Top Kenyan DJ cries for help after being forcefully evicted from his house over rent arrears (Video)

A popular Kenyan DJ was left in tears after spending one week away, only to return to his rented house and find the place completely swept clean by the landlord over rent arrears.

The Deejay Prince, sounding heart-broken, shared a video of his once-packed 3-bedroom house, now completely racked empty.

The untimely eviction

With water bottles scattered to the floor, polythene bags and a few shoes thrown around, kitchen shelves and his bedroom closet all swept clean.

The place looks all messy but with nothing valuable left behind.

“This is the situation. So what happened, I’ve been away for a while, I went to visit my small bro. I went there last week on Wednesday, only to come back and find that my things have been packed and stored away,” he revealed.

So on asking the caretaker, he was told that strict instructions had been issued by the landlord to seize all his household items.

“So they come in when I am not around and take away my property. Someone make me understand if this is within the Law, please tell me,” he lamented in the background.

His cry for help

Humbly pleading with all who owe him whatever amount of money to give it back, because clearly, he does not understand how he is going to survive like this.

“These are COVID-19 effects. Manze kama uko na deni yangu, nisort. I have like 5 creative works that I have done for several companies, that I haven’t been paid even a bob for,” Deejay Prince added.

The multi-talented entertainer confessed that he had not paid up for rent for several months now because he had not been working for very many months since COVID-19 struck.

However, he did not believe that the surmounting rent arrears were reason enough to kick him out in this manner.

“This is what happens when you don’t pay creatives in time. Anyone willing to help out, please reach out and tell me whether this is within the Law,” he pledged.

Fans felt sorry for him, some freely offering him legal advise, while others offered to help financially.
