Ugandan songwriter who wrote Nameless’ hit song ‘Butterfly’ dies after undergoing abdominal surgery

East Africa has lost greatly admired songwriter who passed away on Wednesday December 12th . The deceased wrote Nameless’ hit song ‘Butterfly’.

Artists from across East Africa are mourning the death of Saxess Busulwa. The Ugandan songwriter passed on after undergoing abdominal surgery at Rubaga Hospital.

Saxess Busulwa is said to have had a relapse from an operation he had a decade ago after being involved in an accident. The deceased songwriter went under the knife in July when metal implants in his hips broke.

Saxess was once again admitted to hospital in December after developing another complication. He died from a failed abdominal surgery.

Saxess wrote several hit songs including ‘Butterfly’ by Nameless. The fallen songwriter also wrote ‘Gold-digger’ by Jackie Chandiru, ‘Eddiba’ by Juliana Kanyomozi, ‘Fire tonight’ by Rema among other songs.’
