Tanzania to Ezekiel Mutua: Which criteria did you use to ban Tetema?

Days after Ezekiel Mutua banned Wamlambez and Tetema songs from being played in public areas, Kenyans are still wondering how and why he did so.

Tanzania’s BASATA has also joined the majority having questions following Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) CEO, Ezekiel Mutua’s move to restrict Diamond Platinumz’s song Tetema from being played outside night clubs.

How?

BASATA CEO has come out to question the move saying they didn’t understand the method Mutua and his team used because they have also examined the song and didn’t find any dirty lyrics.

”We have been following the songs closely and we have been summoning artistes who release dirty songs. Tetema had no problem at all and that is why we are wondering which criteria the Kenyan government used to deem it unfit and even restrict it,” Godfrey said.

According to Mutua, the songs are too dirty to be heard by children and mature audience.
