“Your life is already out there mama, be prepared!” Yvette Obura pens warning letter to daughter

Celebrity parents have been victims of trolls but the last person you want to get involved is your child.

The advent of social media came with no warning sign of what it is like and what it would be like after it became available at everyone’s disposal.

This has seen many learn through it, others have been trampled upon and others have come out strong.

Mueni Bahati is born to Kenyan gospel star, Bahati and mother, Yvette Obura. No lie, Mueni was born into fame and she might not have an easy time getting out of it.

They say, if you can’t beat them, join them. This is exactly what Yvette is schooling her 4-year old daughter about.

Dear Mueni

In a long letter to her dear baby girl, the mother of one penned:

One day you’ll be old enough to understand how the world works. To understand the meaning of smiling to the world when your world is crumbling and understand that you don’t need to give explanations.

“You’ll understand to live according to your own terms” the letter continued.

Yvette emphasized to her young one that she will never be beautiful in everyone’s eyes, warning that growing up is a scam.

You’ll understand how to go through bullying and not defend yourself. To sit in a corner and sob. You’ll understand to go to bed and wake up with swollen eyes, it’s part of growing up.

However, she articulated ‘it is okay not to be okay’.

You’ll understand even in your silence, you will still be castigated.

The 27-year old feared for trolls of the future against her daughter, Mueni but assured the little one that with God, she will come out strong.

Be ugly, fat. thin, disabled but never forget to appreciate God for HIS doing. It’s a cruel world out here mama. People learned to spread hate more than love without them thinking about other people’s emotions, but it will always be you against the world.

Warning her that her life was already out in the public and she better be prepared for it all.

Your life is out there, as you grow up be ready for everything that will be thrown at you. They’re already calling you ugly but in my eyes, you’re the most beautiful person. ????Be like mummy a weak woman with a strong GOD.

All in all, Yvette affirmed:

In all these mama, live your purpose.

I love you mama @mueni_bahati.
