‘Odi Dance’ hitmaker Timeless Noel treats fans with new single ‘Dis Year’ (Video)

Talented gospel singer-cum-dancer James Owidi, popularly known as Timeless Noel and famed for hits such as; Odi Dance, Kanyaga Lami and Yela Kabisa, is back with a new song and we can’t get enough of it.

The track titled Dis Year, which is a corruption of the word this year, simply talks about how God is going to do great things in the lives of those who believe in him.

According to him, 2019 was all about asking God for the things that we really desire and 2020 is for Him to get back to his believers  and bless them abundantly.

The chorus for this jam goes like, “Uliomba sana last year jibu inakuja dis year, double double portion ni dis year, dis year, dis year, dis year, dis year ni ile year.”

I totally love this song. Perhaps you might have predicted that I’d say that seeing as I am a huge fan of Timeless Noel but I kid you not, Dis Year is really infectious.

Apart from the powerful message that it carries and the hope that it gives to believers, it sounds really pleasant to the ears and you just want to keep listening to it. To add to that, it is well arranged and the wordplay is on point.

The beat is also dope and believe you me, as I was writing this review I had to take a break to bust a few moves. Okay, I’m kidding but you get my point, don’t you? Props to Magic Mike.

Listen to Dis Year below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

The song titled Nare, which is a Sheng word that means ‘fire’, talks about accepting Christ and living according to his teachings.

The message in this jam is that every person will account for his or her deeds on the final day. As such, we should live righteously.

I really love this jam. Apart from the powerful message that it carries, you will agree with me that it’s very catchy and chances are you will not resist the urge to bust moves as you listen to it.

The lyricism is also dope, it sort of leans towards Gengetone and at some point you’ll hear things like peleka na rieng’ and kuspin na mayeng but that does not stop it from being a gospel song or does it?

The beat, which was produced by Vicky Pon Dis is also on point. Chances are you will have this song on repeat for the rest of the year after listening to it for the first time. Anyway, what am I even saying, we only have 3 days left.

As you would expect, the video is really energetic and it keeps you glued to your screen from the moment you hit the play button and it’s not for any other reason but because the dance moves are too lit.

Watch Nare below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Timeless Noel is back with ‘Rada Safi’ alongside Garvey Royal and we love it (Video)

Gospel singer Timeless Noel, who treated us to Odi Dance in 2017, has dropped a new jam with Garvey Royal and we are really feeling it.

The song dubbed Rada Safi talks about living according to the teaching of Christ. The message here is that those who chose to live in the light are happy as opposed to public perception of them being boring.

Garvey Royal
Garvey Royal

I really love this jam. Although it has a powerful message, it is easy to understand and you won’t feel like targeted for one reason or the other.

Also the fact that it’s a gospel dancehall jam makes it consumable by people who don’t think much about Christianity or gospel song.

Timeless Noel

The other thing that struck me is the beat on this jam. It’s really dope and gets you in a good mood from the moment you hit the play button. Props to Jijo Drumbeats.

The video concept is also dope. Apart from the styling, choice of locations I could also not get enough of the dancing, however, this does not really come as a surprise seeing as Timeless Noel refers to himself as the dance instructor.

Timeless Noel’s new jam with Uganda’s Levixone dubbed ‘Chikibombe’ is amazing (Video)

Award-winning gospel singer Timeless Noel has linked up with Uganda’s Levixone on a new jam and it’s getting a lot of love.

Also read: Timeless Noel is back with another banger ‘Yela Kabisa’ and we love it (Video)

The song dubbed Chikibombe talks about dancing, rejoicing ans showing gratitude to Christ for all the things that he has done for us.

To be honest, this is the first Ugandan gospel jam  that I have heard in such a long time and it’s really dope ladies and gentlemen. It really is.

Levixone
Levixone

Levixone really came through on this jam. From the lyrics down to the vocals, everything was so on point, if you are a huge fan of Ugandan music, you better be ready to be entertained.

I know you must wondering where Timeless Noel comes in in all this, well he is behind the dope choreography in the video and you already know that it’s too lit. Anyway, I wasn’t expecting anything less.

The video was a mash up of different media personalities and artists dancing along to the jam and I feel it works. You might find it simple but that does not necessary mean that the concept is not dope. Props to the videographer.

Watch Chikibombe below and tell us what you think.

‘Odi’ hitmaker Hype Ochi has dropped a hot new jam with Maxyn titled ‘Deni’ and it’s worth your time (Audio)

Hype Ochi, the gospel singer who treated Kenyans to the infectious Odi Dance alongside Jabidii and Timeless Noel is back with a new jam alongside talented songstress Maxyn Stephanie and we love it.

Also read: Are Kenyan gospel musicians asleep?

The song titled Deni talks about how Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross. The main message is that we have redemption through his blood.

Maxyn Stephanie
Maxyn Stephanie

There are several reasons why I love this song. The first one is very obvious and that is that Maxyn’s voice is so sweet, you just want to keep listening to her.

She did a great job on the hook. It goes like, “Yesu alilipa deni, alilipa deni, Yesu alilipa deni, niko set, niko fresh, me sina deni*3.”

Secondly, Hype Ochi also came through on this jam. He proves his creativity in this song thanks to his witty rhymes and smooth wordplay. You’ll also notice that his style in this jam is different form Odi Dance, KDF and the likes.

Hype Ochi
Hype Ochi

The third and last reason is that I think the audio producer – Again Go Sevil, did a good job – on the beat. However, if we are being completely honest, you’ll notice that the beat is similar with that of thousands of gospel songs.

Listen to Deni below and tell us what you think.

Odi Dance creator Timeless Noel is back with another banger ‘Yela Kabisa’ and we love it (Video)

Timeless Noel, the chap who treated Kenyans to Odi Dance in 2017, is back with another sizzling hit that we can’t get enough of.

Also read: New-age musicians are so unpredictable and that’s the beauty of music

The song dubbed Yela Kabisa is also dance-inspired and involves movement of the forearm and legs. The way I see it, it has many elements of Odi Dance but I could also be wrong.

According to Timeless, Yela is a word that is used by odis (ordinary people) as a cry to attract someone’s attention. Kabisa is word that they use to express gratitude. I also found this interesting, it’s not just you.

In the context of this song, however, Yela Kabisa means that when the man above calls you, you should accept him because he has great plans for you.

Timeless Noel
Timeless Noel

Admittedly, this song might not be as big as Odi Dance but I feel that Timeless did not disappoint his fans. The words used are easy to master and the dance style is easy to learn. Kudos to him.

The beat, which was produced by the one and only Madrum Cisse, is also catchy. Chances are you’ll find yourself bumping your head to this song even before you learn how to dance along to it.

Side note: I can only hope that Timeless Noel is planning to treat us to another song that will be as big as Odi Dance. A national anthem of sorts.

7. David Wonder

Just like the host, Mr Seed, fellow gospel artist, David Wonder also dumped Bahati´s EMB as his record label.

However, this did not bar his success in the competitive Gospel industry that saw the audience´s reception to his major jams like: Ndogo Ndogo baffle him.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwXWeQOFKBv/

That might be it for those in attendance, however, the emotional bit of the concert was unleashed after Mr Seed broke to tears.

The emotions

The ¨Made In Huruma¨ concert host, Mr Seed was too overwhelmed by the show that saw him break down to tears in the arms of his mother, who did comfort him and came out proud of her son.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwWdfiXF-dw/

Now, that´s how the successful yet emotional gospel concert went down.

Unveiled: Timeless Noel now breaks the silence of his music releases and failure to attend Bahati´s EMB rebirth

Speaking to Ken Rel Bis, Celebrated Odi Dance hitmaker, Timeless Noel breaks the silence about his music releases and failure to attend Bahati´s rebirth launch.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BvqkqstBoJm/

In reference to his music silence for a while now, with his last release being ´Kanyanga Lami´, Timeless Noel says:

Mimi si msanii, mi ni dancer.

So, ngoma mi hutoa, naiwachianga nafasi i-grow.

Right now, nafocus already there is another song inakuja maybe hapo August, then iende for 1 year.

Mimi sio kama watu wengine, mna-expect nitoe ngoma 50, apana.

Kitambo nilikuwa natoa muziki mob lakini saa hii, natoa Odi Dance inapata nafasi yake inagrow, wengine nao pia watoe zao.

´Kanyaga Lami´ nikisikia inaishaisha, natoa ngoma ingine.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwMBt1Ih0v3/

¨Kanyaga Lami¨ has now garnered close to 1 M views and 8,000 plus likes on You Tube.

However, how comes Timeless´ songs mostly feature Jabidii in them?

Jabidii ni jamaa nimekaa na yeye , nafeel tuko na connection poa na yeye sana.

Timeless Noel hawezi kuwa msee anahitaji, bila Jabidii.

Nimejaribu solo music kwa studio but haingii.

Lakini nikifanya na Jabidii, naskia iko fine.

It´s not a collaboration, but Jabidii anaplay an important role kwa life yangu and in my ministry.

His success

Timeless Noel dance styles have stood as his trademark since time immemorial, always emerging as a hit, how so?

Ile kitu nazingatia ni kile Wakenya wanapenda.

Ukirealize, KDF tu ndio ilikuwa creative style yangu but Odi Dance na Kanyanga Lami zimegrow sana kwa industry.

Saa hii, kuna style nimeona inagrow sana so niku-endorse tu then watu wakifanya, nafurahia.

Recent events

Speaking of his recent ground-breaking appearances in fellow celebrity gospel artistes´ events, specially Mr Seed´s ¨Made In Huruma¨ concert:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwUCnF8F3LD/

Ni God.

Ile kazi nimefanya, najua audience yangu, so na thank tu God.

Watu wa Huruma, hao ni wasee wa mtaa, ni ma-Odi.

So ukiona msee tu ord-inare amekureceive hivyo, nafeel kazi nimefanya iko poa.

Ata God angeniwachia tu wasee watano nipigie nduru, nitasema tu sawa.

So Huruma, asanteni sana for the love.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwPTqOSBimG/

What of his failure to attend Bahati´s EMB relaunch event?

Mwaliko nilipokea but nilikuwa na date na msupa wangu.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwFNup1DesR/

Laughing about the question and to-be response, the artist actually chuckled:

Na unajua uki-cancel date na msupa wako atasema, ¨Now you choosing Bahati over me?¨

So ikabidi.

Baha ni mtu wangu, amekuwa support system sana.

Big Up to Bahati and the relaunch!

But sitahata tena.

Advice to artistes

What pieces of advice would the Odi Dance star leave for the music industry?

We anza tu!

Najua unataka kila kitu ikuwe poa ndio mwanze, but anza tu!

For Mr Seed´s case of massive reception during his Made In Huruma Concert over the weekend, Timeless Noel is really happy for him and motivated by his friend from Huruma.

God ako na good plans for everyone.

Msingojee, we anza tu!

God atakupea watu kama tu Mr Seed.

Ni patience tu.
