The track dubbed Riba, which is a Sheng word that means story, has been getting a lot of airplay since it was released a few hours ago and to be honest, it deserves all the attention that it’s getting because it’s really dope.

Odi Wa Murang'a
Odi Wa Murang’a

Ladies and gentlemen, this song is really infectious and perhaps that explains why I’ve listened to it more the twenty times since it came out. I’m not even kidding.

The musicians who were featured on Riba were well thought-out. It is such a dope combination of talents and if you ask me, this is the best Gengetone jam of 2020. Yup, I said it.

Odi Wa Murang’a totally aced that hook. To be honest, I do not even understand what he is saying but it just sounds pleasant to the ears.

Nelly The Goon also had a sick verse. However, I would prefer that he avoids being raunchy since that is too old now seeing as we are in 2020.

The Only Delo

The Only Delo really came through on Riba. He always has a unique way of expressing himself in songs and to add to that, he is simply interesting to listen to.

Breeder LW did not disappoint either. He is always dope. I was also impressed by the Nigerian artist who goes by the name Nifty Boi. He really spiced up Riba with his English flow because he’s also a bad ass rapper.

The beat on this track is impeccable. Listening to it makes you feel like hitting your local club and having a good time and that is not a bad thing or is it?

The video for this jam is also really dope. I totally love the quality. The styling and scene transitioning were also good and I thing whoever directed it deserves a pat on the back.

The Only Delo returns with new jam ‘Cheza’ and it’s a big tune (Video)

Upcoming singer The Only Delo, who is famed for his Chupa Ku Chupa mega hit, has released a new song and we are really feeling it. Like, really!

The jam titled Cheza, which is a Swahili word means that means play, can be interpreted in two different ways, it can mean that people are just playing normal games or that they are having coitus.

I really love this jam simply because Delo – who refers to himself as the King of Gengetone – has proven yet again that he is not a pushover. Many people thought that he would be a one-hit wonder but they were wrong.

In this jam, Delo proves that he is in it for the long haul. If you are his fan, like yours truly, I am sure you’ll agree with me that he just keeps getting better and better.

His wordplay on this track is quite something and so are his rhymes. He make it look so easy and you will get hooked from the moment you hit the play button.

As you listen to him, you’ll probably notice many similarities with that of Genge artists who ruled the airwaves in the early to the mid 2000s.

The beat for this track is also on point. It has all the elements if a club banger and I to be honest, I can not wait to see people dancing to it. Props to Mavo On The Beat.

Just like most of the Gengetone songs that have been released in the last two or so years, there is not much that I can say about the video but I feel it works.

The Only Delo is back with ‘Kipchoge’ and we love it (Video)

Upcoming singer The Only Delo, who is famed for his Chupa Ku Chupa mega hit, has released a new song and we are really feeling it. Like, really!

The jam titled Kipchoge pays homage to Eluid Kipchoge who made history after running a marathon in a record time of  1 hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds.

The underlying message in this song is that people should never give up in what you believe in no matter how hard it may seem because of one reason or the other.

In as much as I love this song, I have to admit that I kept comparing it to Nyashinski’s Marathon Runner (Kipchoge) – which was released in March this year – as I was listening to it.

The hook for both jams which goes like “Kipchoge, keep jogging, keep jogging,” and this is not good because it makes Delo look like a copy paster.

That said, his lyrics in this jam are solid, I really loved the rhymes in it but if you compare it with Chupa Ku Chupa, it looks like child’s play but then again maybe it’s just me.

The beat on this track is also on point. However, you won’t even notice that it’s even there because as is the case with Delo’s songs, you just want to listen to his punchlines.
