Reports of Swaleh Mdoe’s alleged suspension from Citizen TV have stirred widespread interest, leaving many viewers surprised and speculating about the reasons behind the move.

On Wednesday March 7th National Treasury CS Henry Rotich said the government was broke. Speaking during a meeting with Senate Assembly Finance and Budget Committee, Rotich said senators needed to reduce county budgets by up to Kes 18 billion as he prepares a second supplementary budget targeting national budget cuts of up to Kes 60 billion.

We are all broke!

Swaleh Mdoe wonders why Kenyans are on his case yet even the government is broke. The Citizen TV anchor used Rotich’s statement to argue that times are tough for everyone.

“Kenya is 84billion broke”-CS Rotich. So if the GoK can be broke why are people surprised when I declared that I am in a financial crisis?..Just thinking aloud,” Swaleh Mdoe tweeted.

 

 

 

 

Swaleh Mdoe has lost the respect he commanded before he revealed he was broke. The veteran journalist was tongue-tied by the response he got from his tweet.

Swaleh recently announced that he was selling his kidney to offsets some debts. The debt laden anchor is willing to part ways with his kidney for Kes 2.5 million to enable him service loans under whose weight he is struggling.

Savage response

Swaleh on Tuesday tweeted about the traffic culture in Nairobi. He said motorists were very disciplined on Ngong Road but misbehaved on other roads.

“I find it strange how Kenyans can be so disciplined on Ngong Rd and misbehave on other roads,” Swaleh Mdoe tweeted.

A heartless tweep responded to Swaleh’s tweet by reminding him of his financial problems. The tweep compared the traffic situation to Swaleh’s predicament.

“The same way @MikeOkinyi Is disciplined with his salary and you’re not, from the same employer, sasa uko na pay bill number Kama Red Cross,” Charles Kogi tweeted.

Swaleh Mdoe is in a financial crisis and he is exploring ‘risky’ option to get out. The Citizen TV anchor has resorted to selling one of his kidneys.

Swaleh Mdoe is seriously looking for a buyer to sell his kidney. The veteran anchor is even considering placing a newspaper advert in a bid to attract a bigger audience.

“I have decided to sell one of my kidneys after consulting my doctor on the matter. I have some pressing financial issues that I want to offset and all I can think of right now is selling my kidney. Feel free to share my mobile phone number (0722733130). I need to do this urgently. I would even be placing a newspaper advert if that is what it takes to get a worthy client” Swaleh Mdoe said in an interview with Pulse.

I don’t want to bother people

Swaleh Mdoe further says that he resorted to selling his kidney because he doesn’t want to bother people with his financial problems.

He asserted that he would still live a healthy lifestyle with one kidney. The Citizen TV anchor however doesn’t disclose what kind financial crisis he is in.

“I don’t really want to bother people. I don’t. I can live with one kidney,” said Swaleh.
