Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago dishes out jobs to Nasa politicians in Eldoret

Baba Mdogo aka Jackson Mandago has decided to hire Nasa politicians who were floored by their Jubilee counterparts in Eldoret town.

The Uasin Gishu governor acknowledged that Nasa endorsement of his candidature catapulted him to victory against DP Ruto’s alleged favorite candidate Buzeki.

Nasa principals led by Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka endorsed Mandago during a rally in Eldoret. The incumbent governor garnered 191,467 votes against Buzeki who managed 148,121 votes.

Mandago has now offered two NASA allied MCAs jobs in his government as a kind gesture for Nasa’s unwavering support to his re-election.

Mandago and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi campaigned for Charles Okumu of ODM, who ran against Francis Muya of Jubilee, for Langas MCA. They also backed Andrew Sure who ran against Jubilee’s Peter Chomba in Huruma ward. Both Okumu and Sure lost.

The Huruma and Langas MCA hopefuls who were floored have now been offered jobs in Mandago’s Uasin Gishu county government.

“I have told them that even though Baba lost in the polls, they should not be worried because Baba Mdogo won and they will be part of my team,” Mandago said in Eldoret on Wednesday.
