RIP! Popular Kenyan DJ dies in tragic road accident

A Monday morning car accident claimed the life of one of Kenya’s most celebrated DJ who died on the spot.

Kenyans are still in shock, trying to come to terms with the every-day accidents, just a few days after we witnessed the grisly road accident of popular Kikuyu gospel artist Dennis Mutara who survived.

This time round, luck was not on our side, we lost the creative.

Nyeri-based virtual deejay Dunny Boy breathed his last on Monday after the Toyota Fielder he was travelling in lost control and veered off the road before rolling several times into a ditch.

This left the car in total wreck, entangling the DJ in its broken parts that saw police and residents struggle to get the lifeless body out.

His wife, Janet Wambui penned a heartfelt message to the father of her children, her lover and the only husband he knew expressing:

Beb…papa james..ba prisha….love….its so sad to believe that you no longer with us. We fought, we argued but you still supported your family. Rest in peace my love. Rest in peace papa james. Rest in peace dj dunnyboy…we shall miss you dearly.

A young, promising Kenyan talent who has been described as a good-hearted individual and whose mix tapes left a major mark in his fans’ lives.

DJ Danny’s body is scheduled for burial on Friday, August 14, at their home in Warazo jet Ebenezer, Nyeri county.

The Ghafla family wishes Danny’s family comfort and strength as they mourn the loss of such a talent. May his soul indeed rest in eternal peace!
