Tom Mboya Primary School releases the results of Hassan Joho’s KCPE… He didn’t score any ‘E’

Mombasa governor has been under fire from his critics who believe success has everything to do with a perfect score sheet in academics.

Hassan Joho scored a mean grade of D- in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) when he sat for the exam in 1992 at Serani secondary school.

The revelation that the Sultan scored D- and not a C+ sparked investigations into his academic qualifications. Detectives from the anti-graft agency visited Tom Mboya primary school in Mombasa on Wednesday April 5th as part of their investigation into the governor’s academic background.

The aim of EACC visit to Tom Mboya primary was to find out whether Joho was enrolled at the school, particulars of the enrollment, if he sat KCPE there and the grades he attained.

Tom Mboya primary school has confirmed that Hassan Joho was their student and sat his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) there in 1988.

Joho’s score was as follows: English: 55 C+, Kiswahili: 60 B-, Mathematics 61 B-, Science and Agriculture: 36 D+, Geography, History, Civics and Religious Educations: 36 D+, Art and Craft, Home Science and Music 38 D+. He scored a total of 286 marks.
