Why Tanzanian general elections campaigns is a WCB moment to sideline Harmonize again

Every country has its way of doing politics but the African politics don’t miss music to it. I mean we all shifted from the traditional days of political parties hiring choirs to create political songs.

Synonymous to their Kenyan counter parts Bongo artist have  since mastered a way to curve into the political arena.

Recently we have seen a bunch of artist working on doing remixes of their original music  just to fit in praising the incumbent President John Pombe Magufuli.

In their projects they delve in drumming support for the president for re-election come November 2020. In the songs they highlight the many governmental projects fulfilled by the Chama Cha Mapinduzi leader.

Diamond Platinumz with President Magufuli

So far the WCB crew led by Diamond Platinumz have lauded Magufuli’s  developments. In other words they fully endorse they incumbent leader for another term.

The political songs done

As at now WCB members have two hit song s out by Zuchu and Mbosso. Tanzania ya Sasa by Zuchu higlights Magufuli is the ultimate leader who desserves another chance of leadership. On the other hand Mbosso jumps in to the accolade with Tamba Magufuli a remix to his original song Tamba. Mbosso goes all in to praise the president and his cabinet for ending corruption-not sure if its true- but well . It is what it is! Politics.

Why WCB are all over the politics

For some reason you notice that even during the events we see these two tracks being the major players before the  rallies begin. Zuchu’s song has been considered the ultimate song before Mbosso’s the others follow.

By now you should be wondering who “others” are. Well, Konde Gang’s Harmonize was the first to do a song in singeli genre dubbed CCM.

Just like the other she hails the president and party for the good work but the noise around his political song is lower than the rest. I’m sure you now get what I mean. The whole team at WCB are using their social media pages for continuous support of their government has since overshadowed Konde Gang’s ambition.

Again it becomes the battle kati ya simba na Ndovu- quite literally.

Even though Harmonize has had recognition by the President and has even been asked to run for a parliamentary seat back in his home, WCB have just proven they are the Kings in the game of music.

Rosa Ree enlists Rayyvanny in new song “Sukuma Ndinga”

Controversial Tanzanian rapper Rosa Ree teamed up with Wasafi’s Rayvanny for “Sukuma Ndinga Remix”. A feel good rap song that brings out a reflection of the good life.

Sukuma Ndinga means Push the car, Ndinga is slang word for car,

The song comes few days after its audio release was done solo by Rosa Ree. Now as the video drops she enlists Rayvanny who is also good when it comes doing rap.

The song Sukuma Ndinga is basically about flexing about the good kind of cars as we try to make a agood life.

However as we go further you realize Rosa Ree is back at trashing her “haters”.

Lyrics

The songs title Sukuma Ndinga becomes its repetitive bridge before she starts of her rap. For one I think she did a good job to her lyrics.

Rosa Ree did not mince her words but put it out as it is. She rants of how she works hard for what she makes and is not quitting anytime.

Na move the shoulder na sukuma ndinga,Na push benz na beamer mixer kuvimba

Na for Ma country, na wakilisha, Nabeba ndoo kichwani napanda pipa

Huwezi nifananisha nao no no no, Me international wao local co co

I wont copy a new bugatti haice here, Huwezi Nikuta kwenye starlet not do

This life I work for na thanks God, For the cash low and haiters come

Then comes in the self declared Chui, Rayvanny, he does his thing by flexing about his music and the cars he rides.

I must say the duo were good combination for this  song but their message not so clearly put out. I think idealization for this song was not well done.

They both have a perfect vibe for this track but from where I sit fans deserved more than what they have offered. Rosa Rea and Rayvanny are household names both in Kenya and Tanzania but this for me did not work.

However, I must admit the visuals to this jam are just perfect. From start to end the production team led by the hit maker Bin Laden knew what they were to do.

For rating I will do with  6/10. Watch and tell us what you think.

“Trend Akee”by Tanzania’s Gnako featuring Marissa is totally worth your time

Tanzania’s rapper G Nako and Marrisa have released a new audio “Trend Akee.” Basically a song about Marrisa’s desire to trend on the social media platforms.

Gnako goes ahead and gives her the several options available on how to trend. Talk of options he gives just that.

Lyrics

Some of the suggestions given by G Nako include

Sema umetembea na simba au Kiba (tell people you walked with a lion or Ali Kiba)
Tafuta dawa ya korona, (Find the cure to corona)

The most hilarious suggestion is when G Nako  asks her to stone an army truck. He assures her that she will not only trend but also lose her life in her quest to trend.

Marrisa also has some good suggestions to make to him as she suggests that G-Nako should be Wema Sepetu’s Ben 10.

Well, who wouldn’t trend after having made such a move? Someone is rattling the snake huh!

Context achieved?

The comical song is quite hilarious and youths, who are mostly on social media and are keen on the trends can easily relate to it.

Thus the context of the song was well put out. However we now wait to see what happens in the video.

The artists start the song by saying that wanting to trend, is a desire of people living in urban areas which has some truth to it.

The song that has been going around in tik tok with fans using it to make little videos to keep them busy in this quarantine season.

G-Nako has thrived in the industry by keeping up his rap game.

He has specialized in collabos with artist like Maua Sama, Bull Ranking, Fny, Abdu Kiba,Kontawa, Aslay, Rich Mavoko, Rosa Ree, Shetta and several others, including Kenya’s Timmy Tdat.

The audio was produced by producer Aloneym. The song has been well received by fans so far and will keep trending as tik tok has a way of making this to happen. Seemingly, the song will achieve its main objective, which was to trend.

Rating 6/10

TID and Lady JayDee make a comeback with a new break up jam “Anymore” and we love it(Video)

The legendary Bongo Flava artists are back to the music scene like they never left. Lady Jaydee and TID have recently treated their fans to yet another juicy jam of the real bongo flava with their recent song ‘Anymore

As most of us know, the two who were huge in the industry few years ago and clearly they  are back to reclaim their glory.

Lady Jaydee on her part seems to have mastered the art of collaborations and has thrived on them most times.

Lady JayDee

In addition, she has worked with artists such as Ali Kiba, Kidum, Matonya, Prof Jay, Spicy and Mr Blue among others.

All collabos have been as successful as this one that she teams up with the ‘Nyota Yangu’ star; TID.

Video

The video is set on the outdoors complete with bystanders armed with smartphones recording their fare share of the drama as it unravels.

The child ‘Maya’ is an important element in the video as she brings the input and viewpoint of how separation impacts on children.

Her role playing as subject of the authenticity in the message being put across-Separation.

Further on,the conflict of the two once lovers is clearly shown in the faces of Jaydee and TID throughout the video besides us feeling it in their voices.

Lyrics

I can’t take it anymore, tumalize tofauti zetu

Evidently, the jam is on separation, though from the look of things its not mutual.

Why?Because the man TID feels that the union can still be salvaged. He tries to woo his wife back but seems not to be working.

However in Jaydee’ words,

“Sina hamu. Una madharau wewe
Tabasamu sina tena kwako wewe’
Sina hamu, hata bure sitaki. Ni afadhali ninikagongwe na gari”

On the other hand, Lady Jaydee  has made up her mind that it’s not workable and can’t stay.

She prefers being run over by a car than make amends. Tough situation it is!Clearly she is done.

On the hand, regardless of the conflict in the song, the fans have well received the song with accolades queuing in the comments section.

For a comeback this is just about it.Clearly fans want more.

Rating I will go for 7/10.What do you think?
