli in a music video and apparently he didn’t take it lightly.

Speaking in an interview, the singer shared that Muli is a good friend of his and that’s why he decided to feature her in his song Kyaa Kya Ngai (Finger of God).

“Lilian is a friend. She has been sharing my music and when we met, I asked her to feature in the song,” Kasolo told Word Is.

More to come

The Kamba artist topped headlines a few months ago after featuring Muli in his song as a vixen. Fans were also happy that Muli supported him. Kasola promised another collabo might be on the way.

“We might do another collabo with her.” he said.

Muli after the song came out and thanked Kasolo on social media saying: “May God continue to uplift you. This is a good one. I’m so Blessed by this song,”

Now a video vixen! Lilian Muli appears in popular Kamba song

Citizen TV news anchor has surprised her fans by appearing in a new Kamba song.  The song, dubbed “Kyaa Kya Ngai (What belongs to God belongs to Him), is a gospel song done by popular singer Stephen Kasolo.

Muli in the song makes an appearance dancing to Kasolo’s rhythm. Many were impressed by Muli’s cameo in the song which has attracted a good number of views.

First appearance

It’s actually the first cameo Muli has done unlike other news anchors who have been in several songs before making a name in the media industry.

The last time Kasolo was topping headlines was after he dropped Hautasumbuka Tena featuring Tanzanian gospel superstar Rose Muhando a few months ago. Muhando was coming off an ugly encounter with Kenyans following a prayer session with controversial Pastor Kang’ang’a.

‘I took Muhando to pastor Ng’ang’a but we are not in any intimate relationship’- Kasolo

Kamba singer Stephen Kasolo confessed that he took gospel singer Rose Muhando to pastor Ng’ang’a’s church but has denied that the two are in a relationship.

It has been a tough week for Muhando after a clip of the pastor casting demons out of her went viral. Kasolo, who has been a close friend of Muhando for three years now, said that it’s sad some people claim he’s the one hiding her.

“I’ve never introduced Muhando to drugs or had any intimate relationship with her. If anyone has evidence of that, they should come out and prove it. Some people claim that I’ve been hiding her. That’s not true. As a matter of fact, Rose’s relatives came for her to help her get further treatment and she left the country,” Kasolo told The Nairobian.

Confession

Early this year, Kasolo posted a video on YouTube which has Muhando confessing that she’s in love with him.

“Kwa keli Mungu amenipa roho ye kumpenda kama vile mwanamke anapompenda mume wake,” she says in the video.

The two artists have released a song titled “Musitutafute.” which Kasolo says has been received positively.

“I’m happy that the hit has been received well. Those who are talking ill of us are idle,” he added.
