Xtian Dela exposes the ugly side of Kenyan gospel artistes that saw him quit the industry (Video)

Unknown to many, popular entertainer, Xtian Dela was a gospel artist before he went into all manner of entertainment crafts.

Xtian was a household name in the Kenyan entertainment industry but back then, he was known for gospel hits that bagged him massive viewership on YouTube.

However, to many, he derailed from his path of salvation after he started hanging out with a new circle of friends whose history has not painted them so well.

Not to mention names but what worsened his new career path is his recent explicit Club Covid Instagram show that has raised controversy and criticism especially regards the Kenyan youth.

Sharing his past on Jalango´s YouTube show, the former gospel artist narrated how he would speak in tongues and lead worship in his church.

I was a gospel singer and I am very proud about it. Satan didn´t visit me. I was a worship leader in church. I was speaking in tongues bro.

However, things changed and not because he lost relevance, but because the gospel industry itself is a stinking rot.

The adulting and life happened. When I got into the entertainment industry, I got through the gospel industry and a lot of people know me from the gospel industry. But truth be told, I have nothing to lose, I fear no one, I don´t give a damn what people think.

The hypocrisy, the misuse of power… you name it, is what best describes the Kenyan gospel music scene. So sad that music artistes would use the up and coming talents to stage performances and end up paying them nothing!

I got into the gospel industry and one thing about it, watu wanatumiana sana. People use each other and people are very fake out here bro. We are friends but I can sleep hungry because you can´t help me. Tulikuwa tunachapa ma mission narudi nyumbani manze nalala njaa. Na nimekuja mission we ndio umeniita, sometimes you get KSh 200,000 na mimi ata KSh 1,500 huwezi nipatia.

Forget the self-mindedness, born Aurther Mandela admitted that gospel artistes are but hypocrites who come on stages to urge people to seek salvation but behind closed doors, fornication and adultery is the order of the day.

No one is perfect and no one hasn´t committed sin. But for the social media personality, the misleading lifestyles of gospel artistes made him feel not worthy to continue with the gospel mission.

Gospel industry even before you break through is crazy. Cartels, bro. The things I was seeing behind the scenes – tumeenda mission lakini vile wasanii na watu wanakulana huko nyuma bro. I´m telling you the truth bro. I have nothing to loose mehn! Watu wanakulana angle za dhambi bro. And then I´m like, is this the gospel we are preaching? Is this the thing? I cannot lie to myself and lie to God, you better be real to one bro. Sio niingie kwa dhambi, but let me just be me.

Unfortunately, the vlogger divulged that majority of gospel artistes are but hypocrites who preach water and drink wine. At least 80% are drug abusers and fornicators who hide under the umbrella term ´gospel industry´.

And I can´t lie. Almost 80% of the gospel industry artistes, take alcohol, weed and just fornicate even more than secular artistes. Tunaenda event, alcohol is being served and a very famous DJ is sipping alcohol from below his seat and places it back.

Mentioning a few names, Xtian pointed at gospel archenemies, Willy Paul and Ringtone whose lifestyles since time immemorial were tainted with dark spots.

Turns out Willy Paul was an alcohol addict before recently coming clean to the public about his controversial lifestyle.

Moving on was to Ringtone Apoko whose house in Runda harbored all blends of wine and who has sexual affairs with multiple ladies.

We´ve ever gone to his famous house in Runda and he introduces me to some red sweet dessert wine and this made me change my life completely. Ringtone knows how to marinate people – there was this chiq he was getting intimate with and I am sure he dumped her that same night.

Willy Paul may be getting older but his ways continue to remain the same. In the past the singer has been accused of having multiple partners; and at some point was rumored to be beating his girlfriends whenever they have a disagreement.

With such stories circulating on social media, Willy Paul then decided to change from making gospel music to secular. Even now that things are cooling off on his side; the singer has once again found himself in trouble after one of his fans exposed him on social media.

According to the 18 year lady, Willy Paul slid into her DM and for some reason demanded to meet her the same day. As seen on the several screenshots circulating online, the former gospel artist is seen using a forceful tone while asking the lass to meet up with him.

From the way Willy Paul is seen texting the young lady, it’s obvious to tell that he had other plans in his head; but since this particular lady was playing hard to get his anger became visible.

At some point he mentions that it is an honor for the young girl to meeting making it look like he was special being; and he lady should feel special for being the chosen one.

After realizing that his efforts were not about to lure her into his place; Willy Paul then went on to refer to her as an immature child who was not ready to explore.

Well, with the ongoing lockdown due to the coronavirus seems that Willy Paul was ready to risk it all. However this is not a surprise since Pozee  has always been known for making such moves on IG ladies.

Rumor has it that he likes slender and light skinned women; and looking at the lady above seems like she fit perfectly as Willy’s match.

Controversial former gospel artist, Willy Paul has been slowly fading off from the entertainment industry; and for some reason he has been sharing all sorts of posts to keep fans talking. Just a few days ago the singer went on to share a video driving with his legs on a highway.

Knowing very well that he was risking his life and that of the person behind camera; Pozee just went on to share the video on his instagram page. He was also heard praising his driving skills as he showed off the stunt on a video shared on his gram. He went on to say;

With the video circulating on social media, many could not believe a person like Pozee was on the front line promoting reckless driving. Most of the comments left on the video which has since been pulled down, called out Pozee for being careless and desperate.

According to most fans, Willy Paul’s fame has finally reached it’s final destination; and this is why he cannot stop trying to be relevant. Others went on to mention that he is no different from Mr Seed who looks for fame through mentioning Bahati’s name.

This is after Pozee was also heard discussing Bahati in his video where he called out the father of 4 for claiming to have written his songs back in the day. Not quite sure who could be telling the truth but chances are that Pozee would never admit to this.

Kenyan musicians are not growing but who is to blame?

Save for the likes of Sauti Sol, Khaligraph, Willy Paul, Octopizzo, Nyashinski, Victoria Kimani and STL, I doubt most Kenyan musicians are known beyond our borders and who is to blame?

You see, we live in an age where an artist doesn’t have to rely on mainstream media. i.e. TV, radio and newspapers, to grow his or her fan base. As such, we’ll spare the mainstream media in this discourse.

I strongly feel like blame should be apportioned equally on the artists themselves, producers, DJs, fans and video directors. In my opinion, all these people are sleeping on their jobs.

These parties are supposed to play various roles to ensure that Kenyan music transcends our borders but they are slacking.

For instance, why can’t our producers make beats that can be enjoyed by foreign audiences or people who are outside Kenya?

Why can’t our video directors make good videos that are worthy of being played on international music TV shows? Why must they overcharge artists for good videos?

Why can’t our deejays, especially those who play in popular clubs,  have Kenyan songs back-to-back on their playlists? Why are they biased towards Tanzanian, Nigerian and South African artists?

As music fans, why are we not requesting and/or buying Kenyan music? Why are we not showing up for events to show Kenyan artists that  are solidly behind them?

Lastly, when will our artists stop being lazy? Why can’t they be proactive? When will they learnt that the biggest secret to success is consistency?

We’ve had this conversation so many times. It has gotten to a point where it is tiring to even talk about these things. It’s time for change!

Today feels like 10, 464, 598th day of the curfew and subsequent semi-lockdown, thanks to the ravaging Covid-19 virus. I have learnt a few lessons, but the major one?

Well, life is fleeting. Grab every chance that comes along. Do new things. Watch new movies. Listen to new music.

Find a soul mate. Or, make one. Make a hell of a wedding, budgets be damned. A wedding full of dance and colorful dress – chuck the traditional black on white. Make it a party, with an awesome musician.

It’s a world full of erratic, half-baked musicians with jumpy lyrics, Dear Diary. We need better.

We don’t have a budget to hire a celebrity musician – most of which thrill with a mere half of their releases – and suck with the rest. Ok, a band? Hell, no. A band in a wedding has become cliché.

Then, a single genre would bore. Not everyone digs slow gospel. A significant section of the crowd are reggae freaks, but what do we do with the vibrant Bongo fans? The dancers will be found here, remember.

Ok, let’s get a versatile performer, with an adaptability to perform across genres – and with a commanding stage presence.

In the world of covers, Michael Bundi is one of Kenya’s best kept secrets. It’s a hard task describing the immense enigma.

This guy can sing, rap, croon, chant and wail across the most difficult productions in the world of music – and in some cases – do a solo medley while at it! If that’s not incredible, I don’t know what is.

Michael Bundi cannot be tamed into a regular voice category. You want to hear your favorite cover in baritone? Mezo-soprano? Tenor? Countertenor? Contralto? He’s game. (Oh, you didn’t even know there’s a Contralto? Ha!)

A casual perusal into his YouTube channel will enslave you. There’s no exiting. There’s a butt-load of talent buried in cyberspace waiting to be discovered. It’s not hyperbole.

Bahati did not have it easy when growing up and by the time he was making into the entertainment industry; the likes of Willy Pozee and Mr Seed were already way ahead of him.

This however did not discourage nor make Bahati quit his music; a decision he now probably prides in as he ranked among the wealthiest celebrities in Kenya. Away for that, the father of four recently left tongues wagging after revealing a well kept secret about him and Willy Paul from back in the day.

Having grown up in the same area, Mathare – explains why Willy Paul and Bahati have such a long history together. As far as we know is that Pozee attitude towards long term friend took a turn for the worst after he become a celebrity overnight thanks to hit songs Sitolia and Kitanzi!

However as far everything is concerned we might as well confirm Pozee’s since Bahati’s career is already at it peak! With a family, wife and kids – Bahati has proven that his journey was slow but sure!

We need to cut Willy Paul some slack! Just like you and I, he should have freedom to live his life the way he sees fit.

If you check the comments section of his social media posts, especially Instagram, you’ll find so many people giving him on advice on all manner of things and I have a problem with this.

In as much as Willy Paul is a gospel artist (if he’s still one), you need to understand that he’s also young. When you are young, you make so many mistakes. Maybe you’ll learn from them, maybe you won’t.

Willy Paul is in the limelight unlike you and I and this means that you’ll see his blunders and he won’t know about yours.

Some people feel that since they are Willy Paul’s  fans they should have an input on his life and what not. Have you ever asked yourself if he gives a hoot about how  you are living your life? I guess not!

Others argue that as a gospel artist, Willy Paul should be a role model to young people who look up to him and want to be like him someday.

Truth is, Kenya itself has more than 50 million people. If  Willy Paul is not the kind of person whom you want your children to admire then you have a wide array of choice, even outside the country.

We need to stop giving Willy Paul unnecessary pressure because truth is at the end of the day, he won’t even listen to you! The only thing that you’ll earn is a block!

Weezdom is petty! And he embraces it since clout chasing has since become a career for most of these young celebrities in Kenya having a hard time getting creative!

After his beef with Ringtone, Weezdom has now moved to Willy Paul as he recently exposed him on social media; revealing unknown details about his past relationship with Mr Seeds wife, Nimo.

Apparently, before Mr Seed met Nimo; she had already dated Willy Paul. However back then, both Pozee and Nimo since never publicized there relationship until just recently when Weezdom exposed them while on an interview.

As seen on the post, Pozee went all out on Ringtone as he compared the busy body behavior to that of idle women! Willy wrote;

In response to the insults thrown his way by Willy Paul, controversial gospel singer Ringtone has now requested Dr Ezekiel Mutua; who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Film Classification Board to ban the song!

Through his official Instagram page, Ringtone shared the message below saying;

Nadia Mukami has potential to make it big outside Kenya

In most countries, the male artists dominate over their female counterparts. Even in Kenya the discussion is always about Khaligraph, King Kaka, Sauti Sol, Willy Paul, Bahati or the Gengetone artists – who are mostly male.

But somehow, there’s a female artist who has managed to break that ‘curse’ and that’s none other than the gorgeous Nadia Mukami – the lass who is behind hits such as; Si Rahisi, Yule Yule, Radio Love, Jipe, just to name a few.

In three years or so, she has gone from an upcoming artist to one of the most of the sought-after artists in the region and if you ask me, that is a commendable feat because it takes most artists a long time to get their names out there.

The truth is that Nadia Mukami is a hard worker and this is evidenced by the number of tracks that she has released since most of us came to know her.

To add to that, I think she has a good team behind her, they are always doing their best to ensure that she’s not only the best artist in Kenya but in the continent like Angelique Kidjo, Lira or Yemi Alade.

Also there is the fact that she is beautiful, has a bubbly personality and her angelic voice makes you want to listen to her songs over and over. She sounds very pleasant to the ears.

Although it’s tough being a female artist, bearing in mind all the challenges that come with it, I think Nadia Mukami has the potential. I she continues at the same pace, then maybe, just maybe, she might bag a Grammy someday.

Former gospel singer Willy Paul has been feeling the pressure from the current lock down due to the Coronavirus pandemic taking over planet earth!

So far artists like him can not afford to hold any gigs to perform from their fans since this is prohibited due to the rising virus that has left many dead. As for now people around the world continue to practice social distancing just to be safer side!

Letter to Mr President

With this, most people have been left jobless; an issue that has now pushed Willy Pozee to write Mr President a letter asking him to step in and help!

In his letter Willy Paul went on to remind the president that some people like himself have lost their jobs; and unlike before cannot afford to feed their families since their jobs are currently on a stand still!

In conclusion Willy Paul reminded Mr president not to sideline artists; since he already knew that the president loves and supports music. Willy Paul lastly finished by saying;

Dear Mr President, I’m just speaking from a musical perspective, if an established musician can feel the pinch like me, what about the uprising who only makes 5000 shillings per gig and they still have to pay rent and feed their families? Willy Paul this past weekend left many talking thanks to a video shared on Jalango’s Instagram page; before the radio presenter cum comedian pulled it down from his page!

In the video which is currently circulating on social media, Willy Paul is heard making fun of Bahati’s vocals; but what took many by surprise is after Pozee decided to mention Bahati’s wife in the mix!

According to Willy Paul, Diana should at least step in to help her husband sing some parts in his songs; just to avoid him from straining his vocals! He went on to suggest that instead of eating and staying idle probably it’s time for her to join her husbands career.

Former gospel singer Wilson Abubakar Radido, better known as Willy Paul, has released a new jam and it’s getting a lot of love from his fans and critics alike.

The song titled Jamaican Gyal (Wine) has been ruling the airwaves since it came out  few hours ago and to be honest we are also feeling it.

Jamaican Gyal is a club banger and it talks about how the lady Willy Paul fondly refers to as his wife can get down in the dance floor, enough to confuse any man.

I am a huge fan of Willy Paul so you can already tell that I love this jam. However, I strongly feel like Pozze is making secular songs with gospel beats but then again maybe it’s just me.

Pozze is a dope vocalist and in Jamaican Gyal he proves that he can control his voice by not going out of tune as he moves from high to low and vice versa.

Although I’m a big fan of his, I must say that I wasn’t impressed by the lyricism in this track. The verses felt so basic and it’s like he hurried to write the song.

The beat and instrumentation on this track are on point. However, like I mentioned earlier, they would have worked better for a gospel song than a secular one.

Willy Paul is back! The former gospel singer has released a new song titled Magnetic and it has been getting so much airplay since it came out a few hours ago.

In this jam Willy Paul opens up about his affection towards a certain lass. He says that he wants to make her his wife because their love is driving him crazy.

This song is not that bad. The Chuchuma hitmaker is still trying to establish himself as a secular artist so we have to cut him some slack.

That said, Willy Paul has an amazing voice. This guy can really sing and perhaps that explains why people still listen to him even after switching sides.

He has the kind of voice that sweeps ladies, and some men over their feet and to add to that, he sings with a Coastal accent, that is what sets him apart.

However, I must say that the lyrics for Magnetic fell short of my expectations. They are so basic and it actually made me wonder this is the same Willy Paul who is known to be a good songwriter.

I don’t know about you but the rhymes sound so basic, you can almost predict what he is going to say next. To make matters worse, there is a lot of repetition take for instance the chorus. It’s really tiring.

The beat and instrumentation by Ilogos Music is on point. Other than the fact that they are catchy, they also blend so well with Pozee’s smooth vocals.

I totally love the video for this jam. Although the concept is simple, I really love the execution. It goes without saying that the vixen is sexy AF and apparently she is the gospel singer’s wife.

Since after leaving the gospel industry Willy Paul has been showing fans a side that they had never been seen before; however word has it that he got tired of pretending and decided to be himself this time around!

Well his video showing his wife grind on his has left fans with mixed feelings! While others claim his career is now dead others went on to encourage him for being real; unlike some other artists hiding behind their ‘unholy’ ways!

Anyway while people are practicing self quarantine measures, Willy Paul has given fans a reason to talk with his video featuring his alleged wife!

Among those who trolled Willy Paul’s video is 10/10 presenter Willis Raburu; who went on to tell Willy Paul to be careful before the small Pozee gets erased – from all the rubbing seen on the video! Shade!

In another post, Willy Paul was seen trying to compare his wife to Bahati’s – but later deleted it from his Instagram page!

Anyway, when it comes to Pozee I bet their is nothing greater especially if he it keeps his banking overflowing!

It’s hard to understand what Kevin Bahati has become these days. If you’ve been following his musical journey then I am sure you know that Mr Seed introduced him to the gospel industry then he went on to become a bigger artist.

There was a time when the 26-year-old singer made good music, the kind that you could listen to even when an elder person was in the room. However, I don’t know what became of him, I really don’t.

For many people, when Willy Paul started becoming unruly, being involved in scandals and releasing secular music, they saw Bahati as the better option since he was rooted in the gospel, had a family and made good music.

Lately, I’m not so sure. He has taken a whole 360 turn and he is now even worse than his nemesis Willy Paul who has since ditched the gospel industry.

If there is a scandal today, you’ll probably hear Bahati’s name in it. He is also known for exploiting artists at his EMB Record label then he was the first artist to release a Gospel Gengetone jam.

Sometimes you look at the happenings in the industry and you wonder what happened to this young man. Did he let the little fame that he has get into his head? I really don’t know what to make of his recent behavior.

I’ve always assumed that artists or pretty much anyone in the limelight have people who advice them the same would apply for Bahati since he has been in the industry for 10 or more years.

Are they quiet as they see this young man throw his career away in the name of looking for relevance? Is it okay to do so? Because I don’t like sugar coating things I’ll tell you that he is a disgrace to the gospel fraternity.

There are people who have always seen him as a role model since he has always had a good reputation. What do they think of him now? Would they even want to associate with him?

There are things that are permissible when you are a secular artist but the fact Kevin Bahati has always identified as a gospel artists should actually mean something, otherwise he is just mocking God.

Just a few day’s ago the singer announced his engagement to a lady he featured on his latest song dubbed bye bye. The controversial singer introduced her as his wife leaving many doubting this.

However it turns out that indeed Willy Paul has bagged himself a wife who has left him feeling a brand new type of love!

Although the couple claims to be married, Willy Paul recently shared a post announcing his engagement after his woman agreed to walk down the aisle!

Through his Instagram page the singer wrote saying;

Not quite sure why Pozze pulled this move, but oh well it seems that just when fans think they are about to become friends; something comes up and they go back to square 1!

Willy Paul’s congratulatory comes barely a week after Gloria Muliro opened up to share her thoughts on the singer’s controversial ways. Speaking during an interview on Milele FM, Ms Muliro revealed that she had been praying for the singer hoping that he finds his way back to the light. She went on to add that she had no issue with the choices he has been making; however if they were to work together then it would mean that she would have to sit him down for a long talk.

Through his Instagram page Willy Paul recently went on to share a new post where he couldn’t help but brag about his latest achievement despite ‘cartels’ controlling the entertainment industry trying to shut him down.

It’s hot. Its catchy, it’s Uuuh Mama. Willy Paul and Meddy are threatening to take over East Africa with their latest collaboration. Uuuh mama is a such a hit, well received by the fans who are already flooding the comments section with messages of satisfaction.

Meddy, one of Rwanda’s finest seems to be expanding his musical territory. The slowly hit maker seems to be on a quest to expand his already popular brand. Among his notable songs include Slowly, Loose control and Holy spirit.

The intensity with which he landed in the secular sector is unmatched. The artist has continually released hit after hit as well as doing collaborations with various artists.

Collabos with artists like Alaine, Rayvanny, Ommy Dimpoz, Ali Kiba among several others have been flaming hot. I just have to say what whether its gospel or secular, Pozze is just an artist and whatever he does is blissful.

Paraphrasing these lyrics will just dilute the juice but I swear I don’t lie: the song writer took his sweet time.

Furthermore,the vocals are great. I had to listen to the song more than once in order for me to get the different part that each artist is singing. For a moment I couldn’t separate the two voices. These two are great together.

If you have never liked either Willy Paul or Meddy then this is it. For now, let’s enjoy the new jam as we await the video.

Someone please tell Pozze that the video for this song has to contain his magnificent dancing skills, beautiful Rwandese girls and a duvet.

Award-winning gospel singer Wilson Abubakar Radido, popularly known as Willy Paul, has released a new song and by the look of things, it’s going to be a massive hit.

The song titled Bure Kabisa is about a  lass who Willy Paul was dating but as fate would have it, things did not work out.

In the song, the Tam Tam hitmaker says the lady lied to him that she loved and cared for him but that wasn’t really the case.

He also says that the lady cheated with many people and gave him a heartbreak. As if that is not enough, Willy Paul says that he disagreed with his mother because of her.

The way this story flows, you can’t help but wonder whether Willy Paul is just being creative or if there is more than meets the eye. I think the latter is true.

Anyway, it goes without saying that this jam is dope. You might love or hate him but you have to agree that this chap is really talented.

I know some of you will be left wondering if this is a gospel song after listening to it but you know what? It does not really matter.

“Cartels are running the music industry in Kenya!” An angry Willy Paul opens up

Ever wondered where some of our artists get money from to shoot their videos or why they release songs back to back?

Well, Willy Paul has come to share unknown details about the music industry that has left many talking. The former gospel singer apparently claims that the Kenyan music industry is being run by cartels in the country.

Apparently these so called Cartels are in charge of what songs should hit and decide which events one should or should not attend. In a detailed post shared on Willy Paul’s page he wrote saying;

f***k all the industry cartels, look at all the love in this video!! ever wondered why some of ur favourite artists are not in some events that’s you’d expect them to be in? it’s because in Kenya if dont dance to a cartel’s tune then you are an enemy. if you act like you know ur worth ur an enemy, if you keep ur brand high ur an enemy, if you release hits ur an enemy, if you they call you for a deal and you dont give them a cut you are an enemy, and they’ll end up giving that space to someone who doesn’t deserve it.. this is so sad.. yaani it’s about who knows who!!! what’s happening to our industry??? let’s mention names.. this has to stop!! if we dont fight now, the next generation and our kids are gonna suffer very badly!!!!
