Uhuru Kenyatta’s vote saves goat thief from being lynched by a mob

Every vote in Mount Kenya counts. A mob in Murang’a spared the life of a thief after he assured them he would vote for Uhuru Kenyatta in repeat presidential election.

Irate residents in Mukuyu market were set to lynch goat thief Richard Macharia Wangechi. They only stopped  setting the theif on fire when he produced his ID and voter’s card.

His death would reduce Uhuru’s vote

The 22 year old thief confessed to stealing his grandmother’s he goat. The mob cornered him and beat him for hours before they spared his life when he was asked to produce his ID.

Some residents argued that killing Richard would reduce Uhuru’s votes. This was the only reason why the angry mob spared his life.
