Jamaican singer Cecile forced to ask Willy Paul to act like a gospel artist after posting raunchy photo

Jamaican singer Cecile has also been getting a lot of heat from Kenyans after working with Willy Paul in his latest song Sikireti. Kenyans blamed the singer for promoting Willy Paul “ungospelness” and urged him to stay away from the young artist.

Kenyans have taken to social media also to bash Willy Paul for always working with secular artists and show they were angered by Sikireti which is a duplicate of his song Digiri. Cecile recently also advised Willy Paul to start acting like a gospel artist after the singer posted a half-naked raunchy photo on social media.

Comments

The post, which Willy Paul has now disabled commenting, attracted negative comments as Kenyans continued to bash him for his antics.

“Only the strong will survive,” Willy Paul captioned the photo and tagged Cecile.

Cecile replied asking him to stop making such posts:

“Gospel man, why don’t you put on the clothes before them start pon you again? What kind of hype gospel is this?”

After the comment, Willy Paul was left with no option other than barring people from commenting.

Hope Kid explains why he had to blast gospel singer Willy Paul for making ungodly songs

Singer Willy Paul has been in the news for quite sometime now because of the nature of his music. Kenyans believe the singer is not anything close to a gospel artist and have been pushing him to declare his stand.

Recently, fellow gospel singer Hope Kid topped headlines too for blasting Willy Pozze, asking him to return to his old ways and make beautiful church music instead of the dance hall music he has been focused on lately.

Not personal

Hope Kid has yet again come out to clear his earlier statement saying that he doesn’t have a problem with Willy Paul but was just asking him to return to his old days.

“Pozze is my boy pia yeye najua akiwekwa kwa spotlight kunihusu he will definitely throw shade. Pozze ni msanii and you can’t change him. He leaves in a world where he does the kind of music that he goes through. Nilisema namiss yule willy paul wa sitolia. Yule wa hizi nyimbo alikua naimba na gloria, huyo ndo pozze namiss,” he said in an interview with Mpasho.

He added that Willy Paul is obligated to feed his crowd a positive message that they’ll impact their lives and not just the type of music he has been making.

“Na the same thing huyo ndo willy Paul church mob zinamiss, they miss his music of that time. Nilisema aanze kuimba hizo wimbo zenye church zilimjua nazo because i have no issue with the kind of music he is singing at the end of the day he has a crowd that his songs minister to.” he said.

Willy Paul’s words after Groove Awards finally nominated him and Bahati, lifting their ban

Groove Awards in the past has complained that singers Willy Paul and Bahati shouldn’t be in their awards at all because they don’t sound gospel. Many agreed and judging by the collabos the two young artists have been hunting, we can’t blame the popular awards.

It seems however this year the two have been brought back into the line up despite their controversial music.

Willy Paul has been nominated for the the video of the year category with his song Jigi Jigi while Bahati is in the Song of the year and collabo of the year categories with Ndogo Ndogo.

On Instagram, Paul thanked Groove Awards with a long speech. He said:

“YES it’s amazing how things work . Force it till you make it.. what i’m saying is, do you and love you.. they will one day see the good in you.. dnt change for anyone.. as long as ur doing the right thing, keep at it… it’s funny but I’ve been nominated in this year’s groove awards under the Best video category with the song #JIGIJIGI.. yes it’s amazing.. God is love.. and im happy finally the organizers are seeing what im seeing.. my boy @weezdommusic has also been nominated for the same award under the same category… my people stand up and vote.. but remember, awarding is just a way of appreciating the good work. But siku ya kiama.. Will all go to heaven.. with or without awards… @grooveawards. “
