The Only Delo is back with ‘Kipchoge’ and we love it (Video)

Upcoming singer The Only Delo, who is famed for his Chupa Ku Chupa mega hit, has released a new song and we are really feeling it. Like, really!

The jam titled Kipchoge pays homage to Eluid Kipchoge who made history after running a marathon in a record time of  1 hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds.

The underlying message in this song is that people should never give up in what you believe in no matter how hard it may seem because of one reason or the other.

In as much as I love this song, I have to admit that I kept comparing it to Nyashinski’s Marathon Runner (Kipchoge) – which was released in March this year – as I was listening to it.

The hook for both jams which goes like “Kipchoge, keep jogging, keep jogging,” and this is not good because it makes Delo look like a copy paster.

That said, his lyrics in this jam are solid, I really loved the rhymes in it but if you compare it with Chupa Ku Chupa, it looks like child’s play but then again maybe it’s just me.

The beat on this track is also on point. However, you won’t even notice that it’s even there because as is the case with Delo’s songs, you just want to listen to his punchlines.

Watch Kipchoge below and tell us what you think.
